I decided that instead of looking at ugly, broken blinds I inherited with my condo, that I should…read moreinvest in something I want to look at. I got a few quotes from vendors I had reached out to on Yelp (thank goodness for Yelp) after first trying a personal referral from a friend that went poorly. I had two vendors come over and I like the brand of product that Paul brought for cellular shades, Comfortex. They had all sorts of beautiful colors and textures for the fabric cellular shades I had, and it was hard to choose! Another vendor I had come to my house did not have this brand, but had a brand that did not offer a fabric black-out cellular shade. I am really glad I had ABC Shades come over first so that I could see what was out there first. The shades have been installed and they are beautiful. Everything from start to finish was smooth and everything about the process was seamless. Having these new shades have really perked up the appearance of the 3 rooms I had them installed in. I knew they were not going to be cheap, but the fact is that these are custom-built for my windows, and I was able to select a lovely fabric. I also selected a higher end fabric so that I could get exactly what I want because I actually keep my shades closed almost 100% of the time, so I want to make sure I like looking at them. Thanks Paul!

Paul Conti was very thorough and responsive. As he visited our house to show us products and…read moremeasure, he made several excellent recommendations. He came today (despite very bad weather) to install them. We love our new shades. Everything was very professionally installed, and he removed all the packaging neatly. We highly recommend Paul Conti and ABC Shades and Blinds. Good value for the money. We have the right shades on a large sliding door, windows which needed privacy with top down /bottom up option, and light filtering. We started out thinking we wanted electric but as we reviewed our needs with Paul, ended up deciding against it. Also it was only about a 3 week turnaround from when Paul came to the house to measure, to installation. Great job

She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to understand my style, answer all of my questions, and provide expert guidance without ever making me feel rushed. The pricing was excellent, and the installation team was just as impressive. They were quick, professional, clean, and handled both my home and the new blinds with great care. The finished product has completely transformed my home and made such a huge difference. I couldn't be happier with this purchase! I highly recommend Blinds To Go--especially Gloria--to anyone looking for quality products, outstanding service, and a stress-free experience.

She got someone to come out to see us that very next weekend. Andrea was the sales associate who helped us. She was helpful, knowledgeable and thorough. The samples she brought to our house were helpful. After she did rough measurements and gave us a quote, her measurement person came by. We then placed our order, put down a deposit and then installation was about 1 month later. We ended up getting a bunch of window treatments done with cellular light filtering shades downstairs and the blackout version upstairs. Here is a picture of what they look like downstairs. Durable, high quality.

On the day of the…read moreinstall, after he left, I noticed that at least one of the blinds was screwed into drywall and nothing else. I followed up with a call and sent a picture. He got very defensive. He kept saying it was fine because he had "tugged on it" and it "seemed secure." If you know anything about construction you know that this is nonsense. The conversation went nowhere and I figured I'd wait and see how long they lasted. They stayed open and untouched all winter to let in the warm sun. When summer came around, and we started actually opening and closing the blinds, one came loose. I got back in touch and told them this, and suggested that they use drywall screws or screws long enough to reach some wood. They told me this was impossible, but that they could come back and screw the blind back into the drywall. I reached out to the manufacturer and they told me to use longer screws, or anchors. King Shade & Window ignored this, refusing to do anything but reinstall the way they had the first time. This went nowhere, and I gave up. Since those conversations, more blinds have started to come loose. They lasted 3-5 months of actual use. We were originally going to have them replace our windows. I'm very very glad that we did the blinds first. Now we have to find and pay another installer to fix their mess.
