So we heard of this company through a friend who used them. We scheduled an appt with the sales woman. She came and was very very nice. She knew what she was talking about and had a bunch of samples. We felt very comfortable with her. We ordered a bunch and the following week they were installed. Great service. We ordered a shade for the kitchen that was going to take 4-5 weeks to make. No big deal. Our sales woman told us "it would be the easiest thing you can do" to install it. Ummmmm Ya ok lol. We received the shade without one piece of installation instructions lol. We got 1 bag of screws. I called and they told me they would over night me the correct mounting brackets and to look on their site for the installation instructions. I did look, good luck to anyone who can understand the instructions. I got the brackets the next day and surprise THEY WERE WRONG. Call back again. They said they would overnight me the correct ones AGAIN. That was Friday. It is now Monday and we didn't receive any brackets only a phone call and email from a case specialist who tells us you don't need brackets to drill the screws thru the headrail into the window frame. I called to find out if this is true because I don't wanna drill thru a $1000 shade but no one can help me. No one knows anything and you will be on hold for an hour. Nelson ( a supervisor) finally came on the line and scheduled a free installation so I'm hoping this all ends soon with a beautiful soft roman shade hung up in the kitchen. If you do use these guys get the installation included and hope you don't have to call in their customer service line! read more

LEIGH KARPOWICZ was a fantastic rep. Knowledgeable, very friendly, and helpful with our choices. She gets 5***** Product quality seems pretty good, better than the box stores at least. Prices were a little higher than we expected, seemed a bit crazy for the amount of windows we got. Would have been 5 stars with a better price. Installer was a nice kid. Very easy to install, couple screws and brackets. He cleaned up, and was in and out in about an hour and half. Shades work well. Hopefully they last for the money we spent! read more

Stay away from this company . The consultant came in , measured all windows , took credit card information and left without leaving invoice/agreement. Later on we found out our credit card was charged full amount without authorization and consent . We escalated our issue with HQ and cancelled the order . Company illegally charged us without authorization full price order even though policy is to charge 51% upfront and 100% after work order is completed . Never again I will go through this illegal steps again , their fraud illegal actions left me with "stay away "attitude and would never reference this company to anyone . Ty for reading. read more

We bought a new home in Lexington with no window coverings. After shopping around, 3 Day Blinds was very competitive for custom coverings and were quick to respond. Leigh Karpowicz was our consultant and I could not have been happier. She provided professional, creative advice and explained all the different options in blinds, rollers and fabrics. Not only did Leigh make the process enjoyable, she was thoughtful in her recommendations and advised against options that would have included unnecessary features and costs. We are completely happy with all the choices of fabrics, blinds, rollers and shutters. Installation was quick and professional. Delivery was on time and both installers were great. We had one malfunction on a roller and called customer service. They came out on time and were pleasant despite the fact it turned out to be our fault. The california shutters are stunning and installation was efficient. We are delighted with them. Having now lived with our blinds (manual and motorized) for the last four months, I would not hesitate in recommending Leigh and 3 Day Blinds for great products, beautiful fabrics and an overall quality service. read more

My design professional was great, both knowledgeable and professional in person but turns out she was not listening to my top priorities. The installer was fantastic. The problem came after installation and a week after my call to customer care, I still have not spoken to anyone. I was told by customer care a week ago my designer would call me. She did not. I then messaged through Facebook who told me to call Customer Care (which I had already done) I did finally get a call 5 days later, not from my designer but from customer care- he left a voicemail which within 5 minutes I returned by phone as well as email but never again heard back. My priority I described to the designer was a solution for the extreme heat issue i was dealing with in my master bedroom/which is also my home office. I spent $1700 on solar shades for one room that have made zero difference in the heat. To add insult to injury- nobody from customer care seems to have any interest in speaking with me about the issue- have they done so, i would not be yelping on YELP. read more

After a shocking price tag at a designer place in Winchester and a horrible experience at Home Depot, I gave 3 days blinds a call. I had just bought my first house and the blinds that were on the windows had the 3 day blinds labels on them, indicating the previous owners had used them as well. From start to finish I had a great experience. My consultant was Sara Morin and she did a wonderful job understanding my vision, I felt a connection instantly. After the consult there were several follow ups from the installation company. The installers came exactly as scheduled and did a great job. We are very happy with our purchase, which I view as an investment just like tile work or new cabinets and counter tops. Our kitchen looks so different now, its amazing how a window treatment can transform a space! Even one change helps to make a space feel like its your home, your design... yours. :) read more

Beware!!! Saw the add on TV stating FREE installation. Requested a visit on line and was given a date within two days. Person showed up on time, was pleasant enough, all business no chit chat - that's OK I guess. She did the measurements and quoted us a price for one window mini blinds. We went ahead with purchase, gave her a check for full amount, and received a document with price and hand written in was "Free Installation" Received a call the next day from same person telling us because we did not spend enough money we could not get the free installation and it would be an additional $65.00 and she wanted to check with us if that was OK. NO!!! Its not ok - cancel the order. However our check was deposited and cashed prior to this taking place. Is this a common practice? Do people just say 'Aw, ok, I'll pay the extra" Its a gimmick!! Check should have never been cashed until deal was done!!!!!!! Also, we did not see anywhere that you had to spend a certain amount of monies in order to qualify for the free installation. The sales rep was great. She helped pick out the best product for my home. The install company was horrible! They blew off my appointment and lied about the fact they came to my home and I wasn't there. When they finally showed up for the next appointment, which was weeks later, there was an issue with a blind and valence. After 2 weeks, finally got the corrected blind but now have to wait 2 weeks for them to come back!!! I do not recommend them. They have not gone put of their way to make my issues go away. I have tried contacting customer service at 3 Day Blinds about the problem I've had with my $8,000 purchase of blinds, but I have not heard back from anybody. On June 1st I ordered 11 roller shades, 6 of which were motorized, and 3 plantation blinds. I was told the shades would come in and be installed within the week. The shades were not installed until June 22nd. The motors for my blinds have not been working since the day they were installed, and they are still not working. the day they were installed, and they are still not working. The company sent an installer out to fix the motors on June 29th, but as soon as he left, they were not working again. experience. The sales representative originally came out on June 1st and I was told the shades would be installed in less than one week. They did not get installed until three weeks later, and since the day they were installed, the motors on all windows were defective. I had a service rep come out and try to fix the motors on June 29th, and they worked for the short period of time he was there, but shortly thereafter they stopped working again. I have called the company and left messages, as well as emailing customer service, and I also completed a survey that was sent to me, expressing my dissatisfaction. I have yet to hear back from anybody. GreenSky is now trying to collect payment. read more

Sara our sales rep was very efficient in coming to measure. she informed us the fabric we had chosen was backordered by 3 days its been downhill from there. after 10 weeks we cancelled our order. A few days after we were told they were at installers we received a phone call informing us our shades were backordered until August 20th (order went in beginning of June). We were told that we would be refunded our deposit, it has yet to show up. We keep getting harassing phone calls from their installer saying they have part of our order and they need to install. Save yourself the frustration and stay away from this dishonest, poorly run company!!! I had the dream team from Three Day Blinds - Laurie Miller and Leigh Karpowicz. I've lived with old venetian blinds and dingy lace dining room valances for 14 years (they came with the house) because I am clueless about window treatment design. Finally, we hesitantly stepped into that world, and received the best advice and guidance. Rich looking Roman shades for the dining room, sumptuously textured Roman shades for the living room, and honeycomb blinds for the bedroom and sunroom, all of which have transformed our house. One star is being generous. I just had room darkening shades installed and i am very disappointed - they look terrible - i am really dissatisfied - i think they will block the light well but they've changed the whole look of my bedroom. They are dull and ugly. I can't believe that a designer actually recommended these. I guess I'll have to get used to then but it won't be easy. The company seemed to have good reputation so I'm surprised. Since they are made to order, there doesn't seem to be a satisfaction guarantee and that's annoying. One thing about the at-home consultation - i thought he was good at the time but he would not have left here without a sale. One last thing - they DO NOT look as if they cost $500. The shades themselves will be wonderful. The person who sold them to me was lovely, the installer was amazing, kind, cleaned up, noticed issues and reported them. Then the service. It has now been over two weeks since they were here to install with NO communication. I was told by the sales person that any errors would be expedited, this is not the case. I have called, emailed repeatedly, tried to chat with them but their chat feature is turned off. I was looking for an ETA or a status update but nothing. I don't know if the Boston office covers near-in suburbs to the north--this review is for the service I received in Winchester. I would rename them 3-month blinds. In short, it took them that long to manufacture and install a custom blind that had been promised for two weeks. They failed to follow up repeatedly, installers missed appointments, the whole experience was extremely unpleasant and surprising given all of the good reviews. I had 3 Day blinds purchased for my home. I wanted 2 inch faux wood blinds. Because of my window size on some windows I had to settle for 1 1/2 inch. Wish I chose the 2 inch for the windows that could accommodate it. Could have used some advice there!!! After 3++++++++ days the installers ( very nice) installed them. Any blinds over 30" wide sag in the middle. It's very obvious but 3 day disagrees. They're also three slats too long. The stack is very big made bigger by the 3 extra slats. The installers took pictures and sent them to the company. They felt nothing was wrong and closed the case. These were very expensive and I'm very disappointed. I made it clear to the sales person I would be moving the blinds up and down everyday. They are too heavy to do this. My husband and I have a bet on how long they'll last. Keep away.....it was a costly lesson to learn. read more

I used 3 day blinds after much research into the shutter style blinds I was interested in purchasing for 5 windows . Another company, was cheaper , however the quality of the hardware was very poor . We have now enjoyed our blinds for a few months , have received many compliments on them and love the flexibility of the style . I keep them up all day and enjoy the sunshine . Late afternoon when the sun starts bearing down in the room , I lower the shade but keep the shutters open for light without the heat and glare . In the evening , we sometimes close them entirely for privacy . Connie Ray , my consultant was wonderful , efficient and willing to offer suggestions . she arrived to a household under renovation with painters , electricians and plumbers coming and going . We will be ordering again soon as the house nears completion with new window treatments everywhere ! read more

When the blinds were installed, they fit perfectly and looked wonderful. The installation crew is very reputable, too. Though I'm pleased with my experience, I can understand the concerns of those whose blinds took much longer to process. The name of the company implies quick service. If a quick turn-around is important to you, I suggest you talk to your representative about the matter at your very first meeting. It will help you understand how they operate. read more

My order with 3 Day Blinds took 146 days to complete, including 8 days off work to entertain the design consultant and 4 different installation technicians. It all started with a new home and a commercial boasting about THREE DAYS. My husband works nights and I really wanted to get him black out blinds quickly. I scheduled a consultation and we discussed options for our master and guest bedrooms and also talked about the future possibility of drapes in my living and dining rooms. I decided to move forward with all 4 rooms and I paid $4,728 upfront. Two weeks later, the design consultant reached out and said she needed to double check her measurements and she needed to send out a technician. Another two weeks later, we were finally ready to install the black out blinds in the bedrooms. A second tech came out and I noticed the cornices were cracked and/or separated in the corners, the roller shades were too far from the wall and didn't really "black out" the rooms. There were other minor issues, too. I filled out a survey and a case worker called to offer to send someone back, but she had talked to my Design Consultant who said I was mistaken on the "black out" option and they don't offer that. She sold me "Room Darkening" shades, but never corrected me during the consultation when I thought I was buying black out shades. After this visit, they charged my credit card another $1920. One month later, my living room & dining room drapes were ready to be installed. They sent a third technician this time and although the living room drapes were beautiful, they weren't functional. The grommets were stuck on the brackets they used to hang the curtain rod and I couldn't close my drapes. Again, the Design Consultant told the Case Worker that I was mistaken and these drapes were supposed to be stationary and weren't meant to be closed. The dining room drapes came in the wrong size and couldn't be installed at all. This day I was charged another $2620, but the work wasn't complete so I declined the charge on my credit card. Because of this disputed charge, I was moved to a new Case Worker. I am fuming mad at this point, but the design consultant said she needed to come back to my home and look at everything done to make sure we could all be on the same page and schedule just one last visit to complete all the work. I told her I had only 15 minutes available the upcoming Saturday and she agreed to the time. She came to my home a HALF HOUR LATE. We took photos and noted everything that needed fixed and she said she would accompany the installer and make sure everything is done correctly in this final appointment. Another month later, the third tech returned to my home and as he started to open the boxes of product, he realized they didn't send him everything he needed to complete all the work that day. Oh, and the Design Consultant didn't show. When I texted her, she said she didn't know about the appointment. A half hour after the installer was done with the work he could do and had left, the Design Consultant arrived. When I told her how unhappy I was with the entire situation, she told me I was impossible to please. I emailed the second Case Worker about how unhappy I was and described the work that STILL needed to be done. It took him THREE WEEKS to reply. I emailed once/week without a response. I also left phone messages that have still never been returned. Over FIVE WEEKS LATER I got a call to schedule another appointment for the work to be finished. I sat at home through the entire arrival time 9am-12pm. The installer didn't show. I've never been so mad in my entire life. I got a call later in the day that he was on his way, but I had other appointments and couldn't meet him at that time. Three weeks later, the fourth technician came to make the final installs. When he was done with his work, I let him know there were still a few things that didn't seem right to me and he said I needed to notify their team and they'd schedule someone else to come out again - What a joke!! Save yourselves the money and headaches and don't do business with these people. read more

WORST Customer service experience ever. . I recently purchased a new home and wanted to get blinds for the master bedroom. This is particularly important to me as I suffer from chronic migraines and light bothers me when I have an attack, so I need to have a very dark room. I wanted to get blackout shades for all the windows, especially the skylight which is directly above the bed. I called and made an appointment with Deborah Simon. I met with her on Monday August 22. I explained my situation and she helped me pick out the best blinds for keeping my room as dark as possible. She explained that it would be a few weeks to get the blinds in and installed as they were a custom order and I wasn't paying for express shipping. This was okay with me, since I wasn't moving in to the new home for several weeks anyway. That day, my credit card was charged for the 4 blinds that I ordered. I asked Ms. Simon to email me the invoice/receipt instead of printing out a hard copy. She never did so (to this day I have never gotten any kind of invoice or receipt). A few days later I got a call from the installation company to come measure the skylight. The installer came and had to go up on an extension ladder to measure the window. Several weeks later, I had heard nothing from 3 day blinds or Ms. Simon, so I emailed customer service inquiring when I could expect my order to be ready. Here is the response I got on 9/26: * PreInstallSupport@3day.com Sep 26 at 7:34 PM' * To Christine * CC Deborah Simon Message body Hello Christine, I do not see that an order has been placed yet. I have copied your design consultant on this email. Deborah, Can you please provide Christine with her proposal?? Melissa Cierpich Customer Care Representative After this, I had brief contact with Ms. Simon who claimed that she failed to put my order through because the measurement of the skylight was smaller than the original order, so she needed to refund me money, and could not place the order until she did that (not true it turns out), and that she had been away for two weeks and was sick. At this point I called in to Customer Service and complained about the issue. I spoke with a gentleman named Wendall. He also said that he could see no order, provided me with a case number and said that a case manager would contact me within 24 hours. Two days later, I had heard nothing. So I called back. I did not get the name of the person I spoke with but she basically said that "everyone is so busy here that the best way to reach your case manager is email." She gave me his name and email and I sent him an email on 9/29. Again, I got no response. I called back on 10/3 and spoke with someone who apologized and said I "was on a list" to get a call that day. (You have to schedule call backs for angry clients? You have that many???) She promised to call me back herself the next day to make sure that I had been called and she did so (she is the only person who followed through during this whole fiasco). I did finally hear from Joseph Martinez. He said that my order was being "expedited" but that he couldn't give me a ship date, but I would be contacted when it did ship. I asked him if he received my email of the 9/29 and he stated he did, but that he was "too busy" to respond. I got an email from Mr. Martinez on 10/5 saying my order would be delivered to the installer on 10/10 (a Monday) and they would call me to schedule. On Thursday 10/13, I emailed him because I had not heard anything from the installer (why do I have to do this?). They finally got in touch with me and scheduled the install for Tuesday 10/18. On Tuesday, the installer shows up, but the work order, which according to the installer comes directly from 3 day blinds, did not specify that one of the windows was a skylight, so the installer did not have the appropriate ladder. They rescheduled the skylight install for 10/20. On 10/20, an installer showed up, but was hesitant to go up on the ladder alone, so he refused to do the install. The first date they could reschedule for a two person team was 10/27. I was initially offered a refund for my order, but the whole refund was not processed. I wrote to corporate HQ, and now they are denying that such a refund was offered. They apparently think an "I'm sorry" and a token refund is adequate recompense for this nightmare. read more

Call this company for some vertical blinds. Consultant came out to my home. I told her that my existing rail is fine and all I need is replacement of the blind slats.she understood and measured my slats. They offer free install, but she offered to apply that discount to my purchase instead, which I can install myself.She offered a quote via email later that day. Three days passed . I emailed her and asked for the quote, she sent it over.$552 for the product. I asked that much for slats? She replied that they will not sell me slats to me because my rail is to old and it's not their product. My blinds were purchased st Home Depot in 2004, slats are replaceable because of universal fit. I paid $300 for a custom job from Home Depot and they want $552. I am so disappointed in my custom drapes from 3dayblinds. The rep came to the house, saw the installation measured and ordered my drape. This drape was to go on a wooden valance made by my father in law 30 years ago. The rep assured my wife that this back tab installation would work just fine. When the drape arrived, it would not fit the rod, bunched up in the valance and was totally unusable. We had to buy a new rod that would work but the curtain is now clearly to short for this type of installation. Upon complaining, we were contacted by linna who offered a 50 dollar gift card to pay for the rod. Upon accepting this gift card, she sent an email indicating that our case was resolved and the email address she was using then ceased to work any longer. I am so disappointed with this company that I intend to post anywhere and everywhere that I can to warn potential buyers of this company's practices. STAY AWAY. The product is just fine but it is not worth dealing with the customer service. Worst company I have EVER dealt with. I used 3 Day Blinds for the first time and had an issue that was very poorly (and slowly) resolved. I stupidly fell for their excuses and used them again; I believed their excuses and I shouldn't have. I used them for a second time in August. It is now October and I am steal dealing with that same order. I ordered 11 blinds; 1 came the incorrect size. It took 5 weeks for someone to inform me they never reordered the blind in the correct size. Then, when it arrived, it was the wrong size.... again! Another one of my blinds broke within the first week of receiving it. It took 2 weeks for someone to inform me that it was going to be re-ordered. That was over a month ago! I was just informed that, yet again, it was not reordered. They don't respond to phone calls or e-mails and only offer excuses. There is absolutely no customer service. If you don't follow up constantly, nothing will get resolved. read more

The sales person came to the house and was lovely. That part went well. After when there were problems she did not follow up on my call. The shades themselves were well installed and look good and are a good quality. It was not without snags to put it mildly. The first installer arrived 3 1/2 weeks after ordering at 4:30PM to do 11 windows. Had problems understanding sales persons instructions and by 10P had to leave with the job not even half done. This left me with nothing in the windows and living in a bubble. Had to live with garbage bags and sheets covering the windows for privacy until a different installer came days later. There is a gap between two sets of two shades that I would like filled in with an additional shade but since there was no follow up from my sales rep to my calls, I have had to hire someone else to do that. Another thing that customers need to be aware of is that once you put a credit card down on the project they use if for the final payment automatically which is BEFORE the work is done. So basically you pay it all before the work is done. It is in the fine print. In my case since the work was not even done when it was scheduled to be done, it was even more troublesome. After reading my review, I was contacted by someone in the company who was willing to listen to the scenario and offered some compensation. I was left with a better feeling that some one actually cared about the service they deliver and appreciated the follow up. read more
