Very courteous, help, knowledgeable, friendly, had a wide variety of items. Ammo was a little steep, but that's what you get these days.

Had ammo & are open later than some other stores in town which is why it was where I stopped. I called ahead to check (tip: press 1 to get through to a person as their automated message is super long lol). Ammo was reasonably priced despite all the craziness right now which is nice. Said they have more ordered but waiting for it to be shipped out so they're out of .9mm & .22mm lr currently. Didn't check on other ammo types so I'm not certain but saw plenty there in the shelves. Friendly & quick service. Small store but had what I wanted so = win. Pistol Parlor was limiting sales to only two boxes of ammo per day. 2nd & Horizons are the only places I checked, out of all within city limits, who have things right now in town. Small shop with very limited selection. The guy I talked to seemed knowledgeable, but I got the vibe that he was mainly interested in talking to law enforcement people or military routes, not regular guys who like to shoot as a hobby. He said they have a gunsmith, but the store seemed too small overall. The guy wasn't rude, but he was short. UPDATE I raised the rating to four stars because of a recent visit. I just waited too long to post it. And was only reminded when the shop owner contacted me on here. The last time i was there, the attitude was somewhat lessened, the ammo selection is always good and the guy waiting the counter always had time for questions. Still need more selection though. Very limited selection of products... hardly any ammo to sell... did not have my ammo for my weapon... not worth the detour. Also, one guy working... had to wait for over twenty minutes while he helped another customer just to be told "what I have on the shelves is all I have in stock" ... would have been better if he'd inquired about what we were seeking when we walked in as to not waste his or our time. read more

This shop is hands down the best in Flagstaff. They have a great selection of top brand handguns and rifles. The staff are veterans and extremely knowledgable dudes. Great customer service and very friendly, knowledgeable staff has made this my favorite place to buy firearms. The staff take their time to listen to my questions and educate me about gear and guns. The owner even took time on his day off to come to the shop on a Sunday morning so I could take delivery of my new firearm. I see some reviews on here suggesting that the staff is rude or unhelpful. Don't believe them: Nothing could be further from the truth! It's a small store with personalized service that reminds me of the place in Colorado I bought my first rifle as a kid. Over the past several months I have purchased 2 complete firearms from this store, as well as many accessories and a decent amount of ammunition. After having checked out most, if not all of, the gun stores in the Flagstaff area, I will only be going to 2nd Amendment from now on. Some of the other places pressured me into sales, or talked down to me as if I were an uneducated child. Phil and the other employee who I have interacted with (Troy I believe) have both been very friendly. They always take the time to answer my questions, and I bring them a lot of questions. As someone who is constantly trying to educate themselves about firearms, it is important for me to have these guys as a resource and they have even helped by halting my enthusiasm on purchases I didn't really NEED, but was hyped up about. To me that is one of the most telling things about this business: He would rather give me quality information and help educate me than make a sale I might end up regretting. I have made a few purchases from the 2nd amendment store over the past several months. I have never had a problem, the owner is very knowledgeable. Would make suggestions but wouldn't push me into anything I did not want. Can't beat the prices and if he didn't have something I wanted he didn't have a problem ordering it. Called the store and spoke to Phil regarding an AR with the CA bullet button magazine release. I needed it removed and a standard mag release installed. Phil said bring it right in and I did. Awesome small place and very informative. Of course it's still a new business and they are doing they're best to get every demand in. I would pick this store over any others in the Northern Arizona market. These guys are straight and honest with customers which this country lacks. I've worked at several firearm/ range stores and there will always be jack ass customers who shouldn't own firearms in the first place who come in and don't get what's demanded. Horrendous customer service.. I had the same experience as Yo M. They would not refund me after ordering the incorrect handgun. The owner and his employees are obnoxious and unwilling to admit fault in the situation. Do not waste your time going to this place. The employees and the owner, Phil, have no knowledge about firearms, customer service or how to run a business. The owner was unreasonable and completely relinquished any blame for something that was clearly his fault. They pushed forward with a sell just to trap me into having to buy a pistol that; 1. I didn't want after I specifically asked for a certain feature on the pistol. They failed to notify me that the feature was unavailable, which I confirmed with a licensed Walther dealer that they do in fact make the same pistol with the same feature I requested. 2. Failed to inquiry about my residence, which is California and they can not complete the transaction. 3. The owner told me that this is a "special order" and WILL NOT refund my $300.00 deposit. He also called me a Jackass when clearly the store and employees were at fault. I didn't get a call saying that they were not going to be able to order the pistol I asked for and that they were ordering a different one. They just pretended like I knew exactly what I was getting when they switched the order on me. I would not even look in the stores direction. I wouldn't even eat at a restaurant near it. One of the employees that I dealt with could not function without his boss and only repeated that he couldn't do anything without the boss and to come in the next day to speak with him. First, you need to know that this store is run by military vets. That's the primary and best reason to go there in the first place. Secondly, they will not b.s. you and are simply terrific straightforward businessmen, willing to accommodate as best they can but only within their own limits. Like the great classic movie Miracle on 34th Street, in which the Santa Claus referred Macy's customers to another store, these guys were straight in telling me that they couldn't beat the price on a certain gun with that of another store in town. So I bought the gun at a better price elsewhere, but you can bet that I took it to 2nd Amendment to have some custom work done on it. I salute and respect these guys, as I am an older veteran than they are and so know how good these guys really are. read more
