This is a fantastic place to live! The reviews on management does not align, though everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I respect that.
However, I have live in this apartment community, as well as other property managed by Bernstein since relocating to Washington four years ago. Management as well as maintenance as always been responsive and professional. I give it 5 stars because that's what 301 M/Artline Apartments deserve. There has never been a time when a request has been made that has not been resolved within a 24-hour period-as they have the authority to enter whether I am there or not, which means they are trustworthy, NEVER HAD A PROBLEM!
I am deathly afraid of dogs and there are dogs in the building. However, after informing the owners of my fear, there was not one who was not considerate of my fear. That means alot. If you speak to each other, people speak back, conversations are had and the events that are held, are very well-attended. This means community. This review is a real review, a real person and I am so sorry that some had bad experiences. Oh, the son that was mentioned is not Rhonda's son.
Rhonda is extremely professional and engages the residents with their ideas and input for events she plans to have. Some of the events have been: ice cream socials, wine-tasting, and taco night (Rhonda personally prepares the food) for the residents - she goes the extra mile, and the food is ALWAYS delicious! She has hosted Valentine's, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas events. I love the location, a stone's throw from Safeway and about a 10-minute walk to the Wharf, about 15 minutes from Navy Yard - it gets no better.
I have never had issues with roaches or anything of the sort and have truly enjoyed living here, to the point that I have not lived anywhere else since being in Washington. I am 15 minutes from my job, and I love this location.
If you are looking for a nice, comfortable place to live, a place that is convenient for your "daily" needs, offers top-of-the-line entertainment that is in walking distance, participates in the discounts offered just for living in Southwest, has the security you need, i.e. FOB to enter the building, a concierge is 24-hour, FOB in the elevator.
Just come and see for yourself, it's just like anything else, some people see a movie from a different perspective, but this is mine, now see with your own eyes, experience the attentiveness of management and concierge yourself, then decide for yourself. I know you will not be disappointed. Going on my 5th year , , , ,
