I came into Flagstaff Pawn to look at some firearm accessories and bows with no intention of purchasing anything. Upon walking in, I was greeted by everyone who was working at the time. I found myself looking at a used bow that was reasonably priced and ended up talking with both Isaiah and Mark about it. Although not too knowledgeable on bows, both gentlemen trusted me to tell them anything I could about it (ie, Repairs needed, Pricing of others similar to it, etc). At the end of the day, Mark and I were able to work out a deal with me leaving the shop with a "new" bow and red dot sight at a reasonable price! New pawn shop in town with reasonable pricing. I like the set up very clean and tidy shop. Very organized. Layaway is 20% down. I found their jewelry selection very appealing. One customer who was waiting for help was disappointed and left stating "He never gets any help from the staff." I believe the norm is to wait in line like everyone else for customer service. Waiting on the floor for staff to assist you is not the normal shopping experience with pawn shops. Once the last customer was assisted, one of the gentlemen came on the floor to see if I needed assistance. This was after everyone had left. I will be back for some jewelry. read more

This shop is a welcome challenge to the (still) existing pawns, that have monopolized Flagstaff for years. They are barely a year past open, and prove they mean to be a constant threat to those businesses. When they opened in a less-than-ideal location, I scoffed and gave them six months. I was oh so wrong. Fair loans, no shady dealings, this will prove a lasting business. Flagstaff Pawn is different from most pawn shops out there. They actually greet you with great customer service and carry some nice high end stuff. They are also organized!!
