From the very beginning, the staff was welcoming, patient, and absolutely wonderful with all of our girls. They put together a two-hour class that was incredibly well organized and structured while still keeping the girls engaged and having fun the entire time. They talked with them about anti-bullying, personal safety, confidence, awareness, and different ways they can protect themselves if they ever feel unsafe. The girls also learned basic martial arts skills, including how to properly kick and strike, and one of their favorite parts was getting the chance to break boards! I was so impressed with how much they were able to teach the girls while making everything age-appropriate, encouraging, and fun. Every girl walked away feeling proud of herself and more confident. We are definitely interested in checking out more of what Final Strike Martial Arts has to offer and would highly recommend them to any family looking for a martial arts program for their child. Others only seemed to offer group karate lessons to the "masses" and I never felt like my child received any individual attention. With Z-Ultimate in Murrieta, Sensei Pierce offers Shaolin Kempo Karate and provides all his students with the basic understanding of all the animals: Tiger, Crane, Snake, Leopard, and Dragon which all have very different postures and focuses on a more traditional approach. There's always an uplifting and positive "quote of the week" listed on the board in the dojo, we're always greeted when entering, phone calls are always returned within the same day. Sensei Pierce has always been accommodating in rescheduling private sessions due to vacation schedules. The most important part is my son enjoys going. He's met a ton of new friends, he's more responsive and better behaved to helping out at home and over-all- a happier child. He's learning discipline and different self-defense techniques while enjoying it at the same time. ***Added side note--- The karate studio is located right next to a major grocery store, two Chinese restaurants, a Mexican restaurant, a subway, an Irish pub, etc. So you can always grab a boba drink and do some light grocery shopping for your night's dinner while your kids are doing karate. ;)

Back in December last year, I joined this UFC Gym in Murrieta because of the recovery room…read moreamenities such as cryotherapy, PEMF machine, infrared sauna & etc. I signed up for the Champion membership at $140-$150/month, which included a guest pass. In February, new management came in and changed the policies with zero notice to existing members. Since the guest pass and full recovery access were the main reasons I joined, they offered me the Recovery Room membership at $69/month. I continued using the dry sauna and cryotherapy consistently, 2-3 times a week. Then this month in May, staff told me I'm not allowed to use the dry sauna anymore with a Recovery membership (only infrared). That was understandable but when I asked to use the bathroom, I was told no because I don't have a "gym" membership. The staff member then suggested me to upgrade to a full gym membership and condescendingly pointed out that "Recovery members usually pay $1,000 a year, and you're paying less," implying I should feel lucky for the limited access. I've been a consistent, paying member the whole time, yet I was treated like a second-class customer because I didn't fit their ideal customer profile? The communication is poor, good staff have mostly been replaced, and there's clear inconsistency. If you signed up with any kind of deal before, it feels like you're now treated like an outsider who no longer fits their system. The recovery amenities are good when you can actually use them, but the sudden rule changes, basic access denials, and condescending attitude make it very frustrating. If you're considering a Recovery membership here, be aware of these issues.
