Extremely Disappointing and Traumatizing Experience…read more We are extremely unhappy with Bumi's grooming experience. We booked an appointment for Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 10:45 a.m. It has been two days since his appointment, and we are still dealing with the aftermath of what should have been a routine haircut. His fur was cut far too close to his skin, and he was nicked in multiple sensitive areas, including near his private area, inner thighs, and ears. His ears were bleeding afterward, and he has become extremely sensitive about anyone touching them. We understand that grooming requires care and precision, especially around delicate areas, but this experience was unacceptable. What concerns us most is how significantly Bumi's behavior changed after this experience. He was visibly distressed, and it took nearly two days for him to begin settling down. He lost interest in playing and wasn't acting like his usual happy, energetic self. He has had haircuts before, and he has NEVER come home this distressed. We have never seen him react this way to grooming before. On top of everything, the haircut itself was poorly executed. The fur around his mouth and body are visibly uneven, with several pieces noticeably longer than the rest. After putting our puppy through such a stressful experience, we would at least expect a clean, even haircut. Our biggest issue is not simply that we dislike the haircut. It is that our puppy came home with injuries and experienced a significant change in behavior afterward. Grooming should be handled with patience, care, and attention to a pet's comfort and safety. Based on our experience, we are extremely disappointed with both the quality of the grooming and the condition in which our puppy came home. I don't remember the groomer's name, but I hope management takes the time to identify the employee who handled Bumi during this appointment and thoroughly investigate what happened. These concerns go far beyond dissatisfaction with a haircut. Our puppy came home with injuries, and his behavior changed significantly afterward. We believe this experience deserves to be taken seriously and addressed appropriately. Bumi deserved so much better, and we would not want another pet owner to go through this with their dog. We will not be returning. Before-and-after photos are included to document the difference in Bumi's appearance following his grooming appointment.

After reading a review of Palm Buff Pet Salon who rated it with one star, I simply had to jump in &…read moredefend this MARVELOUS salon, its assistants, & the owner. I have had the privilege of taking my previous dog & current dog to Marilyn for at least 8 years. It is by far & away the best pet salon in town & I would endorse its reputation because of the care & love they give cats and dogs alike. My toy poodle LOVES to visit the salon & Marilyn obviously is a true pet lover! She listens & is a stupendous groomer with dogs and cats alike! I don't understand the reviewer who gave the establishment a one star rating!! Please read my review & the others before making up your minds! I have recommended Palm Bluffs to a few friends & they are every bit as pleased as I am!

My husband left our home and clovis and arrived at 5:30 pm. He was "reminded" by Julie that they closed at 5. I'm not sure how we were expected to pick him up in 8 minutes during rush hour. My husband felt terrible and tipped 30%. He brought our dog Ani home and honestly? He didn't look groomed at all. We paid 107$. I'm so disappointed and will be seeking a refund. I have family members that bring their dog here, and we will not be returning. edit as of 11/09/2024 I was in contact with the owner, Marilyn, this morning. Over the phone she was great, cooperative, and understanding. She offered for me to come pick up cash from the business. I drove over about an hour later, and Miss Marilyn absolutely did a 180. She chastised me for "not specifying" that I wanted my dogs neck trimmed. She told me she fired her employee and she left in tears (not my issue - but she made it out to be). She let me know that "blasting her business on yelp" affects her family. I think what really affects her family is her gaslighting attitude. If you don't want your business reviewed on yelp, dont have a business page, and don't offer subpar services. I feel terrible for the employee caught in the crossfire but thankful she no longer has to work under such and unkind and unprofessional woman. Be aware, if you do not praise her services you will be attacked publicly.
