The pancakes here are offered in two varieties--"thin" or standard. She went standard, which is a thick, fluffy pancake. I haven't seen this style served outside of the many pancake houses in the smoky mountains. Always enjoy those when staying there and this one, judging from my bite, is on par with those. For those unaccustomed to this style, it's far better than you might imagine. The "thin" cakes, which can be ordered in stacks, is what is a "standard" hotcake pretty much anywhere else. My country fried steak was great, eggs cooked to order perfectly. Hot coffee, cheap prices, great service even though they were very busy and our server was juggling a dozen tasks simultaneously.
