I love to go to this large wide open park. Great walking track & plenty of places to get out of the sun & relax. Large parking area.

We are in a 40' motorhome towing a vehicle. We stayed here for a few nights. The campground is 99%…read morepermanent residents (aka trailer park) with less than a dozen sites reserved for transients off the main road in the middle of the campground. They're all back-ins, most are under trees. We had an FHU site near the lake. Some of the sites are terraced because everything slopes down to the boat ramp at the lake. But despite being terraced, our site wasn't level. Sites are gravel, roads are mostly paved. The hookups are way in the back but the sites are also long and wide so you have the room to maneuver your rig to reach the pedestal. Sites have a fire ring and a picnic table. Wifi was nonexistent so we used our own. When ypu check in, you're charged $10 for an electronic key card to enter the park. You get it back in cash when you return the card at check out. That means that any guests who want to visit will have to go to the office and pay a fee just to see you. There's no off leash dog park, restrooms smelled moldy and there wasnt a flat surface in the park. The main reason we likely won't come back is because of the buzzing power lines that run right over the middle of the park. They're loud enough to be disturbing and sound as if you have live electricity crackling above you all the time. Well you do but I don't want to constantly hear it. I don't understand how anyone can live under that.

Met some really cool people while visiting a friend who has a permanent site in this campground,…read morebut I have to say, the grounds could really use some maintenance. The roads are treacherous and so busted up in places that they're barely walkable, given the hills. The bath houses are dated and there's like zero water pressure in the showers. The pool seems to be well-maintained, is basic, but very deep on one end. The check in process is painful. They don't use computers and the staff are slow as molasses. I can't think of any reason why I personally would want to return, other than to hang out with the group again. If you don't have a camper then this place is roughing it pretty hard.
