We've used 4 Paws for dog boarding our chocolate lab and their service has been absolutely amazing! The staff always greets our pet with warmth and excitement. Amanda had a tall, tall order from me and she delivered with loving care and discipline for my pups. I have Mom and her entire litter that I am raising and we desperately need a break (Vacation!). Amanda was honest about the arrangement and what was needed. Facilities are great--clean, and she has a nice, open spread where the pets can run and play. I so appreciated her willingness to work with me and care for my dogs. My fur babies are rambunctious and rascals but she cared for them and even had them walking on leashes. Left my two big boys Ben and Radar here for 3 nights. If I ever need to board my dogs again I will 100% be returning. I was extremely nervous to leave them in someone else's care but as soon as met amanda and saw the indoor kennels and the outside play areas I was sure that they would be happy and comfortable. Amanda was extremely accommodating especially since I wasn't able to pick them up at the agreed upon time and had to adjust our schedule. The kennel was dirty. One of my dogs had a loose still so I agreed to removing the food. Thought it would be just overnight. Most of their food was still bagged. They were so hungry. I notified the owner when I would be there to pick them up. She said her helper would be there. I was fine with that. We arrived and nobody was there at all. We love this place! Our previous boarder moved a few hours away so we had to find a new place to keep our girls. Mind you we have 2 female Belgian malinois too. Not many people can handle their behaviors and we have some crazy girls. We have been taking our girls here for over 8 months now and it's been super great! Amanda has great pricings and the girls are always so excited to go to her. One Belgian is very skittish towards new people and she took to her so well which I feel if a dog likes you you're alright in my book. When we take the girls home they always knock out for hours and our Belgians have so much energy it's weird to see them sleep at all. I don't know if she runs with them or what but they are always calm when they get home which is a plus for us after a trip to relax as well! If you're coming from Fresno or Clovis is a little ways drive but not too bad of a drive to have a good place for your doggos to stay! read more

We are very happy with Amanda's care. Our dog has stayed with Amanda twice. He gets anxious with new situations but we knew he'd be safe and watched while we went on vacation. Our vacation was cut short and Amanda was gracious enough to not charge us for the entire reserved days. My husband gave her a $ tip for not charging the full amount. Amanda told us that our dog didn't want to eat and cried...which we knew he would do because he acts like that with just a visit to the groomer and also when he is left home alone while we are at work for the day. This was my first time having my dog stay here. I worried about her all week, is she ok, happy, stressing out, etc. When I went to pick her up she was totally relaxed and happy. She came over to greet us but then ran over to Amanda and that made me know she was well cared for. Amanda said she made herself at home, was very happy playing with other dogs and fit right in. Update. My husband wants me to give zero stars but I do appreciate the daily care she does give. But when it came to life and death decisions I can't stop wondering if Gideon could have survived had she called the vet. No matter what she says she should have had a vet opinion so we could determine next steps. I'm sorry I put my dogs in her care again. The first time both came home with diarrhea which cleared up in a few days. But it did concern me and I was giving her only one more chance. I mentioned it to Cat when I dropped them off this last time and she said it's common in a kennel situation. But when I think about this now I realize that really isn't true. I've only had that problem one time before. In 13 years with Gideon he only got sick one other time at a kennel. And I never took him back there. I will not trust her again with pets. I trusted her to make that decision if things ever got really bad. She is the one who was there. She is the one who should have consulted with a vet that's why I gave her vet information. I assumed a kennel would do that if the situation looked grave but she didn't. I can't recommend her even though she is so kind. She made a bad call and it may have cost my dog his life. My grieving has not ceased and I am so sorry I left him at her kennel. Esther will never again go to a kennel. This is too hard to bear. My grief is overwhelming. ------------------------------------------ I just spoke with Amanda on the phone. She assured me that she kept Gideon hydrated his tongue and eyes were good and he was urinating on his own. She fed him broth and water with a dropper until he refused more. She described what she did to keep him comfortable and he was hanging on so even she was surprised when he died. She thought he would hang on until I got to him. I am satisfied with her care. She said she didn't call the vet because they would have set him up with IVs and keep him alive artificially and also he was hanging on well enough for me to get to him the next morning. But Jesus came to collect him anyway. I am so relieved she tried to sit with him on her lap and care for him. But he didn't want it. She provided blankets and towels but he wanted to lie his belly on the cool concrete. That's what he's been doing at home too on the tile. She described his behavior accurately like he does at home. I believe her. It's not her fault. He is safe now in heaven and we will all see him again soon. Romans 8:28 Please never again forget the dogs in your care are furry family members. My grief is often unbearable that I was not there to nurse him as he should have been. I trusted you to do that. Amanda I appreciate your response. I wasn't there to see that my Gideon was dying and May have needed professional attention from a vet. You were. I still don't have the answer to both my questions. Why didn't you call a vet if he was that bad? Did you keep him hydrated throughout the day? Why did he die? Had he seen a vet and we were told he was dying I could live with that. You didn't give him the chance to be saved by a vet. That's why I'm devastated. I'm glad you made him comfortable. I believe you. Thank you for that. But you could have tried to save his life. I don't believe it was his time to go yet. He was pretty energetic when I dropped him off. read more

I wish there were more stars to give Amanda and her wonderful pet boarding facility. Amanda is so sweet and genuinely cares about your pets. We have two 5 month old puppies and I was nervous about leaving them for the first time. Amanda answered all of my questions promptly when deciding where to leave our puppies and her prices were incredibly reasonable. We boarded our puppies for a week and when we arrived to drop them off, we were so impressed with how clean it was and how nice the area is that she has set up for dogs. I emailed her a few times to check on our puppies while we were gone. Not only did she reply in a short period of time, but she sent pictures of the puppies and a video of them playing. It made me so happy to see how happy and playful they were during their stay. 4 Paws Country Inn is a special place and perfect for your pets when you need a place for them to stay. We have a couple more trips planned this year and I will need to board our puppies again. I will be calling Amanda soon to reserve a spot for them.
