Super super friendly family we actually are going to attempt to make reservations for this weekend…read morefor last-minute getaway as a family as a disabled person with type one diabetes. I had a really difficult day that day. We had bad storms and we don't live far from the campground, a couple hours south, but between the storm that not down a tree in our yard, I helped clean up and struggling with my diabetes, and then as I was driving North, a bad lightning storm I wasn't getting any service. I didn't know what to do or where to go. I ended up not spending the night after all, but I can say that communications were wonderful and the facility is beautiful. I did my research before I made a reservation for myself and I was going alone and I haven't been anywhere by myself in 10 years especially since I've become disabled so I ended up having to make other accommodations for the night and didn't get the pleasure of this visit but hopefully there's gonna be something open this weekend and I couldn't have Astro better communication. I can't. I did try to communicate late at night in late into the evening, but they do close their office at five and because of struggles with my diabetes which they have to be dealt with. I can't help that and then the storms here I got a very late start and once I was on my way, and I ran into this lightning storm I had no reception and no visibility. My GPS wasn't working correctly with no reception and this is also in an area that was affected by hurricane Helene and there was flash flooding warnings on the way up to the campground so I did what was the safest best thing for me but I just wanted to say that the prices are wonderful and fair. The facilities is beautiful. The family is kind and very communicative and I will definitely update if we are able to get a spot there this weekend so that our family can go and going with My Husband. I won't have the inability to take care of everything on my Own due to my unique situation so we'll actually make it this time lol I would highly recommend and also I did make it up there the following morning for my getaway and we were all talking about the lightning storm at a couple of places that I went and I was saying what it happened and I didn't make it to my destination where I was gonna stay and everybody that was local was like oh that's the best one out of all of the campgrounds around here if you come back, you need to stay there for sure you missed out and even though you couldn't help it, you know they're an awesome family and they have the nicest place so I did have a good word from local people too, so I'm gonna get a highly recommend for now. I'm sure it will only improve after this weekend. Hopefully there's a spot for us.!

I enjoy writing reviews, especially whenever it is well deserved. This campground's review is well…read moredeserved! The staff is friendly and very helpful. Our homebase closed temporarily and they worked with us to extend our stay until our place reopened. The sites are mostly wooded, with additional open air sites. They have drive thru sites too. The sites are a good size and very well maintained from the site itself to the hookups. They have walking trails, a playground and a pool. You will also have a laundry facility (very clean!!!) and a bath house (those are very clean as well). It also looks like they are expanding - adding more open sites and another bath house/laundry facility. It's so peaceful here! Parents can feel safe letting the kids ride/walk around. There are signs stating that children have the right of way.

Lovely little spot in the woods outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. The ladies that run the…read moreoffice are so kind, (not so much for the grumpy man that makes the occasional appearance). Full hookups so you're not roughing it here, they also have a swimming pool for the warmer months. Pros: roomy spots, so you're not right next to strangers. They definitely keep the area clean, everyone has their own rubbish receptacle, very quiet, well designed, beautiful scenery in the woods and the layout is country cute! Cons: water pressure is a little low, and the laundrette is a little rough, the machines are dirty and overpriced ($1.75 for wash, but $3.50 to dry) with 2 out of order. Would not hesitate to stay again.

This is a cute campground. Brandie treated me with pure kindness but the last day another lady was…read morethere that wouldn't give me her name and claimed she was the owner. She treated me horribly, accused me of playing games with her after I even agreed to pay extra for any inconveniences. The inconvenience for her was me coming into the office and asking if they had any spots open this week due to cancellations and the friend I had purchased the area for was still there after 11am. She made fun of my friend and threatened to call the law on her. It is a shame this "owner" treats people like they are subhuman. I paid well over $115 for only 3 nights stay. All you get is a plug to hook up phone and a water spigot for that much money. It is a lovely campground but with ownership like that and the price, it's not worth it. I don't understand why people have become so cruel that simply being kind is out of their ability. And especially anyone that is in the business of serving the public, they should always choose empathy and kindness because you never know what anyone is going through. This place doesn't even deserve two stars.

The cafe and ice cream were fantastic, and the food overall was a major highlight. However, our arrival and first night were pretty rough. For a $1,000 cabin rental, we expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and preparation. We were shocked to find large roaches on the top bunks and a cabin full of bugs. To make matters worse, despite having a family of four, only one set of sheets was provided, leaving us with nowhere to sleep the first night so our first day here was not a good start since we didn't sleep well, such a bummer. We reported it right away, but had to go back a second time before getting help. There were also a few safety and sanitation issues that raised concerns. The Wibit pads were completely covered in geese poop, and at the waterfront, there were no small life jackets available--leaving a ton of kids wearing oversized jackets with zero staff monitoring the area. My son got a bad cold with ear and sinus infection from the filthy water and swimming in feces. We also received zero info at check-in about the weak Wi-Fi or resort basics. We are making the best of our trip and still plan to enjoy the remaining activities, but management definitely needs to step up cleanliness, safety oversight, and communication. Also the staff came up to me and asked our golf cart number while we were relaxing. That was a bit awkward to me but understand they want to keep tabs on them.
