I was pretty sure it was an issue with the motor, but I wasn't sure I could find someone who had experience fixing this type of issue on my brand of shade (Somfy). I contacted Oscar, and I immediately felt reassured that he knew what he was doing and had the right experience. He sent out a couple a great techs (Pat and Jay) that did an amazing job diagnosing and fixing the problem. They had to take the whole shade down, take out the old motors, install the new motors, reinstall the shade, and reprogram the remote. It was getting late, and I had to leave for a family dinner, but they stayed as the sun was setting to get the job done. They sent me the attached video to let me know that everything was completed successfully. WOW!!! Awesome service.

Today, the day of service there was a no-show by the Technician. I called (txt) the company at 10:30am to inquire whether the individual was going to show up, and they mentioned that the technician would not be showing up due to car issues. I understand that issues arise, such as car issues, that might impede someone from making their appointment, but as a Company and professional they should have sent me a notification advising this. It took me reaching out to the Company to get an answer. I took time off work, to meet with this individual, hours from work and income loss that I won't get back. In my opinion, this was very unprofessional. The Company propose to re-schedule the appointment, but I declined as this would mean I would need to take more time of work, on another date, to meet for an appointment that they didn't make the first go around. My trust is broken at this point and I will pass on any future services.

We hired a general contractor and agreed to use all of their selected subcontractors except for a small subset we insisted on selecting ourselves, including High Tech Screens & Shades. We thankfully discovered High Tech Screens via online searches, and validated them through our Windows & Doors subcontractor/reseller. (we installed the highest end Marvin Ultimates and Marvin Moderns throughout our project) High Tech (Josh and Justin) arrived as scheduled, and always on time. They assessed and installed custom screens on four of our doors, including two outswinging french doors (2 screens on each), and two single outswinging doors. High Tech's attention to detail and quality work is notable. The finishes match our door trim as desired. The function of the screens are excellent, and the screens "hide-away" from view when not in use / retracted. Further, High Tech's screens and craftsmanship are so good that we unfortunately had a worker inadvertently walk through one of them after installation (the installation was so clean he didn't see the screen). Josh and Justin found time to return to the site within 48 hours and repair the screen so that it works like new. We cannot recommend highly enough High Tech Screens & Shades. If you are looking for a professional job/installation for screens for a high-end home, they are the truly the only firm you need to consider.

When I called Screenmobile I thought I was dealing with a family operated business that stood by…read moretheir products. I was wrong. I originally wanted a quote for a rescreen of my sliding screen door with pet screen. Little did I know that they would take it upon themselves to rebuild your average sized screen door and charge me $375 claiming that their product was superior to the one that I had and that if that's not what I wanted I would have to pay to have the original door rescreened and a stocking fee for their miscommunication. I basically had to keep their screen door with the promise that they stood by their product. I called them a few months later about their locking mechanism on the door failing and they never got back to me. Fast forward to a few years later. Because their doors are plain and invisible to a dog that can't tell if the door is open or closed my dog bolted out the door. Knocked the door of the track, their failed lock didn't do anything to resist the pressure. I was originally told that their doors were strong enough to resist burglar attempts so I could feel safe sleeping at night with the sliding glass door open. I recently have attempted to contact them about what happened and originally they were going to try and help me remedy the problem but it's been to no avail. Please do not trust these screen hustlers. They come in and do a bait and switch whilst justifying their price gouging for a basic underwhelming screen door with a promise of durability and also standing by their product. They are a sham. You're better off going to the Depot or better yet True Value in cotati for your window and screen door needs.
