    Twisted chicken

The food was ok. Nothing great. The salmon was very bland and needed more glaze. The chicken didn't seem very fresh. It was pretty pricey for the sizes and quality. It was pretty busy on the Abe side so we sat in the dining room so service was a bit slow. The restaurant was clean though.

    French dip

The jalapeño stuffed burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, not spicy at all. French dip was tender and had excellent flavor. Pasta had a decent amount of ingredients, except was lacking on artichokes and was flavorless. Typical Montana restaurant atmosphere, nothing special. Good service.

We have one of the Billings coupon books and decided to use it to determine where to eat tonight. We decided to make the trip to Acton to try 3 North. It was well worth the drive! The restaurant and bar are beautiful and well decorated. Our server and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. We never waited long for refills. We had an appetizer of fried pickle chips to start with, served with the 3 North sauce. I was pleasantly surprised that they were handmade fried pickles! They were the right amount of spicy and the house made 3 North sauce was delicious. I had the 12 oz prime rib. It was so tender and seasoned to perfection. It was cooked perfectly as well. I would rate it as one of the top 5 prime rib I've had at a restaurant!

Very nice place, in the middle of Montana prairies

Very slow service for a night that wasn't busy with over-priced and poor quality food. We had high hopes and were super disappointed.

The bourbon glazed bison short ribs are the best ever had. They melt in your mouth. The wedge is also amazing

Nicely remodeled. With separate dining room and bar area. They take reservations. Prime rib Friday-Saturday-Sunday. Good food.

Good chance that you will enjoy your meal. Although my chicken was raw last time. So, one bad experience in two years.

Very polite service, my husband loves the Chicken Fried Steak! I would like to see them buy Wild Caught Salmon as opposed to Farm Raised!

The interior was a little on the dark side, but the warm, inviting vibe pulled us in. We navigated our way to the main section, finding two wonderfully comfortable plush blue chairs next to the bar. The small details immediately caught my attention--each table adorned with fresh flowers in charming vases, adding a thoughtful and personal touch. Our server was genuinely sweet and attentive, setting the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. I did notice they have an outdoor patio out back, but the atmosphere inside was too good to pass up. We began with the spring pea salad--an absolute standout--featuring creamy ricotta, crisp snap peas, fresh mint, and pistachios. It was fresh, crunchy, and beautifully balanced. We added a slice of toasted ciabatta bread, topping it with the salad to make our own bruschetta-style bites, which turned it into a perfect little dish. Next came the spice-roasted carrots, which were every bit as flavorful as they were beautiful, followed by the pork belly barbecue with a blueberry barbecue sauce. The sweetness of the sauce paired beautifully with the rich pork belly, creating a dish that was both comforting and elevated. For drinks, I had the Jayne Mansfield--a bright, refreshing, and totally unique cocktail--while my mom enjoyed the Lauren Bacall, which she loved. The restaurant's name comes from a fun and memorable story: the owners were discussing their plans to open the restaurant when they spotted a one-legged magpie. It stuck--and now it's part of the charm of the place. One Legged Magpie delivers on every level: warm atmosphere, thoughtful touches, incredible food, and a sense of place you won't soon forget. If you're in Red Lodge, this is a must-visit spot.

Buckeye just happens to have a bar and a slot machine casino. At this time of the morning there were a couple of people at the slot machines, two older men having breakfast and .... Was that a beer?....already? Anyway, the food was just okay. I suppose asking for lunch in the morning throws off the cook who might still be thinking breakfast. The bar-casino a few miles down the road (or is up the road?) was better, I think. The people were nice -- nice in the classic small town way that makes it a why-am-I-not living here-all-the-time, way. I'd stop here again, and probably will since it's on my way to a place I visit frequently. But maybe next time I'll try breakfast during breakfast hours and maybe a drink because maybe those people having beer were on to something. Choices. It's all about choices.
