Dr. Gundersen is kind, gentle, and even my super-shy dog loves seeing her for acupuncture. My 95 pound dog had 13 years of good mobility, and I believe acupuncture was a big part of that. Besides having a stellar bedside manner and being a skilled acupucturist, Dr. G. is an astute clinician who diagnosed my dog with an abdominal mass when he collapsed during a walk. I thought he had heat stroke, but she examined him carefully, and on the basis of his age and weak hind-end pulses, she felt he might have an abdominal mass, which he did. Turned out to be a pheochromocytoma, which is usually fatal, but thanks to Dr. G's outstanding diagnostic skills, he saw a surgeon and made a full recovery after surgery.
