    The staff at this place was friendly but this place lacks on their food. For the price they're charging you think they add more flavor to their food. I don't know if I was dinning at a sodium restricted menu. The prime rib was bland the potatoes were bland too. The appetizers compliments of the chef were phenomenal this is what got the 2 stars. There is no ambiance at this place either. This was the sentiment of our large party who dinner here last weekend. I was really hoping it would be good. I guess reviews don't lie.

    I had really high expectations of this place. For what it costs to dine out anywhere any more, the experience better be spectacular. We were very happy with our experience and very surprised that it was excellent. I mean, Jackpot is no culinary destination, by any stretch. Still, the restaurant is quiet, understated and elegant. The service is about as good and refined as you're going to get outside of big city fine dining. Pacing is always a problem in 90% of restaurants, but they coursed everything and it was a very leisurely dining experience. We had the baked brie which was very good, my favorite part of the meal, especially the berry, nut and raisin mix they served with it. Husband had the filet and I had the short rib pasta. The portions were generous, everything was nicely prepared and presented. Our server was very sweet and attentive. It's nice to find fine dining in this region, there is so little of it. Cactus Pete's did a good job here and we will definitely come back again for date night.

    I have eaten at many restaurants throughout the world, this may not be Italy, France, London, NYC, or San Fran... but listen to me when I say the wait staff is nothing less then any of the above!!!! While dinning tonight there was a table of down right rude disrespectful patrons.... I finally had to get up and make my peace with them, the wait staff was calm and cool throughout the entire evening taking their abuse. The food was top notch, the wine list fantastic.. Zoe was nothing short of amazing!!!! Hats of to the Chef meals of that nature I am sure are not easy to develop much less sell in a place such as Jackpot, yet each and every member of this crew knocked it out of the park!!! A+++++++

    We were seated at a table although we did not have a reservation, but there was lots of seating available anyway. While we were looking at the menu, the host / server brought us a side dish and said that was a compliment from the chef. It was served at room temperature and looked like pork belly which tasted average. A female server who was very friendly, pleasant and attentive took our orders. Every meal is ala carte I ordered the smoked Alaska salmon with a side of mashed potato, and my lady ordered the seafood fettuccine. A basket of dinner roll was served before our meals but got removed when our entree arrived, but the empty dish from the chef's side dish remained till the end of our meals. That puzzled us and couldn't really figure out the practice of dinner etiquette in this restaurant. The pasta dish was delicious, nicely prepared in a tasty yet a bit rich sauce with two each jumbo scallops and prawns,which were very fresh and pack with flavors. My salmon came in a delightful smoke scent and the fish filet was prepared to a perfect medium done, with an apple radish covering the salmon, it sat on a bed of couscous. All the components were nicely put together and made a complete dish. Had I been informed of this, I am sure that I would not order the side dish of mash potato. It's a good place to stop over for dinner if you are passing by, however, I would not make this place a regular stop, as it is quite pricey.

    This was a pretty nice place, I got the seafood fettuccine..very sad to say it was more SEA than it was food, I'm talking so salty I felt like throwing up, couldn't finish more than a bite..my boyfriends steak was absolutely delicious though! Since I'm a waitress myself I didn't request to have my dish remade because I know how stressful and frustrating it is to have upset customers over kitchen mistakes. Also the Tiramisu was to die for!! If it weren't for my $34 dish of salt and the overly talkative waiter it would be a five star from me.

    Good food. Filet perfectly cooked. Menu choices are sparse (only one seafood entree). The wedge salad is yummy.

    I took my mom for Mother's Day, and they were busy as to be expected. We have gone in the past and…read moreI have only ever had good experiences until today and I am not sure I want to go back. We were sat, ordered our drinks and then had to wait 20 minutes before receiving them and being able to order our food. We ordered low mein, fried rice, and general tsao's chicken. We waited for nearly an hour or more for our food. When we received the chicken it was the wrong kind. She had given us kung pao, and before I could even say anything she rushed off. We sat there for another 10 minutes waiting for the rest of the food. When she came with it, before she rushed off again I said that I had wanted general tsao chicken. She looked at me and told me that I had in fact ordered kung pao (which is not true because I don't like kung pao). Before I could say anything she stomped off. The noodles and rice both were cold and at that point I wasn't even hungry, I was just upset and wanted to leave. She asked if we wanted boxes for the food we barely even touched. We both said no. And she walked away. I looked at the check and saw that she had left the kung pao on the ticket, but it wasn't what we wanted nor was it remotely eaten. I literally left the plate at the end of the table in hopes that she would notice and take it but she never did. When we walked to the front to pay I brought this to the managers attention and tried explaining what happened. While in the middle of explaining the waitress yelled in front of a lobby full of people that "they ordered the kung pao chicken, I read the order back and they said yes". If that is true I don't have any recollection of it. I was shocked and embarrassed. The manager looked at me and said she needed to speak to someone in the back. So my mom and I stood there awkwardly waiting. She came back and acted extremely annoyed and said she would take it off and said that I should have told her to take it back when it was brought out initially. I told her that I had tried but was met with immediate backlash and she walked away before I could even ask for it to be corrected, nor did she give me the option for it to be corrected. The manager rolled her eyes and collected the money. At this point I wanted to cry. I am not one to ever complain, and it took a lot of courage for me to even say that it was the wrong dish. Overall, today's experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm not sure if I want to go back. Which really sucks, because i used to tell everyone how great this place was.
