The service was ok there is two buildings to look at with different price points. Overall,it's an interesting thrift store but I would say it's more of a store without out a big brand name to it kind of like those store you see now selling product that is returned from Amazon or Target.

4 Stars for a great cause to support with your donations and some great finds!…read more When I was looking for an ethical organization where I could donate items I don't use anymore, I was so thrilled to find Out of the Closet. According to their website, Out of the Closet Thrift Store (OTC) was founded in 1990 to help raise funds and awareness for AIDS Healthcare Foundation. When you shop or donate at Out of the Closet, 96 cents of every dollar made goes to AIDS Healthcare Foundation's HIV prevention and treatment services. Dropping donations off is very easy- you pull up just past the front retail door to another closed exterior door which has a sign to ring a bell for assistance. From there someone comes out to receive the donations. As a thrift shop, I've been able to find a great furniture piece as well as a few tops. They have lots of clothes and some home goods, depending on the week. With that said, it's not the best thrift store in terms of inventory and pricing, but you know you're supporting a good cause and there are some hidden gems. I'll keep donating here and perusing for some fun thrift finds!

There was a Llama Poncho that was handmade in the '40s on the same rack as other items ranging from the 20s to the 80s, so cool to see history through clothing! It's a small shop, so it only needs one worker at a time. She did a good job engaging with everyone and answering any questions. The items are vintage and many are one of a kind, so expect boutique prices!

I was able to find a Disney shirt that still had the original tag on it. They had so many different shoes to look through that they even had different areas set up for specific shoe colors. Since there are so many shoes for women, they are all pretty affordable. However, they were not as many shoes for men so they were a bit more on the expensive side. Most of the men's shoes that I found for my husband started at about $15 and went all the way up to over $100. For used shoes I wouldn't pay anything over $20. The cashiers were friendly. I saw an item behind the shelves that I wanted a price check on and the lady helped me. If you're in the area and you're looking to pick up some thrifted goods, I would definitely recommend checking this store out. They do have a restroom inside but you need to push the button by the door and wait for an employee to come let you into the bathroom. Make sure if you're with someone else that they take your items because you're not allowed to bring merchandise into the restroom with you.

If I were to categorize this store I would have 3 categories - clothing, used games and vintage kitsch. When you walk in they have a very inviting couch and seating area. Near the front are racks and displays of featured items and a display case/checkout area. The store features a lot of vintage t-shirts, sports jerseys and funky hipster clothing. There is a tag color chart which indicates the price of the item. Management knows their merchandise value and items in the front room of the store have been priced at the going used retail prices. The back room has the bulk clothing bins, used gaming items and vintage electronics and some collectibles. I dug through the bins and found some nice items but only one that I liked in my size. I was afraid there was a minimum of a pound charge but instead my item was placed on a scale and I paid the weight divided by $7 a pound. I found a short sleeve top I liked and paid $2.75. So the bulk bins are a bargain if you can find something you like. The service was friendly and efficient. They accept cards and digital payments. I particularly was drawn to the vinyl albums and they looked like quality in their plastic sleeves to protect the covers. I did not check the condition of the vinyl but if you are looking to add to your collection this might be an option.

We found a lot of NWT and barely worn items, especially for kids; if you have little ones, this is absolutely your spot. There were tons of kids' clothes, baby items, and even baby gauze cloths. Found Matilda Jane, a bunch of baby onesies. We also came across plenty of keyword-worthy pieces for reselling. A&F and Starter jackets, plus a lot of high end men's blazers and gently worn shoes from brands like Born and Keds. Star Trek gear. They rotate the bins often, so there's always something new to look through. Overall, a solid spot if you're willing to dig and love a good treasure hunt.
