The entire team has been instrumental in our children's success, both on the training mat and at competitions. My wife and I were both multi-sport athletes, but neither of us ever practiced or competed in combat sports so while we weren't sure what to expect, we both understood what effective teaching/training looked like. From the first day, it was evident that the team was focused on developing comfort and confidence in the new students. They were both immediately assigned to an experienced student who made them feel relaxed and walked them through both the drills and lessons over the next few days. They quickly went from being a little scared of joining a class full of students with varied experience levels to requesting to attend class every day of the week. Of all the extracurricular activities they had tried, this was the one that ignited their passion the most. The professor, Tom Cronin, and the entire team of coaches do an excellent job of keeping the kids engaged by balancing expectations with both fun and recognition. They have a great sense of each student and how to motivate them to excel. They also steer clear of pitfalls we were warned of by friends who have children attending other academies, specifically promotions based on attendance as opposed to merit. At this gym, the children are evaluated on their skills and ability to execute the requisite moves. This encourages them to excel instead of just casually participating. Within 9 months they had developed enough confidence to compete and we were blown away at how well they performed against the competition from around the country. Most importantly, they had a coach prepare them the week before with one on one training and he was the one who attended the competition to coach both of them through all of their matches. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly for us, the academy doesn't just teach them BJJ, it reinforces core behaviors that we expect from our children - Respect, honor, and community. At the end of the day, we are all trying to raise the best humans we can and I can say with absolute confidence, that this academy is an integral part of that process for our children. I absolutely recommend Carlson Gracie, Temecula to anyone with any interest in Brazilian Jui-Jitsu.

I would give 1.5- 2 stars for the lack of a code of conduct or the enforcement thereof. There were so many couples who struggled with keeping their "physical passion for one another" to themselves. Many different couples were spanking each other LOUDLY in various areas of the resort. There were some couples who were getting a little too comfortable with one another in different soaking tubs, some who were getting "handsy" at the clay cove, and some who were just doing questionable behavior regardless where they were. I am a young adult and I've been around couples who have had public passion for each other- like making out at amusement parks- you know, the usual. BUT this behavior was on another level; this was out of the bounds of public decency. On the note of public decency, there were a few guests whose swimwear exposed more than it covered (if you're picking up what I'm throwing down). There was, also, one man in particular who was smoking/ taking a fat rip of his vape in front of CHILDREN. All that being said, I could NOT, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone accompanied by very young humans as a child-friendly/ family- friendly resort. Aside from those concerns, everything else met my standards. Hotel room (Stone Lodge) was clean. Towels were stocked at the pools. The temperatures were good. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would not return as a day pass user (since my party and I are not locals), BUT we would come back as hotel guests.

Luckily, I had extra clothes for the grandkids to change out of, otherwise we would have to play in the dry playground while hearing and seeing the kids enjoy the Splash Pad. The playground has their rules and regulation posted on the gates. The restrooms are just outside of the play area, so very convenient. There is nice green grass in some areas and some picnic tables and stationary benches. I believe on of the rules is that you cannot set up canopy's, but I did see people set up a couple. I don't know if they have someone police the area if people are abiding by the rules. It wasn't a bother to anyone but I'm sure there is a reason for having that rule. The play area is nicely padded. The play equipment is nicely spread out where you could really view your littles as they run free with your close eye on them. There are different areas with equipment that is age appropriate. For sure I would return. Plenty of parking, it is clean and the grandkids and I love it here!

After speaking with other people at the park, we were told the City of Temecula does not currently have plans to reopen it. This information definitely needs to be updated online so families know before making the trip. Aside from that, the playground itself is very clean and has a nice rubberized surface for the kids. There is a massive toddler playground with its own separate swing set, along with a larger playground for older kids. It is honestly a nice park, and the closed splash pad is the only reason I am giving it three stars.

This was my first time driving a jet ski and had no trouble getting the hang of it. SO much fun. The lake was empty before noon on a Monday but got a bit busier and choppier around 1. The views were great, some wildlife, and we will definitely return and would recommend. Five stars!

To know especially that these are rescued animals and are being taken care of so carefully, giving us the privilege of being able to give them our love as well, it was a heartwarming experience. Plenty of free parking available right infront of the sanctuary. There is a cute little shop attached to the sanctuary, where you can buy their handmade truffle chocolates which are so delicious (coming from someone who isn't a fan of truffle chocolates), fresh farm eggs, honey, and other delicacies. With your zoo "ticket" you get 2 free samples of their chocolates and a hefty bag of feed for the animals. The animals are mostly in their own pens, with some together. There's even a couple of the pigs you'll find out of pens, just hanging out on the property, laying beside the building. You're able to go into the tortoise pen and feed/pet him as well, 2 people at a time inside the pen, as he does get anxious. You're not able to feed all of the animals, but for the most part you can. Each pen has a sign for which animals are ok to feed/pet and which are not. They are very calm and friendly, as long as you are too. They take the feed very gently and don't bite your fingers. On the weekends they offer pizza made fresh for the visitors, and have plenty of covered outdoor seating options to enjoy. They also offer wine tasting, but we did not partake, as we had just left a winery, but I'm sure it is quite enjoyable as well. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area and it's a 5 minute drive from the wineries!

My partner and I started taking classes back in October 2019. We have been attending more frequently as of late and regret not doing so in the beginning of this adventure. The gains we've experienced are not only physical but are mental as well. Keith is an encouraging, inspiring and passionate instructor. It's a great facility with well kept equipment and top notch training not to mention an amazing staff which we now consider family! The entire team has been instrumental in our children's success, both on the training mat and at competitions. My wife and I were both multi-sport athletes, but neither of us ever practiced or competed in combat sports so while we weren't sure what to expect, we both understood what effective teaching/training looked like. From the first day, it was evident that the team was focused on developing comfort and confidence in the new students. They were both immediately assigned to an experienced student who made them feel relaxed and walked them through both the drills and lessons over the next few days. They quickly went from being a little scared of joining a class full of students with varied experience levels to requesting to attend class every day of the week. Of all the extracurricular activities they had tried, this was the one that ignited their passion the most. The professor, Tom Cronin, and the entire team of coaches do an excellent job of keeping the kids engaged by balancing expectations with both fun and recognition. They have a great sense of each student and how to motivate them to excel. They also steer clear of pitfalls we were warned of by friends who have children attending other academies, specifically promotions based on attendance as opposed to merit. At this gym, the children are evaluated on their skills and ability to execute the requisite moves. This encourages them to excel instead of just casually participating. Within 9 months they had developed enough confidence to compete and we were blown away at how well they performed against the competition from around the country. Most importantly, they had a coach prepare them the week before with one on one training and he was the one who attended the competition to coach both of them through all of their matches. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly for us, the academy doesn't just teach them BJJ, it reinforces core behaviors that we expect from our children - Respect, honor, and community. At the end of the day, we are all trying to raise the best humans we can and I can say with absolute confidence, that this academy is an integral part of that process for our children. I absolutely recommend Carlson Gracie, Temecula to anyone with any interest in Brazilian Jui-Jitsu.

i started the new years probably at the lowest point in my life after going through the worst year…read morei had ever experienced in 2025, but i told myself i truly wanted to learn fighting specifically muy thai, as i was already heavily into fitness and becoming a master of my body, i started a free trial on the second of January showed up and my body was crazy tense and i was incrediby uncordinated as ive never played a sport before, I just knew weight training. fast forward two months the level of my body cordination as well as muscularity in my body has blossomed ive never felt more powerful in my entire life, going here would boost my confidence to new levels i didnt even know existed for me as i was already a confident person, i even learned stretches i didnt even know existed and became a lot more well versed in using my whole body. Glutes, hamstrings, shoulders, and traps transformed going and training here, it transformed me like nothing else has in my life, if your on the fence or have never tried fighting in your life please just go, all the coaches are extremly friendly and understand excatly where to take you from a complete beginner, and nurture you into becoming a master, id like to say they have my upmost respect and praise as im doing very well in my life as of writing this, a complete 180 as to what i went through last year. I can't say enough on how Dan Henderson's gym improved my boys life. My boys went from timid,…read moreuncoordinated, scared of everything even a ball, very soft boys to Confident, motivated and strong boys. The gym affected every area in their life. They can play dodgeball and kickball which they couldn't before. They don't get bullied anymore and still are able to keep their kind and gentle demeanor. It wasn't easy at first they hated the gym the 1st, 5 months but I told them, they had to give it a year. Now they love the gym and they are so happy have the skills set. They are still white belts and will probably never be fighters but they are no longer cowards. The atmosphere is a close group who all are very kind, and patient, yet the best of the best fighters who are tough but humble. Love the coaches Joe, Sam, Trevor, Louie all of these guys do a great job encouraging these kids. If you have a kid who is weak, scared of a ball, completely uncoordinated, take them to Dan's give it a year make them go faithfully at least 2x a week to jujitsu or wrestling and they will make your child have confidence and courage. It will improve their future. Don't worry your kid won't become a jerk they stay humble. I can't thank the Dan's gym enough on how my boys improved.

This place is like the gym Average Joe's in the movie Dodge Ball (except not the good guys, just…read morethe average part). They have some great instructors, but unfortunately the members create an atmosphere of insecurity and fear. If you show up with any experience, confidence, or heaven forbid are good looking, in shape, and not religious, then you will be hated like you're a Globo Gym member. Not only will they hate you, they will begin to spread lies and rumors about you and give you dirty glances. We witnessed them allow a member to continuously cause trouble, disobey the rules of the mat, and disrespect other members of the gym and the instructors and manager never did anything until after 9 months of not paying his dues they finally kicked him out. This guy was over 6' tall, 270 pounds, tattoos on his face... he was intimidating. He was also a very poor sport, no sportsmanship and no regard for etiquette. He threw tantrums when he didn't get submissions in jiu jitsu, he was always challenging the upper ranked belts to prove himself, he tried to start physical altercations with professional fighters at fight night, he tried to start fights with my husband threatening him through text, and they even allowed this member's young son to accost little girls in jiu jitsu, making creepy comments to them, and bullying other members of all ages, much like his father. There is a heavy Christian influence pervading the place, which seems to encourage the negative behavior. They forgive the bully over and over which punishes the victims. That member was just one example of the culture at large. Be aware of the groups of women who are there every day who act like they own the place and bully around doing what they want without consequences, acting like their membership doesn't cost the same as yours. If you want to go back to high school but pay for it, then this is your spot.

I love the encouragement I feel from the trainers and other women in the gym, even if I don't know them, we are all supporting and empowering one another. Others only seemed to offer group karate lessons to the "masses" and I never felt like my child received any individual attention. With Z-Ultimate in Murrieta, Sensei Pierce offers Shaolin Kempo Karate and provides all his students with the basic understanding of all the animals: Tiger, Crane, Snake, Leopard, and Dragon which all have very different postures and focuses on a more traditional approach. There's always an uplifting and positive "quote of the week" listed on the board in the dojo, we're always greeted when entering, phone calls are always returned within the same day. Sensei Pierce has always been accommodating in rescheduling private sessions due to vacation schedules. The most important part is my son enjoys going. He's met a ton of new friends, he's more responsive and better behaved to helping out at home and over-all- a happier child. He's learning discipline and different self-defense techniques while enjoying it at the same time. ***Added side note--- The karate studio is located right next to a major grocery store, two Chinese restaurants, a Mexican restaurant, a subway, an Irish pub, etc. So you can always grab a boba drink and do some light grocery shopping for your night's dinner while your kids are doing karate. ;)

Family operated, Renche, Sheehan or sensei (Hope I spelled each of those correctly ) greet each family individually and are very professional and respectful people. These lessons will not only teach your children self defense (which they do) but also focus, control and respect. There is a stripe system in place for promotion testing but as far as I can tell it is also determine d based on child's ability and behavior as these are key to training. It appears to me the stripes are a tool for the instructors to gage where a child should be after a certain amount of time. I have seen some children qualify to test for their next belt early so the stripes are definitely not THE qualifier for this.
