I filled out the appointment request through their website on a Wednesday. The website says to allow for 3 days for a response. I hadn't heard back by Sunday, so I called multiple times; 11PM, 8AM, and 9AM. Finally at 9AM I was able to book an appointment for the following day, Monday, at 6PM, although I wanted to book later. I showed my nail tech my inspo picture and she was able to recreate it perfectly! She gave her feedback around the colors I should use. I didn't know/it wasn't discussed there was an extra charge for using multiple colors ($15). My new gel set was $48 + $25 for design + $15 for color (1-2 colors)= $88. Such a deal compared to prices in Arizona ($100+). A different nail tech completed my pedicure separately. The seat wasn't particularly comfortable or glamorous- it was a pillow atop a hard bench, and the sink was actually a kitchen-looking sink. Nonetheless, my chrome pedicure came out great. Deluxe pedi $67 + $10 chrome + $20 Gel polish = $97. This felt more expensive than Arizona ($70-80). I wore my mani for a month, and the pedi for about 5 weeks; neither chipped. I was shocked that when I had my manicure removed, my nails were strong and healthy underneath! Typically they're as brittle as paper after having gel/removed. I wish we had them in Arizona!!

Pedicure in Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. It must have been an unusual day. I called one salon and they were booked. I called another one - they didn't answer, so I drove over. They had a leaking ceiling and no power. I called Pure Nails & Beauty... they could take me now! Yay! Located inside of Don Quijote (near the entrance, on the right - just past security), there's free, shared parking in the lot out front and more across the street. I was asked to pick a color and have a seat. The water was drawn up in the stainless steel basin already. I held onto the handrail and stepped up, sat down, and soaked my feet... ahhh! The entire process was smooth and efficient! The older woman was pleasant and gentle. She cut off all of the dead skin and cuticles for the basic service ($50 plus tax and tip) and added polish and a massage! Thank you for the convenience! Note: they're open until midnight!

Recommend making a reservation unless you're willing to wait. Service, quality and vibe exceeded my expectations. The nail technicians took care of my cuticles, dead skin, massage on my hands and feet were the best I've had in a long time. For a cozy environment the type of services offered commanded organization and it was nice, fresh and inviting. I'll be back when we return to the islands for a visit.

Im not exaggerating when I say my cuticles ALWAYS bleed when I get my nails done and I thought I just had super sensitive cuticles but he did such a good job and I didn't bleed or have any pain at all! He also gave me a hand and forearm massage which I didn't know was included and a hot towel. The most amazing experience and very well priced too. They made sure to let me know that french and chrome powder would be extra and wanted to make sure I knew so I wasn't surprised at the charge. I love the transparency instead of trying to upsell me. I would go to them everytime if I lived here but sadly I live on the mainland. There is free parking in the back which was amazing.

Here at Ohana Glow Nails it got exactly that and it's located right across the Hawai'i Convention Center and with free parking it's a total package which they also have here as well. I chose to get a pedicure as my feet is finally starting to heal and look somewhat presentable after many medical issues it's been years since my last and thought today is the day and what a great decision the massage here is wonderful as Tammy really took the time and added some much needed pressure. With with five types of pedicure to choose from with prices starting at $36 I chose the deluxe which is $56 which does include massage, paraffin wax and more they have with six massage chairs available it's great that you can enjoy services with your friends as well. I really love my technician, Hitomi--she is so gentle and sweet, and I always feel so relaxed during my appointments. I cannot stop staring at my nails every time I get them done! Chiru is also an amazing technician who is incredibly meticulous and detailed in her work. You can really tell they both take their time to ensure perfection! I also love their monthly specials because I'm not the most creative person when it comes to nail designs, but if you come in with a vision, they can create beautiful, intricate designs as well. Plus, their prices are very reasonable, especially for Hawaii! I even built three cabinets, and my nails still looked perfect--no chips, no damage! That really says a lot about the quality of their work. I am seriously so amazed! I'm so happy I found them--Salon Cherie is truly the best nail salon on the island!

DO NOT COME HERE! Hitomi is the worst nail tech I've ever dealt with, and her attitude made…read moreeverything even worse. But putting the attitude aside for a moment--here's what actually happened. She nipped the skin on two of my right-hand fingers. When I mentioned it, instead of being careful, she got lazy and didn't even clean the cuticles properly on my left hand. She admitted she skipped them because I "complained" - of course I spoke up, it hurt. And through all of this, she never apologized. Not once. Then she burned one of my nails with the curing light because she left my hand under it too long. My finger and entire hand hurt for the rest of the day. After all of that, the gel manicure still came out terrible, with messy, uncleaned cuticles. What shocked me the most was that she didn't offer a single apology at any point--not for the nicks, not for the burn, not for the poor work, nothing. I've genuinely never encountered someone this rude in a service setting. Earlier, I wondered why the person before me looked upset--now I understand. Despite all of this, I still tipped 18% out of habit, which I regret. I usually tip 25%, but honestly, this experience didn't deserve anything. In my opinion, do not come here--and if you do, at least avoid seeing her.

I cannot stop staring at my nails! They are SO cute and fun and funky and pretty and...ok I'll…read morestop. Just look at my picture! Let me preface by saying that I am not a nail kinda girl. I think I've only had 2 manicures in my life, and one time I got tricked into getting acrylics, which was one of the worst things I have ever experienced (my nails and I were seriously traumatized by it). That said, I immediately snapped out of my nail PTSD when I stumbled across Japanese 3D nail art while planning for my Hawaii vacation. I called and booked an appointment with Adrienne before I left California. I didn't have trouble finding the building (Avance Salon behind the Ala Moana Shopping Center), and was really excited to have her work on my nails. Reasons why Adrienne kicks ass: 1. She's SUPER sweet and friendly and cute and bad ass. Did you know she snowboarded professionally in Japan?! AND does awesome nails?! That's pretty cool. 2. She's amazing at what she does. I was worried about any drills near my fingertips and she assured me it wasn't necessary. No drills, just a little filing with a stick-thing and then off to work! She was extremely patient while I hummed and hawed about what to get. Also, she told me that it would only take 1 hour for everything and she was really done in one hour (didn't cut much into vacation time!). The Calgel doesn't smell terrible like acetone or acrylic stuff either. Her designs are superb and she is so detail oriented. 3. Price was totally fair. I was expecting an arm and a leg because I was Yelping similar services in the LA area and was about to have a heart attack at some of the charges ($100-$200?! Ouch!). She charged around $63 including tax. Sweet! I wish I had more fingers for her to work on because it sucks living in the San Francisco Bay Area and not being able to go back every few weeks to have Adrienne work her magic :( I can't express enough just how satisfied I am with her service and professionalism. Everyone adores my nails! Adrienne, move to California PLEASE!!! :)

First got gel nails done in Vegas a month ago and I wondered where I in Honolulu would I find a…read moreprofessional to do the same caliber of work? Thankfully for Yelp and the women who shared their Adrienne Nails experience - I found someone wonderful to make my nails strong and of course create beautiful artwork. Adrienne is a gem and does her work consciously, yet is very quick. My nails are very weak and as soon as they gain a little length, they crack and chip. I'm not a fan of acrylics as I've experienced mold growth underneath - so gel nails are my answer - an overlay of gel over my natural nail. Adrienne is also able to rebuild or create a gel extension on one very short, short nail. It was like magic - grow a nail! She also repaired a chipped nail to make my natural nail stronger. Thank you Adrienne, I'll be back! By the way, Adrienne has moved to Avance Salon (the building next to Bright Smile) or right above Pho One Vietnamese Restaurant & Wholesale Travel which is on Kapiolani between Mahukona/Kaheka & Atkinson Streets. 1617 Kapiolani Blvd, Suite 203A. Parking is on the second floor in Avance Salon stalls only.
