The next thing were the flavors - so many unusual ones, especially those with a Latin flair like horchata and tres leches. I tried a couple of my "standbys" Dulce de Leche and Rum Raisin. My wife tried VT, named for a local restaurant where it is offered - - brownie, cookie dough, chocolate and caramel. The shop is small and unassuming, but it is comfortable and welcoming. She recommended I chose icecream from a different case and she took her scooper and washed it in the back just as an extra precaution since they touch the other scoopers. There's not enough seating so a lot of people get it to go. There was one person working and we were standing in a line with no workers out front. There was a sign that said she was in the restroom so I'm assuming that's where she was even though she never took down the sign. She did seem stressed out. Understandably. I noticed they had pistachio icecream which is one of the things I'm allergic too. I asked her if she could make sure there was no cross contamination. She said they use the same scooper in all the ice cream so if you have allergies be aware of this. She said for allergies they will open up a new icecream tub so she did that for me but seemed irritated she had to do that. I felt bad. I didn't want to inconvenience her.
