What a disappointment. We have been coming here since this place opened and at first it was good. It has been going downhill since. Last time my hubby and me ate here, I got my food before my husband. I couldn't wait much longer because it was getting cold so I ate it. After I was done with my food my husband got his food and the appetizers came out so I ate that while he ate his dinner. When we paid we let the lady know what happened and she told us that next time we come we need to tell her that we want to eat our food together. Really? Tonight was worse. Menus were dirty and I mean REALLY dirty. We ordered and told the lady we wanted to eat at the same time. We ordered samosas and dinner. We came here for the first time over the weekend, because Saffron was closed. Glad we did, because the food was really tasty! We got the garlic naan, vegetable samosas, mango lassi, lamb vindaloo, and lamb rogan josh. The garlic naan and samosas needed more seasoning, and the mango lassi was close to room temperature. The entrees though were really outstanding though with lots of flavor and tender meat. Rice was soft and cooked just right. Portions were large enough for leftovers. You know you've had good Indian food when you have heartburn the next 36 hours. Well worth it, and there are many dishes to try. Prices were reasonable, and they have specials throughout the week for extra value. I would come back to try some of their other items. I'll mention that service was pretty lackluster. With all the dishes we ordered, our finished plates weren't cleared until the end of our meal, and our server didn't really check on us. Absolutely the worst service. Menus are stained with sticky sauces. Last time we came, my wife got her food and I waited for 15 minutes waiting on mine. By the time my dish was served my wife had already finished her meal. We told the waitress that the service could be improved upon and she told us we should have requested that our food should be served together! WTF? I ordered using Uber eats. Ordering an Uber eats was easy and will explain. I ordered Hakka noodles, a cheese omelette, cheese naan, and kheer for dessert. I asked for no onions in my omelette (there was none) and no onions in my Hakka noodles (there were several). The food taste amazing. Wow, we loved it. We don't eat desserts, but we did here! We don't go back for seconds, but we did here! This was some of the most authentic Indian food we have ever had, just like what we enjoyed in India. Certainly the best Indian food we have had in South Carolina. It's a large buffet with lots of piping hot options, and between the two of us we tried almost everything. The naan was marvelous and the rice pancakes went so well with chicken Marsala. The menu is massive, the food is authentic, and the employees are very courteous. The Korma w/ goat, the Laal Mas, and the Vindaloo are my go-to dishes. Word to the wise - they ask how spicy you want your food between a 1-6, and their spice doesn't mess around. I ordered a 6 once and it was a lot, so I usually stick with 5 because I love spicy. I'm going to give this spot 3 stars since I haven't tasted the food, so my review will be based on the service. The pictures of the food look great and the menu is huge so my partner and I decided to pick up food on our way to Greenville. I called a few times to place the order but no one answered, and eventually it went straight to voicemail. When I called the extension for general questions, I spoke to a lady who redirected me to the delivery services they use. I ordered via Grubhub, and upon arrival, the worker told me they never received the order, that this has happened before, and I need to call Grubhub directly to get my money back. I was pretty upset since I ordered from Grubhub as a last resort because she did not feel like taking my order via phone. I explained this and the owner interjected and immediately got defensive. We never received a "sorry," or any sort of accommodation. He leaned over the counter as he was getting upset with us, WITHOUT a mask. I understand not all places have a mask mandate, but everyone else had one, and it did not make me feel safe at all. I especially did not like him coming closer to me when he was the only one in the restaurant who did not have one. The mixup was not their fault, but I did not feel that this was dealt with gracefully or nicely. I felt the need to express that no one answered their takeout extension (the place was nearly empty) and they did not express any sort of apology; they made it feel like it was our fault. At the end, the first worker was on the phone trying to get our order from Grubhub and the owner tried to get our order (only then) as we were walking out. Case in point is 2 Gingers and their extensive options for Indian food that goes beyond your typical Tika, curry and Masala dishes. I had the Haka noodles for the 2d time and it's one of the best Indian dishes I've ever had. Not sure if I've ever seen this in any other restaurant, but it's DAMN GOOD. Check this place out when in Columbia. They were busy when we went and for a good reason! Very flavorful and authentic food, good size portions. I would 10/10 recommend getting the cheese naan. I walked into the restaurant on Bush River Road and I had no idea what anything was on the menu. My server was kind enough to explain everything to me and to show me all of the vegetarian options. After ordering, papadum was brought with three dipping options mint, onion and tamarind chutney. Each was fresh and delicious. The mint chutney was cool, spicy and fresh. After enjoying the papadum, the food was brought out timely and hot. The lamb was cooked with a medium spice level and was what I would expect for a medium spice level. The curry exceeded my expectations. The lamb was tender and the onions, spices and cilantro came together, bursting with flavor. Then we ordered the MANCHURIAN DRY and BAIGAN BARTHA. The Manchurian dry was not cooked from the inside, it was like eating raw dough that was cooked from the outside only.
