I went there stressed he had a UTI then you leave him covered in urine and also some STOOL, My poor baby looked terrible and they left him covered in his pee all scared and didn't even attempt to clean him other than putting a pee pad in his crate which did nothing to clean him otherr then soaking up the pee left in his crate. they also had to take his collar off and i wasn't going to put it on him until the next day to then realize they broke his collar taking it off him and didn't even tell me that...I love dr Kinney, she is the only good provider there but whoever treated my Milo that day did not care for him like you would your own pet, I'm extremely dissapointed with how he was cared for, i do not recommend any other vet then dr Kinney if you need to see someone there.

This letter is written not only in mourning, but in the belief that what occurred was unacceptable and must be addressed. From the moment we arrived, the experience was cold, transactional, and lacking the urgency or compassion one would expect in an emergency setting. At one of the most traumatic moments of my life, I was met not with reassurance or decisive action, but with delays and indifference. My dog Max was in critical condition and required immediate intervention. Despite this, there was a significant delay before a doctor was able--or willing--to operate. That delay had catastrophic consequences. During the time we waited, my dog's tumor ruptured. He hemorrhaged. He suffered a stroke. What may have been survivable with timely action became fatal. It was all about the money- transactional. I firmly believe that your team's failure to act with appropriate urgency robbed my dog of his chance to live. What happened is unforgivable. I hope that acknowledging it can prevent another family from enduring the same kind of loss.

When we got there.The place was packed. We were told we had to wait for all the appointments to be seen first. Now keep in mind... Time sensitive before tissue damage. Are you kidding me?We're told to bring him right over! Then told us to take him to an urgent care center down the street , they might take him in sooner. We pay for the insurance for him to be seen there. Not add another vet. I am so disgusted with them. He will not be going back to the Latham office!! Liars and they had no regard for our boy. I will drive the extra time to bring him to a different banfield office!!!! No apology from them or nothing , just cold and harsh!!!

I brought my dog in because she was acting sick. she saw a dr.carpenter they had me drop her off and about 4 hours later come in to pick her up. they said she " seemed fine just her back legs are hurting her ", 24 hours later she is still puking and unable to breathe or move. I call again and rush her in, for them to call me 2 hours later saying " you need to put her down she has cancer all over and nothing will help this " I lost my 5 year old dog to people who simply lie and can't do the correct job. I'm in disgust with this place and highly advise to never go here !!!!

    I want to start by saying my first experience here was great. When I brought my cat in, the staff…read moretook their time, listened, and really walked me through everything. That's the reason I came back when I got my puppy and continued using them for vaccines and other concerns. Unfortunately, my experience since then has been very frustrating. Back in December 2025, I brought my puppy in because we were preparing for his first flight. I explained that he's very high energy and gets anxious. I was first told to try Benadryl, which did nothing. I called back and explained that it wasn't working and that I was concerned about him being on an 8 hour flight. They prescribed gabapentin and told me to try it ahead of time. I did, and it still didn't help at all. My dog was still extremely anxious, barking, and unable to settle. When I called back asking for other options, I was basically told there was nothing else they could do and that dogs sometimes surprise you on flights. That was not helpful advice. My wife and I ended up being kicked off our flight because our dog would not stop barking and crying. That situation was stressful and honestly could have been handled better with more guidance. More recently, my dog has been sick and we have spent over 2000 dollars on visits, bloodwork, medication, and ultrasounds. What has been the most frustrating part is the lack of communication. I have had to reach out multiple times just to get test results. This has happened more than once. When your dog is sick, you should not have to chase down answers. At this point, I feel undervalued as a client. I do not mind paying for care, but I expect communication, support, and follow through in return. That has not been my experience lately.

    Always a good experience until this week. attempted to order heartworm combo from chewy with a…read moregreat deal, to save a little money in this terrible economy to help my parents living on social security. this combo was recommended by vet, but then said they don't have it yet and they have to finish what they have, then backpedaled on it because basically saying we won't give you that option because we'll lose money. 2 pills for heart worm/flea tick cost $43 at office. I was trying to get 6 for $105 so 6 at price of a little over 2 months of theirs. I get a voicemail from Tabitha that they don't work with chewy and you'll need to come get a script and because he's growing you should just get from us. Call back talk to Abby explained cost and said well at least get 3 months worth and that already saves money, even if he goes out of dose. She says no problem I'll request that. I tell her I'll pick up after work. go to leave work, call the office ask if it's ready, yes it is Tabitha said. drive 25 minutes through horrible northway and wolf rd traffic to get there and have a note that they can only write for 2. I explain that I called back. Tabitha keeps saying I called and told you that on your voicemail. I again said but I spoke to Abby and she said she'd have it ready. I asked why no one could call me with the change or tell me when I called after work. Abby kept her head down and the other person said I wasn't working yesterday. Tabitha again stated she left that in the voicemail. they ask the medical director and he says no that's our policy. again, no apology for not following up with me when Abby told me it would be ready. I was annoyed, they were defensive, couldnt take responsibility for not properly communicating, and Tabitha kept saying the same thing not understanding that communication happened after her one voicemail. I again was upset and said I didn't want it and thanked them for wasting my time. fast forward office manager calls won't talk to my mother about it. my mother explained I worked as a nurse in an ER and likely couldn't talk. phone rang while in a room with a patient and hit the side to silence. same thing a few minutes later. my mother gets a nasty email dismissing my animals and reminding of a serious vaccine my puppy needs. so now my animals have no care and my puppy is in danger because. he's due for shots. mom calls, office manager states I picked up and hung up on him. clearly this is what hurt his feelings. lied and said the whole waiting room was full. there was absolutely no one in there until I walked out the door and someone was coming in with their dog. he rescinds the dismissal. then continues to say I hung up on him and he takes back the rescind. I asked multiple times to speak with the owner, as they are taking no responsibility for the miscommunication and how rude and dismissive the three desk girls were. of course they are all going to say the same thing, especially because they were the ones who neglected to communicate after I was told the script would be ready. the office manager tells my mother I can't talk to the owner as he manages this. She asked again multiple times to speak to the owner and he kept telling her no I cannot. and continued to dwell on the fact that that i "hung up" up on him. while my iPhone shows both calls in red meaning it was a missed call and says missed call underneath it. if i picked up hung up it would show as incoming. this is truly unbelievable. all because they were want the business for their meds. they also told me it was illegal to prescribe that many. you can order 1, 6, 12 from their med site. I've had dogs who fluctuated in weight in 25-50 and 51-100 many times throughout the year, so even when you're not a puppy weight can change. I'm not stupid enough to put the dog in danger and give the wrong dose, just trying to save my parents some money. unbelievable that they've cut care off to my pets immediately with nothing lined up. my poor puppy can't get his vaccine in time. neglectful. I'm sorry the office managers feeling got so hurt over his lies. he has a lot of pull clearly that you can't speak to anyone above him. I guess it's his practice to run. Peter is clearly lacking in mutual respect as well.
