They then left a note saying that they won't enter closed doors, and placed the note in front of my father who was reading a book on the couch!! My bedroom door is always closed as I have a kitten that likes to reek havoc in there, but today, they decided not to ask the man sitting right there if they could enter, but left a note in front of him, cleaned half of my apartment, took the $145 and left. Consider this when thinking about choosing a cleaning company. I left a message asking for them to return and do the rest of the job that I PAID for. I will leave a follow up comment with whether they remedy their ridiculously unprofessional, inconsiderate and unethical decision.

It asked me what I would like cleaned and I added 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and dining room, about 1000 sqft. I got a call from Krista the general manager saying she had no availability for the time that was showing up on the website, and rudely asserted that my home was not 1,000 sqft. I calmly replied that I don't want my whole house cleaned, to which she questioned again what I wanted done. I restated and she then argued with me saying that she looked at the blueprints of my house and that it was not 1,000 sqft. I said she was being rude and that I would not be going with them. First of all, never just tell someone about their own home. My home incorrectly states on the assessor website that it is 4700 sqft, after getting it professionally measured it was 3200 sqft. Additionally, I have three floors which are included in that square footage. So when I say I only want one bedroom and two bathrooms along with my small kitchen and dining room cleaned, I was actually being liberal with the square footage, it's much smaller. If you actually asked me instead of being hostile like I was trying to rip you off, I would have explained that. If you wanted to charge me twice the price I would have been fine with that. I don't care about the price I was just trying to fill out the assessment.

After my fulltime job I work a couple nights baking at Historic Grounds Bakery & Coffee Shop in…read moreMetamora, IL. The owner of the bakery has Carol's Cleaning Service come in and do a really thorough cleaning of all our floors. Most of the flooring is original to the building - over 125 years old, and they are solid oak, refinished about 2 years ago. They do a great job on these floors, very thorough. But what impresses me most about the two people that do the cleaning (I believe they are husband and wife, Mary & Roberto), is what a great job they do in our bakery/kitchen/coffee bar area. It's all cream color tile with pale grout. Plus we have 4 large black rubber slip resistant/schock absorbing mats over parts of the tile floor. Theses mats leave ugly black marks all over and the grout gets really bad in short order. Our floors take a lot of abuse. The floors have never looked as good as they have since Carol's staff been cleaning it. They get underneath ALL of our equipment (which is a feat unto itself), take all movable items off the floor, sweep and then wet clean. They do not cut corners in any way I can see. I feel bad when I start to work because I know I will mess them all up again :-). I have seen the results the last few months and last night I worked the night they cleaned and got to meet the Mary & Roberto. They were nice and polite, very quick and efficient. I was impressed. I asked if they do one-time home cleanings and they do. I gave them my number and I was told the manager would call me the next day. She did. 9:00 am I had a VM on my cell from Jenny. I called her back; she was very nice and is coming out in two days to give me a free estimate. The only reason I am giving 4 out of 5 stars is because I have not had them do my home yet. If you have checked other reviews on line for them that aren't great, just keep in mind they are under new management now.
