I came here for a quick pizza, not expecting much, but the pizza is GREAT for 3.99! Nice and cheesy, not too greasy, not at all dry. I am shocked. I was originally just gonna grab a slice and leave the rest for my roommates but I will be hoarding this for myself now. I've been to some great places around LA, some cheaper spots, some super Italiano pizza kitchens as well, and this place is excellent for the price. The staff was very nice, they had two guys working and both were very helpful and kind. The arcade inside of the restaurant also makes this place look 10x more fun! First time to this location, we always go to the Covina one and let me just say the worst service ever. We got there before the Friday rush hour and 30 min later after the people who ordered after us are getting their food we went to go ask about ours and the cashier never printed out the order ticket !!! Are you kidding me what kind of service is this 10 min it took them to figure out they never printed out the ticket. Yes we got upset! We recently tried there pizza from a work function. It wasn't bad at all. The meat lovers pizza was about 7.99 I was told. The only pizza place that comes comes is Little Caesars. I came back in town and decided to visit this old pizza joint that my friends and I frequented back in our days at Baldwin Park High School. The location is right across from the back entrance where there is now an auto shop at the school. The way I remembered it, the pizza wasn't half-bad. I decided to come back and try it. I came at around 1 PM today and there was not a single soul in there. In fact, there was not even a waitress/waiter in the front. I waited several minutes prior to someone coming out to the front from the back (kitchen, I presume). I decided to go with something simple. I mean, it's hard to mess up simple right? I ordered a small pepperoni pizza to go. It took about ten minutes. The small pizza was a personal sized pizza. I drove home. Five minutes later, I wash my hands and prepare to eat. I opened the box and the pizza did not look appetizing at all. It didn't give you that sensation that delicious smelling, looking, and usually tasting pizza gives you. It looked very sad actually. You can immediately see all the grease on the side of the box and under the pizza. The cheese stick together, but not in the gooey/melted sense. It was more clumped together and when you took a part of the slice, the toppings would fall right off because of the clumping of the cheese. The cheese didn't taste great and at times, I was getting more of the bread than I was the flavor of the toppings. I was very disappointed and only finished it because I felt bad paying for it and throwing it away. Next time, I will opt for the Baldwin Park Pizza Company instead. Friendly environment but again the food is reasonably priced so you pay for the quantity not the quality because the food isn't great. Wings are salty sometimes, pizza sometimes has blobs of cheese not melted completely. They have great Micheladas tho! And I haven't tried the sandwiches so maybe that would be the deal breaker.
