I've had coffee from here a few times before and have always loved my drink - their seasonal items are Always fun. It was pretty full on a Friday morning but the line was short and moved quickly. I ended up mixing it up and getting a matcha latte which was flavored perfectly and not overly sweet. The space itself is so bright and open and in the coolest building with multiple other shops. You can enjoy your order at a table inside, walk around the various stores, or take it to go and hop around the area as so many new spots have opened up.

It appears as a small shop in the mix of a "Main Street" style line of buildings but once inside, it's spacious and cozy. Today there was a live performing artist playing and singing in the front of the shop. He was great! It added some really decent ambiance to the coffeehouse. I asked the baristas to make a flavored mocha they'd recommend. They served it up and it was delicious. A little nutty and a little sweet! It could have been just a touch hotter, but I'll know to request that next time. There were two baristas and they were both very pleasant and friendly even though they were a little swamped. I'd definitely go back and have another coffee here, and sit in one of the cushioned seats to enjoy the music if that were going on again!

My friend described the coziness of it as "your grandma's house". We got in line right in time because it filled up right after we ordered. They have tons of coffee and tea options as well as baked goods and hot food of the day items (quiche, frittata, etc). They also do beer and wine and had a solid tap selection. I had the dovetail latte and my friend had an iced vanilla latte and we both loved our coffees. They also have a small craft and trinket section from local sellers which was so cool and made the space feel so homey. It was so good we ended up doing back later that weekend as well. Best donuts ever…read more Stopped by just after 11 on a Saturday and there were a good number of donuts left, including their banana split donut! Get that. It's unique, it's amazing, and I happen to love bananas. The counter lady told us they have the best cream cheese frosting anywhere. We vote it second best, and that's a really high compliment from my crew. Everything was SO good. Everything. I think I tried 4 types of pastries.

I hate custard - but this custard was light and creamy and zero greasy after taste. I will think of these donuts for the rest of my life and all others will fall short.

But after a week of drinking his coffee, we are admittedly bias about the guy. To be clear, we've never met the man we are just punch drunk after a week of bliss and this was on DECAF!! I can't wait to see what the regular tastes like! I had a can of his decaf for over a year now but I'm not a decaf drinker, so it just sat in the cupboard until this week. Almanac's Decaf is better than most regular coffees I've had....I may end up reducing my caffeine intake because I prefer the taste over most coffees I've had. I understand taste us subjective, for reference I'm a Nina's and Amore, in St. Paul, as well as a Spyhouse and Five Watt Minneapolis guy, if that helps. Just ordered 2.5lbs of decaf, some regular Honduras, and a sampler pack. I've never 'ordered' coffee online before, but I absolutely have to have more of this decaf, it's that good! If you're looking for an amazing decaf I can definitely recommend Almanac's Decaf....the only negative was not trying it a year ago. Cheers!
