Needless to say Mr. DeArcos is very good at pulling wool and flipping emails out that only get seen at short notice. Very quick to grab money, or basically steal it. From spending your money to go on vacations, all the way to offering prizes that never existed, Forrest can make nothing happen faster than most. And not only does he boast about "I never lie", which in itself is a lie...he also loves to play the good guy. All while never even giving you a reach around. The day we were supposed to move, his uncle showed up an repossessed the truck over a $2k debt Forrest never paid! Beware of his other "new" company as well. Long story but I would not recommend them. Stuff got broke. Stuff got left behind. Took all day and still not all done. Spent more time talking and drinking and smoking. Didn't even fill u-haul truck up all the way. Smh. It was ridiculous. Do not use them. I am now at a point I have to move the rest myself because I can not afford more movers. This was the worst experience ever. The very little that had to be pack was thrown in the boxes and they tried to say they had a lot to pack. They did not. And I helped. I hired 3 step movers in the middle of June 2021 to help me move July 2nd. I will be honest and say they started off really well maintaining communication. Called me to inform me my estimate was going to take a little longer than anticipated. Called me to confirm I received said estimate. Answered the phone when I was ready to book and pay my 50% down-payment. They even called me 24hrs before my move to confirm everything. Then the day of my move...no one showed. I called and called to see what the issue was, left messages and no response. The movers were expected to show up at 11am. At 1:30pm, I received a random text message telling me to refer to an email sent to me on Thursday, July 1st, 2:37pm. (Only 3 hrs after I had just spoken to someone on the phone, mind you). In the email, I am advised that due to unforseen circumstances, they are canceling all appts for the next 2 weeks and refunds were being processed as of 7/1/21. It is now 7/16/21 and I have yet to get my money back and once again, I have called and called, left messages and still no response. I am a single mother with limited income and it sucks this company took advantage of me in this manner. So not only am I out the money I already paid 3-Step movers,, I had to purchase a U-haul at the last minute and was forced to move in the dark (Cilco was already scheduled to be shut off 7/2/21 at 5pm). read more

After moving from Texas to Illinois, into a home that had been owned by the same family for 30 years, we anticipated a few things being left behind. But 2 full sized 1970's fridges, a mass of lumber remnants, numerous odd and end furnishings, and a plethora of junk in a couple of sheds, we weren't sure how to get rid of this stuff. Enter 3 Step Movers. Getting those fridges out of the basement was a bit like birthing a baby...it was snug!!! No, not just snug. It was TIGHT! It was nearly impossible maneuvering those heaps of heavy metal up the stairs and through the small doorway. But they got it. Plus all the other crap left behind! They were neat, prompt and tidy!
