Creekside Kennel - Lots of lovin' attention for our puppy visitors!

Dawn knows your pet! She has a lifetime of experience with dogs. She knows your breed, even…read morebetter than you do. We visited and reviewed every kennel we could find in the Albany and Troy area. Creekside was the only one we felt comfortable with. We've used this kennel for a single overnight up to almost 3 weeks. I've been there when people were dropping off their dog for months at a time. That speaks volumes. Definately reccomend Creekside Kennel.

My dog stayed here from 4/15-4/21/26. When I picked him up he was very dirty with urine and dried…read morefeces on his feet and legs. He also had raw spots on his elbows and knees. Brook, the manager, told me he had given her no problems other than when she went to wipe his paws before bringing him out to me. She offered me a rag and when I asked what it was for she replied it was for his "piss paws". I was shocked. Why was he standing/laying in his own urine/feces? Was he expected to eat in that same space? He also hadn't eaten the food I provided (his normal diet) so Brook took it upon herself to feed him "canned food" I don't know what kind. Again, I never received a phone call to authorize this. Brook knew he had skin allergies (he was there with both his anxiety and allergy meds-neither of which were dispensed to him) and random food can cause this to flare up. After getting him home and thoroughly brushed, bathed and fed, I contacted the facility and questioned his poor condition and was (for the first time) told my dog was uncooperative and attempted to bite... again, I was never told this until that point. If I had known there was an issue, I would have gladly okayed using a muzzle as needed. I am upset and concerned and will NEVER let my dog come back to this facility. He has boarded at other places and never has he ever come home in such a horrible state. On the contrary, he always comes home in pristine condition. I never write reviews but feel this is necessary and people should be aware. I'm sad because I like to support local businesses but this is one I cannot get behind.

You're driving 45 minutes to pick it up at some hippie herbal store cause they don't have a pharmacy. After being told I 'sounded upset' after 3 WEEKS of them screwing up the prescription over and over and over, I was handed off by some weepy snowflake to someone who couldn't even apologize - I'm sure you can figure out what I'm saying by a quick glance at the staff photo. Lots of Baby Snowflake Karens. The only cool person was the vet herself! The best? When we got sick of their nonsense and went to our old vet, turns out that 1 of the conditions they claimed our kitten had, THE KITTEN DIDN'T HAVE. If you're gonna do a cash grab, be subtle about it. This is an edited review after calling this morning to try to figure out why I was suddenly charged…read morealmost $500 unexpectedly. The kennel had forgotten to charge a previous 2 night stay. They told me at one point that they don't keep a card on file, but I had given them my debit card to charge that stay and they forgot to do it. So when they remembered, rather than calling me and letting me know they were going to charge my debit card, they just charged it out and sent an invoice that said December 30. I changed my debit card number yesterday and will never give it out again this way to a business. When I called to find out what was going on, there was absolutely no accountability for the financial impact of forgetting to charge my card and then doing it without at least notifying me first. This was the culmination of several issues with the clinic. I won't go back.

This is a great place to bring your dog for the most part. The staff truly care about the animals…read moreand are very communicative with owners about any issues. The owner seems like she honestly cares about the animals but she disregards many employee concerns. It is not an ideal place to work. Employees are often not communicated with until last minute about staying beyond their designated shift and they are asked to perform tasks well outside of their hired job description. For example, incubating and raising ducks and chickens inside the bathroom of the business. This also led to the heat lamp blowing from being left on all the time, and causing a small fire that was thankfully caught by another employee before it caused any damage to people, the dogs or the building. The ducks and chickens remained even after. The entire bathroom was virtually unusable as the ducks and chickens were allowed to roam around defecating on the floor.

I didn't find work for months. It was a terrible time. And I forgot about the debt because I was barely getting by. It is her right to decline but purposely trying to sabotage me getting service from someone else is truly mean spirited.

This is one of the best run, caring and compassionate businesses in the Capital District. Pet Spas…read morewas the only place that I would take my dog to for services. I took my maltese here for boarding and grooming for almost 16 years (my dog just passed). In this time the cost for a grooming only went up three dollars and some change! I was always happy with his cut and reasonable time it took for him to be groomed. Amy used to groom him, she was the best. My dog always came out with a big smile on his face. The staff are ALL beyond kind and considerate towards my dog and I. I boarded him at least once or twice a year (for 10 days) in the suites with the webcams. You must book early for these on holidays. I loved checking in on him and watching him play in the doggie day care (while I missed him on vacation). The staff are attentive to any medications and/or dietary needs, and will call you if there are any major problems while boarded. This business is so great that there is a strong following of people who keep it really busy, so plan ahead for a grooming and boarding. It will be worth it. I totally recommend Pet Spas and Suites. They are so personable and caring. This isn't run like a corporate pet store where you never see the same people again the next time you come in, the crates are half the size at the corporate chain pet store. I went once and they were rude. I had a friend whom the corp. chain didn't take notes on her dog who had a hip problem (nor did they listen to the owners) and the dog ended up getting hurt- requiring surgery- costing thousands of dollars and pain and suffering to her dog. That would never happen at Pet Spa. It will be sometime before I get another pup but I know where I'll be taking him/her when I do. I will miss the Pet Spa & Suites family until then. Thank you for all the love you gave my dog Caesar and the beautiful things you did to honor his life after he passed. They meant the world to me.
