Their special was a walleye eggs Benedict which I thought was quite interesting and *shouldn't be on the menu if it's not good, so I tried it. Certainly a mistake. Very poorly balanced. Overpowering hollandaise sauce. Soggy muffin. And the fish texture just didn't work. Wife liked her savory potato pancake and eggs / bacon. I wouldn't steer someone away from going back but don't get a Benedict. Or head to one of the other many breakfast joints in the area read more

Food was okay nothing special for increased prices. Just had breakfast. Been here many times in the past and was very good. This spring stopped by for breakfast. Big changes. Some of the changes... Plastic water cups (not a big deal) 1 piece of toast instead of the standard 2 with breakfast (strange) Shrunk the menu. (Some good choices gone) Removed some of the tables which is a good thing prices went up, over $40 for 2 regular breakfasts not counting tip (bad price performance) Stopped their home made jam(no big deal but it was good) Was comparable to DJ'S down the road but no more. Now when DJ's is closed we head for Holiday Cafe in Woodruff or Leif's in Eagle River. Bit of a ride but worth. Less for your money is not a positive for the consumer. We were staying in St. Germain for musky opener and decided to stop in for breakfast. Reviews said it was good, but couldn't be far from the truth. We were told 5-10 min wait time and ended up waiting over 20 min. Sat down and service started off good but by the end was a disaster. Forgetting parts of meals and forgetting who had what. Silverware was dirty, meal portions were small and frankly something I could make at home. Overall food was okay, but for the price I would go elsewhere. This brunch place was really good. Despite being busy, the food came out fairly quickly and it tasted good. A couple of minor things keep me from giving this five stars, but it's close. There was a missed English muffin and the coffee was nothing special beyond typical diner coffee. Outside of that, the sausage gravy was flavorful and the pancakes were really good. I said nothing when the flat omelet came, as he is generally easy to please. The square of american cheese on top was especially ​unappetizing and his cranberry juice was pink .. probably drink vs juice as he said it tasted watered down. My toast was barely toasted, it literally bent upon picking it up. My two eggs seemed more like one and the bacon was beyond crisp. Suffice to say we will not be back. read more

We went back to this area because my 80 year old mom grew up here and wanted to return. We decided to go to the Monday flea market and we opted to have breakfast here. No offense but as a southerner I wasn't too hopeful that the food up in these parts would be good but this place proved me wrong. We both got a 4 egg omelette and it was cooked to perfection and the ingredients and meats were plentiful and delicious! We also got one of their homemade cinnamon rolls and it too was delicious. I opted for hash browns with onions and cheese and it too was wonderful. My only complaint is that this is a small place and people literally sit on top of one another so it would have been better if they had limited seating with the Covid 19 going around. Stopped in at 3 C's as my usual breakfast joint was closed. They were fine -- my country fried steak was country fried, gravy could've used more pepper but it was decent, the hash browns were crispy on one side which is fine (prefer both, but I could've asked for crispy). Mrs. T got a pancake breakfast and the pancakes come out thin and hers was a little dark on the edges but it tasted good enough. The service was good, we had an attentive waitress and didn't have to wait long for anything. Other than that -- they were a little pricier than I've seen for breakfast in the Saint Germain area but the difference wasn't more than say 10-15% than I was used to with my regular place. read more

They reopened in early September with new owners and the food is delicious! They repainted, has new decor on the walls and the tables have been freshened up as well. Still think they could of replaced the green carpet ( maybe that would be done at a later date ?) We stopped in early for breakfast and was seated right away, coffee was brought to our table immediately ( best coffee) Breakfast was brought out quickly as well and it was delicious ! We both had the 3C's Supreme skillet, huge portion with perfectly cooked Bacon (was crisp ) and eggs were cooked just right. Honestly, you can't go wrong here . We had breakfast here today and my review is really a 3 1/2 star rating. The walleye and potato pancake was delicious and the service was very good. What has us probably not returning is the coffee. It was TERRIBLE. Very weak and flavorless. I also ordered over medium eggs and they were runny. If coffee and eggs aren't your thing, give it a try. read more

This was your typical good ol' Mom and Pop resteraunt! A menu filled with breakfast and lunch served all day. Tons of choices for everyone! The food was delicious for what you'd expect at a diner. My friends and I had an egg skillet, eggs benedict, and patty melt (lots of butter and onions added!) with skinny fries. The place was packed the entire time we were there (about an hour). The decor was an interesting mix of holiday items from Halloween to Easter and everything between. So a little late on the reeivew as we were her last month. My family and I are here twice in our short trip to the Northwoods. I had the blackened walleye and eggs both times. It was soooo good. Nice restaurant in the heart of St. Germain, just 13 miles east of Arbor Vitae/Woodruff. Quiet place and nice servers. I had a basket of pan-fried walleye and fries. All was great. The walleye tasted fresh and juicy, which is what I like in fish. If you are in St. Germain, I see no problem coming here for a nice meal. We visit Saint Germain once or twice a year and finally tried this place! I can't have gluten and am always concerned if it'll go well. They were very helpful and skipped the seasonings just in case. I ordered the sirloin breakfast with hash browns and 2 sunny side up eggs. It was delicious and didn't even need the seasoning! I felt fine after which is a delight! FULL but no headache! read more

It's a real pleasant Northwoodsy place to get the traditional breakfast with pancakes, bacon, and coffee. Before our 400 mile ride home, we had breakfast at 3c's. Most excellent! Potato pancakes were big and tasty. Country fried steak was perfect in a true country style sausage gravy. When a place is this good, word gets around fast and the place fills up. Get there early or expect to wait. The place is not very big and can only fit a limited amount of people. 2: you cannot purchase their homemade jams and preserves. I would pay any price they ask if they were to sell it by the jar. 3: it is too far away from Chicago where I live. I have honestly literally planned camping trips to Trout Lake just so that I can have breakfast at this place every morning. 4: the food is a little too good causing me to eat until it hurts. Absolutely the best breakfast in the North Woods! Located not far from the more popular and almost as good Wolf Pack, 3 C's has the best walleye and eggs fins down! The prices are so low for what you get, I had to tell them once to raise their prices! A new special for 7.99 was once piece of walleye, half an eggs benedict and one potato pancake! This is stellar for what you get and its all so tasty. I cant resist getting the walleye every time. Its so tasty and has this cornmeal crust that is just perfect. I always leave this place with a clean plate and a full tummy! The only negative is that the service tends to be slow. But hey, we aren't in Chicago and its well worth the wait. read more

Stopped here for lunch on the way back from Eagle River. Quiet, nice dining area and were given menus in a flash. I ordered the soup and half sandwich while hubby had the walleye plate. My chicken dumpling soup was very good and the sandwich had plenty of turkey, lettuce and tomato on it. The hubby enjoyed the walleye and fries, but you get maybe 2 tablespoons of cole slaw...a bit more would have been nice. Think we'll have to try it for breakfast sometime! read more

I am a big fan of corned beef hash, and am pretty picky about it. Theirs was perfect! I will order it every time. Others had the walleye and eggs, stuffed french toast and omelettes. After seeing all the good reviews, my wife and I stopped in for lunch. The service was friendly and fine but the food was a disappointment. My wife had a French dip sandwich. Part of the bun was hard and stale, the meat wasn't very warm. I had a meatloaf lunch plate. I'm not a big eater but the portion of meatloaf and mashed potatoes was small enough I thought it might have been a child's meal. The gravy was very salty, like it was straight from a can. Both the meat and potatoes were barely warm. We were both sorry we'd chosen the 3 Cs for lunch. read more
