Very well seasoned and had nice grilled marks that helped locked in all the flavor. Mash was very one note, simple, but the steak made up for what's lacking. Pork shank was fall of the bone tender, loved it with the cheese grits, hated the bbq sauce that they drenched my cheese grits in =( Overall we had a good meal. Cons: Entrees came with a vegetable, but they didn't give you a choice. Tonight it was green beans, mediocre in taste. That was the only vegetable they had. Everything except the food was wonderful. The service was great. The atmosphere was nice. However the food not so much. We were there on Sunday and were unaware that you couldn't order off the regular menu. Decided to make the best of it and ordered the prime rib, rice and gravy, and veggies. All I can say is the veggies were good but the rice (not much gravy) was cold and the prime rib was really tough and had no flavor. I would not recommend coming to the restaurant. We ordered our food, and they did not have half of the food on the menu in stock. We waited over an hour to get our food, and the food was terrible when it came out. My steak was cold and so was my husband's grits. His pork chop was dry and felt like a brick. During my visit in Jackson, MS, I visited this restaurant for dinner. This restaurant has a very good atmosphere. Services is outstanding. Everyone was so friendly, even the dinners. I ordered the catch of the day, which was Mahi Mahi coated with parmigiana cheese, grits and grilled asparagus. It was delicious. I definitely recommend this place. Very disappointing. Admittedly, we ate a late lunch around 2 PM but the service and food were unsatisfactory. My son and I both ordered BLTs. We were brought sandwiches on very small bread with a scoop of pimento cheese with 2 small pieces of back and a very small tomato slice on the side. We had to fetch our own silverware and napkins. Loved the location and ambiance of this restaurant. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. My son had the burger and loved it. Salad was great. My son ate a little more than one of his 6 wings (10.00) and said they tasted "dry or like they had been frozen". He's 11 and not a picky eater. So I was surprised. I did tell the waitress, I did not ask her to take it off our check.. and sure enough.. she did not. The side salad was also 10.00. I had the Panko crusted Mahi Mahi with the grits and side of spinach. It was okay. The fish was amazing, a little on the salty side but great. The grits were great. The spinich was almost inedible, bitter and left a film on the roof of my mouth. My daughter had the chicken Alfredo and loved it, my son finished off since his one wing and salad didn't fill him up. My 6 yr old had the corn dogs and fries and gobbled up every bite. Overall, I would go back. I should have spoke up more about the wings. I'm not a complainer tho. One of the owners checked on us, super friendly. The restaurant is within walking distance from the College.. but a little pricey for most college students. Great for a date night tho!! We are from out of town and visited Clinton and 303 Jefferson while celebrating my nephew's graduation from MC. We had a large party of 14 which is a challenge for any serving staff... let me say the service was outstanding!! We had drinks and appetizers served immediately, and refills were never lacking. All the food came out quickly, together and hot. Not sure how the kitchen pulled that off, but I was impressed. I can only speak to the ribeye, which was mouth-watering paired with excellent cheese grits. The rest of the party raved about their meals which included pork, burgers and salads. If you are in town visiting, don't make the mistake of eating at a "chain" restaurant. Put 303 Jefferson on your agenda and you won't be sorry. read more

My co-workers and I enjoyed a great atmosphere, extremely friendly service and delicious food when we stumbled upon 303 Jefferson today looking for somewhere for lunch. They have a great menu with burgers, seafood, salad and sandwiches, but also offer daily lunch specials and fresh vegetable sides. I had their fried catfish lunch special with macaroni and cheese, green beans and cole slaw. All was delicious. My co-workers equally enjoyed their food as well. Served perfectly grilled it was the best. My husband generally has a steak and is consistently pleased. The service is always exceptional. And to top it off the bartender is the best around. If your looking for a family friendly or even romantic meal ( later , not at 6:00 ! .... Kinda loud early ! ) this is the place to go in Clinton. Could not believe the service at the bar tonight. Our family met in Clinton for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere was fun. Being housed in an old store made the restaurant theme interesting. The menu was brief but several items jumped off the page at us. We started with the pimento cheese served with hot pork poppers. They were crackling when they arrived at our table. We really enjoyed this appetizer. Next we ordered the burger and fries. It was amazing. We each picked a different bread. I would like to come back and try other interesting items from the menu. The staff was super friendly. The owner came to our table and introduced himself. He was kind and promised that the future visits would be awesome also. read more
