Fantastic! Great BBQ. Live music. Super friendly staff. Absolutely perfect. If you haven't tried this hidden gem in Broad Ripple, I highly recommend going out of your way for it.

Food was good. Got the brisket and street corn. Kid friendly lots of games to play and plenty of options on beer. They have a rotating beer menu which is nice. Service was great for San Diego ( not his real name just where he is from) super cool! Ambience was cool. Will Definitely be back! Flights offered!

This was a very relaxed and fun environment. There are QR codes/numbers at each table so you can just choose your table and oder online and its brought out to you. They also have a small selection of beer, ciders, and wine and also some board games. They do have a small parking lot and outside seating available. I had the half order of chicken nachos and they were so good and filling, can definitely be shareable. The wings were also good and tasted as if they came straight from the grill. The staff were all friendly and I look forward to returning.

We came here after a butler basketball game a few months ago, and I'm so glad we came! We came for the devour menu, which was a great deal. The deviled eggs and the baked beans were our favorite, but the meat we ordered was cooked perfect. The banana pudding was also amazing! I love that they have games you can play and a casual atmosphere. We will be back in the summer to enjoy the patio!

We heard about this place from some friends while we were on vacation and put it on our list for our next dinner out. It was a perfect Saturday night. The weather was awesome and they had some live music out on their patio. The restaurant was pretty empty considering we arrived at 7:45. All orders are taken on line from the table with the exception of alcoholic drinks that you go to the bar to purchase. We ordered the nachos with pulled pork. The pickled onions and veggies are a huge bonus. They really add a lot of flavor. The pulled pork on our nachos was good however it was refrigerator cold. I don't think they warmed it up or put it in the oven before putting all of the vegetables on top. The dish was good, but I think would be much better if the protein was actually hot or at least warm. We also had the chopped brisket sandwich. It was warm but certainly not hot. Lots of good flavors. Be prepared for plenty of fat in that sandwich. It helps to add flavor but probably a fifth of the protein was purely fat. The biscuit is a 10. Make sure you get that as a side. The bartender was super friendly and talked with us about the food and also some of the beers that they have on tap. Overall, even though there were a few misses on the food, we will for sure come back and give it another try.

Carry out ribs and brisket, plated at home.

We did a DoorDash delivery from 317 and the food traveled pretty well. The ribs and brisket were both well smoked and had good flavor. I preferred the potato salad over the baked beans which had an unusual flavor. The beans weren't bad, just a little non-traditional and not my first pick. I also had one of the $2 biscuits with black pepper and honey. It was nice but would have been better fresh out of the oven. It seemed like it was probably baked earlier then reheated with the honey before serving. I know 317 has had some ownership changes since we last ate there. We'll give them another try again in the future.

The food was AMAZING. We ordered way too much and brought some home for leftovers! The service was great. We opted to stay inside instead of sit in the outdoor space just due to the heat. But they offer outdoor seating and indoor seating. This place is kid and doggy friendly which is always a plus! There is limited parking right beside the restaurant but they have street parking too!

Will never eat here again. The food we ordered tasted like package food. Potato salad was watery - Mac and cheese was not creamy at all. They put shredded cheese on top that did not melt- this was probably dur to the fact it was never warm to begin with. Ribs tasted like they were from overnight- the beans tasted like canned pork and beans- okra had no season but wasn't really a big deal. The only decent thing we ate was the chicken wings and banana pudding. Spent too much money for the trash food we got.

Great new BBQ spot in broad ripple. I got the baked beans and pulled pork. The pulled pork was great and the baked beans were amazing. For an upscale BBQ joint the price of what I ordered was really good, too. Everything on the menu except the brisket had a good price. The vibes inside are really good, it's very clean, and the staff is EXTREMELY friendly. Check this place out if you like BBQ.

I am a huge brisket fan and am on my quest to find the best brisket in Indiana. I can say confidently that 317 BBQ is in my top 5. The brisket was tender and the portion was perfect. I also got the Mac and cheese and it was tasty. I think the best deal is the family meals. We plan to do that next time we go! Our server was friendly and very attentive. I can't wait to go back!

This space couldn't be better suited for amazing bbq and great beer. Add on dog friendly and you've got a winner! Our go to for a Friday night get out of the house meal. You order your cold beverages from Centerpoint Brewing and then place your app order for BBQ. These are a few of our favorites-Ribs, MacnCheese, Green Beans, Sausage... Don't forget to grab the Banana Pudding when you leave

Duo platter with two sides (and amazing pickles!)

YES! As good as I had hoped for and then some! Before diving into the actual food, I want to point out how family friendly and welcoming this business is. They offer outdoor seating and quickly bring over clean high chairs to make the process of eating out with kids as seamless as possible. Our server quickly greeted us and lent a hand. Also worth noting, they have their own in-site parking! Talk about a parking jackpot in the heart of Broad Ripple. I made a mental note for next time. I ordered the two meats and two sides combo and dejected the pulled pork, ribs, coleslaw and baked beans. The meats were both so juicy and the ribs were loaded with meat (ya know how sometimes they're...not). The baked beans were my favorite if the two sides. Looking forward to our next visit!

I was very disappointed. Biscuits were hard. Sandwich was somewhat dry, didn't taste fresh. For the price, I expected more

BBQ was excellent, staff was very helpful and nice. The beer situation is a little odd but it works.

Ribs were nice and tender and chopped brisket sandwich was great. I preferred the classic sauce.

Ask the Community - 317 BBQ

What's with new $2 service fee?

Are there any gluten-free options?

I'm not an gluten expert but I understand gluten has to do with a protein in wheat. All the meat should be gluten-free and they have cole slaw. You would have to do more research by looking at their menu.

I didn't know it was pirate themed prior to coming, which was interesting. I don't understand it, but I'm sure there is a reasoning. We placed our order at the front quickly, and had our food out fast. We were able to find a table easily. The place wasn't too loud, and felt clean. We had a 1/2 brisket sandwich with coleslaw and rolls, as well as "The captain", which we both greatly enjoyed. The brisket wasn't anything out of the world, but for the price I'm impressed by how much we get. The slaw was great- a mayo based sauce. The rolls had a nice garlic taste. The fries were crispy, and had plenty of toppings. Overall, for the price of barbecue now a days, I'm impressed and will come back. Two barbecue meals, and two canned alcohol beverages for $45, along with good service and fun atmosphere is hard to find these days.

This review is specifically for the Tavern. I just learned recently that they had opened a tavern…read more It has its own entrance. So you don't have to go through the restaurant if you dont want to. Its dark and moody in all the best ways. I was warmly greeted by the bartenders. I took a seat at the actual bar even though they had plenty of seating. I was super impressed with the cocktail list. All the drinks sounded delicious . I asked the bartender for suggestions. I decided to go for the Key Lime martini. Beautiful presentation and it tasted just like a key lime pie. My friend ordered the spicy margarita. It came in a cool, skull glass. Overall, very impressed with the drinks and the service. Will definitely be coming back to try more of their speciality cocktails.
