The second time was routine maintenance and this week we called because our washer drain was overflowing back into the house. I called at 7 PM to leave a message and that night one of their reps called me back to talk about a schedule and to see if this was an emergency because they didn't want to leave us hanging. I got a call first thing this morning about when they can arrive and what my thoughts were and they were super transparent on the price. Sidenote, in the last six years their price has also not gone up for septic pumping which I think is important with inflation and everything going on. Overall- really great service. With that said, the rest of this review will be largely negative for a variety of reasons that I will describe below. Let's get the positives out of the way. The person who took the initial measurements of the property was personable and professional. In addition, as mentioned above, the actual outcome (a walkway) ended up being pretty nice. Now for the negatives, which make up the majority of my experience with this company. 1) scheduling: when I made the decision to go with them, I asked them when the work would be started. Their response - call us back in 3 weeks or so and we'll see if you're on the calendar yet... What good looks like to me is that they tell me a target, and then get in touch with me regularly as we get closer to the date. In addition, even though they eventually told me the date, they showed up unannounced two weeks early (no joke - they just showed up, assuming it was ok to get started...). To add to that, they didn't finish the first day, and said they'd be back the next day. Well, they didn't show up, so I had to call the office...again... They ended up coming the following day. 2) the job site: there are too many problems to list here, but I'll do my best. First, they dug up a bunch of dirt for the walkway, and they just threw it on the grass surrounding the area. So much that I had to replant grass seed in the area. Second, for a company with "garden" in their name, they sure do seem clueless in terms of how to work a garden. Specifically, they dug up parts of our garden, and, instead of putting it back, they just placed the dug-up plants on top of the dirt (vs. replanting them). In addition, they tossed a bunch of dirt on top of the newly mulched garden area... Third, when digging, they cut an exposed root to a tree in the yard. I guess we'll see in about 7-9 months if the tree survived... Finally, they went in my fenced-in back yard for some reason. Well, instead of closing the gate when they left, they left it wide open, which would be fine if I didn't have kids and several animals who roam the backyard... 3) communication: last but not least, their communication was quite subpar. Aside from the scheduling mishaps, they were unresponsive to email, and messed up my final invoice (added a line item for a $750 project they didn't do...). Overall, this was a poor experience. I would strongly recommend against anyone doing business with this company. Keep looking - you can thank me later.

People are nice and friendly at first. In fact, I waited to post this review hoping that either a…read moretelephone call would be returned or workers would return to complete the job. The floor sanders did damage to the floors they were supposed to fix. They left the house with debris and a mess. Yes. A cleaning crew came back after a week, but they only fixed the obvious mistakes. See pictures. In the garage they were to replace drywall. They did a subpar job on cutting pieces that fit, damaged a piece of furniture, and left plaster and insulation debris on the workbench and did not cover anything down there. Additionally, they removed fixtures for lights and left them unattached and with wires for the fixtures plus the garage door opener hanging in the garage. Very disappointed. USAA Insurance should remove them from the provider list and Southern Ct folks should beware of the polite people who leave shabby and incomplete work, refuse to return telephone calls, and generally cancel out the nice telephone call with the abusive way they handle your home. Don't trust them. It was a waste to leave the house unoccupied for more than a week and allow them access for more than a month to sand floors and replace drywall and installation. They failed and don't seem to care about is.
