The only thing that was bad about it, was that one day I was skating by myself and the guy came out and said they were closing, but when I got home I went on their website and they'll be open for another hour. She was fitted for a size 1 ice skate and I was hesitant because I had just sized up her sneakers to 2s. I was assured there was plenty of room and deferred to them on it. Of course a month later she was complaining about them being too small. We came back to Peck's and they exchanged them for 2s and only subtracted $20 from the refund for her having worn them for a month. They had some scuffs and the insoles showed her feet print but they were otherwise in pristine condition. It was a better deal than I hoped for and I sincerely appreciate the accommodation of her growing feet. It goes to show how important customer service is because we will for sure be customers for life now (she really loves skating so it seems like we will stick with it, ha see what I did there?). Some rare finds and fun decks (see pic) What set this spot apart for me was the personalized service I received from the owner. He listened to my unique requests and provided insightful guidance; all while supervising a group of young local skaters. They are permitted to try the boards right inside the shop. He excused himself politely a few time to provide coaching and help to these young kids who were already helping each other learn the basics of skateboarding. It was inspiring to see.
