    Service report for incomplete installation

    Needed two faux wood blinds installed of my home, original cost was over $1,200! The "deal" I ended up with was $686.74 which is still way expensive. Sales guy Howie said I'm paying for professional measurements and installation.... Yeah right. Installer came to my home on FOUR separate occasions to attempt to install incorrectly measured/made blinds for my two windows. Thankfully on the THIRD visit they got one of my two blinds correct. I had to argue with customer service over getting a full refund After the FORTH visit of the installer not getting my second blind installed. I requested 3 Day Blinds install the second blind for free as I've lost well over my income taking time off to be home to meet installer. 3 Day Blind isn't responding to my emails and I'm extremely disappointed in the service. ID NEVER RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY EVER

    The Blind that does NOT work or come down

    Do not order from 3-day blinds. Last Nov 2023 They installed a rolling down blinds in my Sliding doors. It stopped working on 7/5/24. It is fully charged and the control pad has new lithium battery. I called their 800 no. And left my number. It's been 1.5 hours and no one has called me back! They only answer the phone when it is a new customer! By FAR THE WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH EVER! I give them ZERO STARS IF I COULD! The blinds came with NO INSTRUCTION MANUAL. No manual on how to pair it with the remote. All the guy said is keep it on Channel 1. The installer is a 3rd Party company. They do not explain to you that If you change that small lithium battery in the remote control, you need to reprogram the whole thing again. Since no instruction manual you have call them and after waiting for a call back for 1.5 hours, they send you by email a Video tutorial to figure it out by yourself. Then said if you still want a service it will cost you and you have to send them an email. The video sucks. I tried it several times it didn't work. Worst that little programming button (PB) broke off. Now am asking for a Replacement of the whole set up! They said if I need a service, a 3rd party company will call me to make a schedule. This is the worst product I have ever ordered and the worst nightmare I've had in years. Other big companies you can chat with a guy who will help you trouble shoot! 3-Day Blinds is a nightmare! You're better off buying those blinds from Home Depot or Lowe's. At least they Come with an instruction manual. And this 3 day Blind is expensive about $2K but NOT WORTH IT! I plan to take them to court if they don't replace refund or fix this!

    3 inch gap between the 2 rod sections

    We recently contracted with 3dayblinds to create and install a custom 14 ft, curved traverse rod for our bay window. The installer came out and took careful measurements of the window, along with the curve on each side, and created a template to send to a 3rd party fabricator. Once the custom rod arrived, it was obvious to both me and the installer that the rod was too short, but he installed it anyway. We now have the following problems: 1) the two screws on the left side wall mount were not screwed into the wall and are in danger of coming out of the wall completely. 2) The rod came in 2 sections that slide together to form a single rod, but since the rod was too short, the installer mounted it with a 3 inch gap between the two sections. 3) Since the rod is too short, the drawstring on the right side was mounted at an angle, and is now rubbing against the window sill. All this for $1550! As of this morning, the sliders on each side have jumped the gap in the middle of the track and we can no longer open the curtains. All in all, terrible service and I cannot recommend 3dayblinds at all.

    Is there a store somewhere where we can go?? Very frustrating, this trend of places that offer services but don't have an address, even on their website.

    Hi Diane, 3dayblinds is entirely a shop in the home company. We now bring the show room to you. The designer shows samples, measures the windows and gives a free in home quote.

    Has anyone bought motorized blinds? Would you recommend them? Have you had any problems with the blinds or the remote?

We spoke with Athena (who is great & knowledgeable to work with) and she answered so many of our questions & went over lots of options with us. When we visited again with more narrowed ideas, Athena was again very helpful. We easily scheduled a time for her to come to our home for an estimate. The appointment took around an hour. She gave us honest opinions & suggestions to help us make appropriate decisions while being mindful of a budget. She was thoughtful about different factors we wouldn't have thought of on our own. She also offered tips. We were so pleased, we put in our order. Wait time until installation was 6 weeks. We ended up having shutters, roller shades, & sheer shades installed on 11 of our windows. We hit some snaffus that required 2 installation appointments. The first was about 2 hours long & included taking our old blinds away. They also went over how each worked & gave tips. There wasn't too much for us to clean up afterwards. Unfortunately, 2 windows had incorrectly sized shutters made & 1 set of shutters didn't pass the installer's quality test. Installers explained the situation & left temporary paper shades up. It was a bit disappointing. After an additional 4 weeks, we had the second installation that took around 30 minutes. All the installers were pleasant, respectful, & helpful to work with. The end result is so lovely & functional! We love them!! Note: They only offer Hunter Douglas products.

I gave them a call and immediately, I heard from Chuck, who visited my home several days thereafter. Full on enthusiasm, he meticulously presented the various available shutter options, while thoroughly and pragmatically answering each of my questions. At the end of the consultation hour, I had my shutter choice selected for the first floor of my home. After the initial visit, I continued to inundate Chuck with questions. Chuck answered my questions promptly and with detail, while even making a second visit to my home, to further assist with my additional questions. Then came the installation, which was just as seamless and expeditious of a process. Kevin was both a professional and a master of his craft. The entire installation for nine (9) large windows was completed without a fuss, while the rough-in was superb. Kevin effortlessly displayed a combination of craftsmanship and artistry in his installation, which is a rare set of skills few possess. The end product was perfectly flush-installed shutters, which are parallel and orthogonal to their respective wall and ceiling edges, as allowable. The job was not complete and he said he would come back to finish caulking, painting, etc. on a better day. We decided to wait a few weeks until the weather changed, which it did. I have been calling , texting, emailing him for well over a week almost daily with no response. I have called all the phone numbers he gave me and left messages. I have health problems and we have decided to move where our daughter and son in law are to be close to them as I am 82 and my wife is 81 and need to get this work finished. I am now being forced to find someone else because he has ignored me for unknown reasons. I even gave him a nice tip with the check. He seemed like a nice guy, but obviously not dependable.
