Christopher J., our salesperson, did a wonderful job walking us through the window options and showing us samples. His knowledge and professionalism gave us confidence in moving forward with the project. AJ C. and Rafael P. handled scheduling and measurements, and they made the process smooth and easy. Renewal by Andersen was also very accommodating when we requested that installation be completed in one day to meet our needs. On June 16, 2023, a team of six installers arrived. Mike, Max, and Velgin installed the front windows, which were larger and more complex. Their skill and precision were impressive, especially given the size and weight of the units. They also installed the patio wood and bathroom windows. Jose, David, and Steven handled the west-side windows. Jose R., the Project Manager, completed a bedroom window that required stucco cutting to meet current fire codes. His workmanship was first-rate, and the finished result looks beautiful. During installation, a cracked bedroom window and patio lock were identified. Burtiny Carter promptly arranged for replacements after we sent photos, and both were replaced on October 18, 2023. We also appreciated Christynn in Permits for her assistance. The windows have exceeded our expectations in quality and appearance. Beware! Beware! BEWARE!!! The Sacramento location is awful. They ordered wrong items, broke other items during install, left work unfinished for months while they waited for replacements, causing weather damage. Nearly all the windows looked good originally, except the screwed up the kitchen window install so bad it had to be replaced and it still barely slides. However, they haven't lasted. Their warranty is a complete joke. I've been trying for almost 10 months to get them to repair the windows that are literally coming apart in less than 2 years. They don't respond. read more

We had Renewal by Anderson of Greater Sacramento install a new entry door at our home. The outcome was fantastic! The door is very nice and of high quality, as we would expect from Renewal by Anderson. The team of installers did flawless job. It was apparent that they new what they were doing and were meticulous with the details. They were neat, didn't leave any mess at all, and were careful not to damage anything near the door. They even put plastic sheeting up to keep the dust and wind from coming in while the door opening was open. I would have rated our experience five stars if not for some factory delays with the door. Outstanding! Perfection! I could go on and on. I knew the Anderson product was top rate. I had seen the Renewal By Anderson TV commercials. I was hoping all we had to do was swap out the window insert but as it turned out, we had to do all new casings, which meant cutting the stucco. I'm not gonna lie. I was really freaked out about the dust, the mess and how long I our family room would be draped with plastic coverings. I was shocked they were able to replace two French doors and 11 windows all in one day, including re-stuccoing the outside. Our installer, Alvaro and his crew protected the carpet and our furniture and worked quickly without compromising quality. Do not use Renewal by Anderson in Sacramento CA for the following reasons listed below per our Contract Agreement to replace two sliding doors and eleven windows. Renewal by Anderson was very unprofessional and their customer service was extremely poor because their company used untrained employees to fix arising problems. Renewal by Anderson quoted me three months to install all windows and two sliding glass doors. The actual time for the installation took 5 1/2 months. Total project time due to the window installation errors and sliding glass doors took eight months to complete. Renewal by Anderson didn't correctly measure our window that was arched. They asked me if I would be willing to accept a much smaller window that didn't match with the original window measurements. It took four separate trips to fix a multitude of problems with our sliding glass door. A gasket was missing which allowed water inside our house. The lock stopped working properly in the first month. Their serviceman came to fix the lock. Within 24 hours we had a slider that would not unlock or lock properly. The sliding glass door was not closing properly. Top of the door closed and the bottom of the door had about inch gap which allowed the sunlight through the bottom of the door. They also ordered a sliding glass door incorrectly where the door slid in the wrong direction. Renewal by Anderson pressured us to accept the door as is. Renewal by Anderson threatened me with additional charges if I wanted to cancel the contract. Their company was in breach of contract. I had to oversee this project at all times due to various errors. I found out two days prior to installation of just the two sliding glass doors that one of the doors was sliding in the wrong direction. One of their employees was trying every tactic to have us agree to their mistake. I had to explain that the cost of the slider was over $12,000.00 and I ordered it correctly. I had an appointment today at 2:30. I received texts confirming my appointment. The representative never showed up. I called the company and waited on hold for 8 minutes. The lady who answered placed me on hold to call the rep assigned to my appt. He didn't answer her call. She told me that's all she could do so I asked her to call the manager. Again, I was placed on hold. She came back and said the manager didn't answer the call either. I said this is pretty unfortunate, and I asked her to cancel my appointment and have the manager call me back. She said, "I'll try, but I don't know if that will happen." Their installation contractors are stellar. Very professional and friendly. They made a point of explaining the windows and doors, because they are fancy! However, I have a problem with their sales end of the business. Eight windows and two doors cost $50,000.00. And the sale was pitched to an 80 year old woman, who was talked into signing a rigid contract for big savings as long as she signed it right then. I know their windows & doors are pretty. No family members or friends were there to talk her down. The sales person was there until after 9pm and gave her wine when she left. She is not supposed to drink wine. The contract was on her phone, the printer was broken, making it impossible to read! An 80 year old woman has a greater need than fancy windows. Like a generator and a fence that's falling down, her healthcare cost, in home care, fixing her foundation, utilities and rising property taxes. She acted like her best friend! I was called about the printer after she E signed the contractor, but she never hung up, so I listened. When a customer is forced to liquidate investments and withdraw her husband's life insurance money, it feels like financial exploitation of an elder. Three days later, she tells me it cost $50K. These sales people are a financial liability. If the legal process wasn't so traumatic putting her pride at stake, I'd sue them. Be aware and protect your older family and friends. People will prey on them and they're vulnerable to sales pitches. Money is more important than integrity and their future well being. read more

had new Anderson doors installed a few months ago-great product but poor installation and communication. 2 of the 3 spoke no English. When ordered asked for them to be keyed the same-did not happen. One of the locks was installed upside down. After 6 months and 3 times out they never got it right. Theylied and said they make their own hardware. I finally called a locksmith and had it fixed for $300. Next I called Anderson and Told them how annoyed I was and I could never recomend them to anyone. Canceled my contract after they did not hear from me fast enough for HOA approval. I have worked with renewal by Anderson before in St. Louis Missouri with the best Customer Service I could've imagined. That is specifically the reason I decided to go with them in Sacramento . Not sure what's going on here. I only learned that they canceled the contract when I emailed them to ask some questions that the HOA had for the architectural review process. They insisted that they had emailed me two weeks prior telling me that if they didn't hear by me by 8/30 that they would cancel the contract. Searched up and down My email with no such sign of it. Also, after they canceled and requested a refund, you think they would have sent me an email about my refund. No email about that either. I called renewal by andersen to have an estimate to replace my front door. Appointment was confirmed upon completion of phone call. The night before I was contacted by renewal by anderson. I was informed they over booked and they need to reschedule. My appointment was made a week out. If they can't make the agreed upon appointment then I wouldn't have them work on my home. Furthermore, I've read other responses of this same issue. Update; They did show up upon my comment, "if they don't show up they will lose me as a customer". Apparently,!they have problems with their phone answering service and they're actually looking into getting rid of them and doing it themselves. My door was not standard. Hard to review. Installed a sliding glass door from dining room to patio. Door and stucco work was fine. After completion there was a 9" gap between the bottom door sill and the transition to the tiled dining room floor. They glued a piece of wood molding in the gap....should have been tiled. At no time did they alert us to the fact that this might be an issue. Even though we have the tile, they refuse to fix this. After $12,000 and hours of "ring around the rosy" phone conversations we are left with a makeshift completion. The "great customer service" they brag about is a myth. read more

Before we had Renewal by Anderson windows put in, the inside would be over 80 and the AC would have come on a long time ago. We had an amazing experience with Renewal by Andersen, who just replaced 7 of our old East Sac single pane casement windows with BEAUTIFUL, high quality Fibrex (composite) dual pane custom windows. We chose black exterior, and white interior (which isn't an option with vinyl windows) for our 3 large picture windows, two awning windows, and 2 double hung privacy windows for our bathrooms. With windows, you get what you pay for! Other raters on Yelp may have given this company a low rating due to the high cost, but trust the reviews of folks that actually have these windows in their home. Andersen windows are the highest rated windows on Consumer Reports, and for good reason: there's a night and day difference in how quiet our home is now, and our heater barely has to run to keep the temperature consistent during the freezing nights. (Our old windows would allow drafty air in, condensation buildup, and in summer time our AC couldn't keep up with keeping that side of the house cool). The glass is crystal clear, and the reeded privacy glass is both beautiful and effective. We worked with Tyler Hilton as our service rep from initial meeting, through purchase and install. He was AMAZING! He is knowledgeable, communicative, personable, and is a no-pressure sales person. The windows speak for themselves, but Tyler made the entire process seamless. If you can request him, you won't be disappointed. The gentleman (Daryl?) who came to take measurements was spot-on, and our windows turned out perfectly upon install. The installation crew was professional, punctual, and did an impeccable job under the guidance of Omar (the main installer). Everyone through the whole process wore masks, and as a public servant I appreciate their keeping my family safe and healthy. I will say window quality is outstanding. Installer was confused as to why half the windows were inserts and the other half full replacements. Install included painting but was booked a month after installation only to be canceled because it was too cold to paint. Salesman never returned our call. When inspection occurred he noted egress at 42" wasn't required and noted other issues with Renewal out of Sacramento. Very disappointed and can't recommend. Average price per window was about $4k each. Be cautious of all salesman tells you. read more

Let me tell you this. From beginning to end this company was 100% awesome! We have a small 680 sq ft bungalow home and the cheap vinyl windows that had been installed 15 years ago slowly started to malfunction several years ago. After making an appt with the renewal salesman we were sold on these windows. What we really appreciated was the fact that this young man DID NOT pressure us in any way. He presented the product, showed us samples and thoroughly explained installation procedures. These windows by far not cheap but worth every dollar we spent! The day the 5 windows went in Ivan and Yuri were here at 9:30 am. By 10:30 all the old windows were out! These guys worked together like a well oiled machine! At 2:30 pm the beautiful new double hung windows were in and the area in and outside clean as a whistle. I highly recommend this program and they offer some nice discounts too!
