The next thing were the flavors - so many unusual ones, especially those with a Latin flair like horchata and tres leches. I tried a couple of my "standbys" Dulce de Leche and Rum Raisin. My wife tried VT, named for a local restaurant where it is offered - - brownie, cookie dough, chocolate and caramel. The shop is small and unassuming, but it is comfortable and welcoming. So last night after dinner at a restaurant that does not do desserts very well, we decided to give this place a try. It was exactly what it claims to be, and that is a soft serve ice cream in a crispy cone that is more like a puffy baked like Chiro kind of thing. It's hard to explain. It's also hard to eat lol but that doesn't mean it wasn't delicious. I wish I could say I was super Duper excited about it, like I would go back over and over again. But for me, it felt like a one and done only because it was soft serve number one, and it was hard to eat. I wanted to really get to the cone part with the Nutella inside, and I wanted that part to be warm and the way that everything worked together, it was kind of just... (Disappointing is not the right word, don't get me wrong) It was just exactly what I was expecting and that was maybe the letdown. And again I must say everything was delicious. We tried the monthly soft serve flavor which I think the last day for that was yesterday so sorry about that. But it was like witches brew something and it was basically cake batter flavored soft serve. It was so good! We got the cinnamon and sugar standard crispy cone with Nutella inside like I mentioned. We got crushed up Heath bars as our topping with Nutella drizzle and it was really good. One was enough for two adults to share. If you love each other, lol But all in all, I must say that for me, although they fully deserve this four star review. I probably won't have it again just because I really need my calories to count when it comes to dessert. I will say that they just started serving hot chocolate and it was fantastic! I do not enjoy hot chocolate. Usually. But last night I was all about it :). She said ( she being the owner) that it was imported, Belgian chocolate, dark chocolate, and milk chocolate, and milk. That's it. And that's exactly what it tasted like-- it tasted so rich and creamy and chocolatey nothing artificial at all. I then of course sampled a lot of the flavors. They were actually good. My wife then ordered a regular for us of cookie butter gelato which was excellent with judges ice cream and then another small of lemon sorbet. We got our little one a vanilla gelato cone. Everything was very good and creamy. My daughter no lie ate 3 vanilla cones and kept on yelling for more. Now usually I'm not the parent from Augusta Gloop from Willy Wonka, but my daughter won't eat anything and she's screaming more. So we gave her more as we were happy she would just eat.
