Service here was absolutely amazing, we felt welcomed as soon as we entered the bar. Our waitress was very attentive, clearly knew what she was doing and was quick with refilling drinks and accommodating to our needs. The drinks were great, cocktails were strong too! The food was absolutely amazing--one of my favorite places in MT to date. I am originally from Wisconsin, and pride myself on all things cheese--the cheese curds here were to die for. The jalapeño stuffed burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, not spicy at all. French dip was tender and had excellent flavor. We have one of the Billings coupon books and decided to use it to determine where to eat tonight. We decided to make the trip to Acton to try 3 North. It was well worth the drive! The restaurant and bar are beautiful and well decorated. Our server and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. We never waited long for refills. We had an appetizer of fried pickle chips to start with, served with the 3 North sauce. I was pleasantly surprised that they were handmade fried pickles! They were the right amount of spicy and the house made 3 North sauce was delicious. I had the 12 oz prime rib. It was so tender and seasoned to perfection. It was cooked perfectly as well. Just finished a delightful dinner at 3 bar North and grill. Contrary to other reviews I found the food to be delicious. between the four of us we enjoyed a beautiful prime rib and the Mahi Mahi special with a lemon caper sauce was fabulous. They had several choices of sides but we decided on the twice baked potato which was great. The waiter suggested a brownie dessert that was the best! If you want to take a short drive out of Billings and enjoy a nice meal it is well worth the trip. read more

We took a large group on Thursday evening, we were all in Montana for the week for work. This was by far the best food and dining experience the entire week. We had even traveled hours away with lots of food options while we were there. The staff were amazing as we are a hard group to deal with usually. They gave us an entire room ( which we needed) there was not one person without a smile and the food was amazing! We go to billings once a week and for the past year this is the best place we have found to eat in the area, not one person had a bad thing to say about the food or the staff. It's a 25 minute drive but that's nothing to get great food and awesome service!!! Highly recommend and will be back for sure!!! read more

Brought in a group of 13 people, 1st we were told was to shut the door because it was cold as people were walking in and we apparently were a little late so the rude hostess Had to point out that we were having to hurry for our food which after we ordered our food 30 minutes later it took another 35 to 40 minutes to come out to us. I will never return for the simple fact that food was disgusting the reservations were made and apparently she thought it was 3 it was really 330 and there was no reason for the uncommon rudeness than abounded from the staff. The steak sandwich comes on a soggy piece of toast and the beef tasted like liver not like a steak should have There was no notification of a gratuity for our size party however if it hadn't been on there they would have gotten $95 rather than $39 that they charged us. Finally decided to make it out to 3 North after passing it several times on trips out of town and we were definitely NOT disappointed! I had the Jalapeno Popper burger which seriously might be one of the best burgers I've ever had. My friend had the beef dip sandwich and also loved hers. Went to this restaurant for my boyfriends birthday for dinner. It started out great. The waitress gave excellent service. Appetizers were delicious. However when all 3 of our dinner were sat in front of us only one of our meals was satisfactory. I got the Mediterranean penne. For and extra 5 dollars I added shrimp. The shrimp was over cooked and only 3 pieces. My boyfriends Ribeye, asked for medium rare, was rare and EXTREMELY under seasoned. We informed our very pleasant waitress and she went and got the owner. The owner came and spoke with us and was extremely, the only word that comes to mind is snobby. Tried telling me that the shrimp, because it's barbecued, is going to be tough like it was, that they ate the 3rd and last piece on my plate. Said they only salt and pepper the steaks because they do not want to over do it. I understand not wanting to over season a steak but it was basically not seasoned at all. Then she had the audacity to ask us if any of us have any restaurant expierence. I have never worked in a restaurant but I took a college level culinary class my senior year of high school. I've won competitions with my cooking. And I even had the opportunity to work with the top chefs of billings at the food benefit. The owner was very rude and unprofessional.
