I really love this state park. Parking is $10. There is an area to bbq, an area to rent pedal…read moreboats, a hotel, a pool, area to purchase food and hiking trails. I usually go just to hike and enjoy the views. What I like is that the trail is always clean with clear signs on where to walk up which creates a safe hike. There are different levels of difficulty of trails so you can either select a moderate trail or challenging one. There is a large grass area where you can sit and enjoy a picnic or take a walk around the lake.

Avoid at all costs while they are doing construction. It's impossible to actually get to a trail…read morehead. And there is no one in any of the offices to actually offer help. They should have warned us many trails closed or detours when we paid the parking fee. Really cool and clean skate park. I wondered if it would be well maintained and it really is well…read moremaintained. The skaters are cool, nobody bothers anyone rather they encourage each other. Since this is my first skate park it feels on the smaller side but heck it's a solid park. Ramps are all cement, no wood to have decay.

This facility is used for all sports…read more(mainly used for school teams), also providing a playground, skating park, beach volleyball, and a trail for the alternatives. A bathroom also provided as a plus. The trail was our main focus. It all starts in the lower lot toward Fishkill Creek. Going to the left, you'll find a sign indicating keeping your dog on a leash, making it the starting point. You'll see signs on the tree marking the color of the trail you're on. A very nice walk to follow along the creek, making it the highlight. It's mainly a flat trail with a very little up and down hills, but nothing too complicating. The ending is a bit strange, coming out to a football field. This is a great place to have get-togethers, along with having many physical activities to make it even more entertaining.

The quarter pipes are little too far apart to get a half-pipe rhythm going but they're fine as quarter pipes. It's a DIY vibe. To whoever got it built - thanks. The pavement is that coarse pebbly stuff the parks department uses all over NY, so you can't do flat ground stuff. Most likely this was here before the skaters. It is what it is. There isn't a lot to skate around here, so I'll probably go back eventually.

Was empty when I got there but then tons of kids showed up, seemed chill. Good is huge houses on one side, big houses on the other smaller more beat up houses on the other and the back of a police station on the closest side, if you want to build the skate park behind a hospital or a fire station that's a great place to do it but behind a police station you are just calling skateboarders criminals that need to be watched over by big brother and it's super offensive. Get it together people!!! skateboarding is not a crime, there was a big ad campaign about it in the 80s. there is parking 2hr limit until 7pm closes at dusk.

CONS: There is hardly any parking. there's one small side street and that's it OVERALL: I would highly suggest coming here especially if you're in the area. As of today the bowl is still under construction. Yes, there are scooter kids and a lot of bikes at times but you have to share the space. Definitely one of the better skate parks in the city.
