BEWARE! POOREST REVIEW EVER! Joe Jenkins of Days Off…read moreWindows and Doors arrived to install two storm doors, LARSON Platinum Secure Glass Fullview 32-in x 81-in White Linen Aluminum, Item #2128262 Model #44904361L from Lowe's. During the first door installation, he took a personal phone call. While he was taking the call, he stood my new high quality Larson storm door swung open on its frame with the open door supporting it. In doing that, he bowed the door so it does not fully close to the frame after installation, leaving a gap for bugs to get in, even when locked. Joe Jenkins stated he needed access to the inside of my house during the installation, so I unlocked my entry doors for him so he could properly complete his installations. While he had access to my foyer area during the installation, he decided to steal from me. Not only did he take a brand new in box Arlo four camera security system valued at over $500, he decided to take a large green plastic storage tote which contained all of our family photos. These photos are irreplacable and priceless, just as anyone else's photos would be. I called Joe and told Joe I didn't care about the security system. I offered to Joe Jenkins $500 cash to return the photos to no avail because all he does is deny, deny, deny when I know for a fact he stole those items. I literally had to move them to get the door open for him. I'm sure all those photos and photo albums ended up in a Dumpster once he realized what he had. He also visibly attempted to steal a Black and Decker battery-operated weed eater from my back porch while access was granted for the second storm door installation. Joe was doing this two storm door installation on behalf of Lowe's as a subcontractor, not as an employee of Lowe's. KNOW WHO IS ON YOUR PROPERTY. He works under the guise of Days Off Windows and Doors out of Washington, Missouri. Do not let this guy alone on your property. He knows what he is doing in lying, cheating, and stealing, and ANY homeowner is completely vulnerable to his shadiness and crookedness. All he said was "I've been stolen from too." Well, Joe, I have never stolen from you. Your work truck and trailer were safe while on my property. I even kept the driveway gate closed while you were here for added safety, yet you stole from me in a cold, heartless, spineless manner in taking full advantage of the situation and of Lowe's customers. By writing this review, if I save one customer from being taken advantage of by Joe Jenkins of Days Off Windows and Doors, who works as a subcontractor for Lowe's (who apparently has trouble getting his own customers), I am thankful for that opportunity to do so. I encourage anyone who has had a bad experience with this guy to write a review in hopes of saving it from happening to anyone else. I can replace the security system, but I will never get my several generations of family photos replaced, and Joe Jenkins does not care one iota. Joe Jenkins is a cold-hearted individual looking to take advantage of his next victim. I will never trust any contractors alone on my property without supervision again. Those family photos can never be replaced.

10-star service! -full roof replacement by Stonebridge in Sept 2024:…read more1. The owner whom I met while walking the block responded to my request for bid immediately and all follow up was quick, thorough, transparent and personal. He responded that very day. They communicated by text, email and phone and I could choose what worked best for me in any given exchange. It is so easy to get business done when a company uses all the tech available to them to reach their clients. I work full time and do not have the time to deal with any Mickey-Mouse operation who doesn't text or use other forms of communication, or takes forever to respond in 2024. 2. They are local, so I trusted them more. I was worried about shady contractors, so I liked that they had a local business address and staff who answer a phone, email paperwork etc. They also worked within what my insurance budget. Everything from the bid to the bill was above board, not shady! 3. The crew were the most hardworking I have ever seen. And, it was so hot that week! ‍They cleaned up after each session and were professional, polite and most of all very kind people. They kept their work contained in my yard and parked properly near my house in the street. They didn't encroach upon the neighbors' property. I received no calls or complaints. They kept all their equipment in order and they were not in our way. They parked their own dumpster to toss the old roof, and someone even came quietly after dark to retrieve it. There was no evidence of their trash, not a speck - impressive! 4. When it came time for me to pay, they offered to pick up the check personally because I was worried about mailing it. What service!!! I am a big fan! I highly recommend this company because they are easy to do business with and their builders are upstanding people. CALL THEM FOR A ROOF!!!

Now that it's been a couple months, I wanted to share my experience working with the company. Throughout the project, I found the sales rep, office staff, and management to be courteous, professional, and generally responsive. When I reported concerns, Stonebridge agreed to fix the issues and worked through many of the problems I identified. Unfortunately, the installation side of the project was much more challenging. The biggest issues in my experience were with workmanship and quality control. Although Stonebridge has quality control people, it often seemed that completed work was not thoroughly inspected before crews left the job site. Instead, many issues were discovered only after I identified them and brought them to Stonebridge. Some examples of the issues I discovered included: - Step flashing had not been installed in one area where the roof meets a wall; wood was exposed. - A bathroom exhaust vent opening was completely covered over with siding. - Exterior light fixture mounting blocks and trim pieces were either installed crooked, not fully seated, or missing altogether. - Loose, bulging, and damaged siding in multiple areas. - Exposed nails through flashing, and bent drip edge. - Multiple areas where the roofing, siding, flashing, fascia, or trim installation required correction or replacement due to poor workmanship. These examples represent only a portion of a multi-page punch list I was asked to create by Stonebridge to document the issues. Another recurring challenge was communication between sales/project management and the onsite crews. I often discussed specific install details or repair issues with sales or office personnel, but many times that information was not communicated to the crews performing the work. Installers would arrive without a clear understanding of previous discussions, requiring the same issues to be explained multiple times. An additional challenge was the language barrier with the non-English speaking onsite crews. By itself, this would not have been a concern if there had been stronger supervision and communication from Stonebridge project management. However, when questions arose about workmanship or repairs, it was very difficult to communicate directly with the installers. My goal with this review is to provide an honest account of my experience so prospective customers know what they may encounter. If you choose Stonebridge, my advice is to stay actively involved throughout your project, inspect the workmanship carefully, ask questions, and don't assume completed work has already been reviewed or inspected. In my experience, Stonebridge was willing to respond after problems were identified, but much of the responsibility for finding those problems fell on me, the homeowner. This ultimately broke down my confidence in the quality of Stonebridge's workmanship.

I hired Town and Country Metals to construct an 80' x 125' x 21' building for my farm and the…read morecontract was signed on May 7th, 2021 (see signed contract in attachments). The total cost for this project was $314,400. We made the first payment on the day we signed the contract (5/7/2021) for $101,358.33 and we made the second payment on 2/14/2022 for $202,716.67. This project began over 2 years ago and there have been several problems along the way. The most pressing issue was the ordering and installation of 4 steel doors that were on the signed contract and were paid for upfront. Two 3068 steel insulation entry doors (see picture 2a in attachments). One 6068 metal double insulation solid door (see picture 2b in attachments). One 6068 metal double insulation door with glass (see picture 2c in attachments). On 3/31/2023, we reached out to Nikki Carter to see if the 4 steel doors were ordered and she said yes ma'am, 3 times. Nikki told us that she would check on Monday for the arrival date (which would have been 4/3/2023). She also said that these doors are considered special as the size is not standard and that the frames have to be welded. I point this out because Town and Country Metals designed this building and accurate measurements were given to them by Chris, the general contractor, not us. We never got an update from Nikki after she checked on the status of our door order on 4/3/2023 so we reached out to her several more times (4/5/2023, 4/10/2023, 4/18/2023) and never got a response. On 4/19/2023 and 4/27/2023, we sent messages to Nikki and a mutual friend of hers and ours to see if he would be able to get an update from her and he was unsuccessful as well. On 6/15/2023, one last message was sent out to both Nikki and our mutual friend saying that we received a bid from another company quoting us at $23,823 to purchase the doors and install them for us. We gave Nikki one last chance to come up with an order invoice for these doors and no response. We ended up having to pay an additional $23,823 to complete the work with another company even though we already paid Town and Country Metals for the same work (please see new company signed contract). This issue has yet to be resolved. The second issue that we encountered was that the trim color listed on the contract was Charcoal Grey but the trim that was sent and installed was Polar White (see picture #1). We inquired about some type of restitution because we now have to paint the trim on the other three buildings on the property so everything matches as originally intended. We would not have to do this if the correct trim color was ordered. This issue has yet to be resolved. The third issue was that 10 windows were ordered per the contract but they didn't order them in a timely fashion so our building sat open and exposed to the elements for months and months. We ended up having to put coverings over the windows ourselves so that the interior of the building didn't get damaged. Also, we ended up only needing 9 windows and we asked to be reimbursed for the additional window that we paid for but that has not happened either. These issues have yet to be resolved. Bottom line, if you are looking for a company to construct a building for you, look elsewhere. From the very beginning this was not a smooth or streamlined process whatsoever. There was an extreme lack of communication throughout, tremendous delays in ordering the materials, and materials that should have been ordered and never were. Town and Country Metals left us with an unfinished building that we had to pay another company an additional $23,823 to complete. The new company ordered the doors for us as promised but we are still currently waiting for those to arrive. I have attached several pictures of the current condition of our building (see 9 unfinished door pictures). It's unfortunate that after giving them $304,075 prior to even receiving the metal for our building that they determined it was acceptable to treat us this way regarding items that were listed clearly on the signed contract.
