Mikey made the yummiest drinks and was so fun to talk to, such great energy! The experience started with a relaxing wash, followed by my choice of hairstyle. The whole service took about an hour, but I honestly didn't even notice the time because I was so relaxed. My hair came out beautiful, soft, and held up perfectly in the humidity. Moses was so great- he shampooed my hair and really took his time. And then kept the length on my hair but added long layers and curtain bangs. He ended with styling my hair and I felt so pretty afterwards! The whole process took an hour. He was really friendly and told me some of his favorite spots in Oahu. I was having a bit of life crisis, and asked her to wack off all my shoulder length hair. She gave me a spiky pixie which was exactly what I needed! I looked great! This week, I made an appointment for me and my partner to get our hair cut. RoseMary's wee shop which is located in the Sheraton's parking structure doesn't have a lot of space but unlike other hair salons, it's completely clean with no stray hairs and dust anywhere. Her supplies are all neatly stored. It's quite impressive for such a small space. RoseMary cut my partner's hair first. He's growing out a crew cut and hasn't used a comb in so long, he's forgotten how! She cleaned up his edges, and showed me how he should comb his hair. RoseMary and he chatted non-stop during the cut. She looked at me, and asked me if I liked a spiky look or a more sleek look. From that question, I knew that she knew I wanted a bit neater cut. She cleaned me up, and showed me how to use my cowlick to add height. I'm very impressed with her skills as an artisan as well as in business (talk to her, and you'll get it!). She's going to be my family's Honolulu hairdresser.
