I wish you could rate less than 1 star. The mitigation was done well, ever since we have had nothing but issues. The work that was done was so awful-put warped wood back onto the doorframe and step and refuse to fix it, the wall repair has huge gouges in it and they want to charge for all of this which was supposed to be repaired. The site manager Dominic I have had to work with has been nothing but rude-texts, voice mails, phone calls and I have asked 10 plus times to him and called the office for a supervisor to call me-no one ever calls. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and hope the owner of this company is made aware of how customers are being treated. We will need to hire another company at this point to pay for the damage they have left. I wish I would have read all of these reviews before having them in my home. read more

Horrible and slow service and tactless employees. They were quick to jump on the damages to get their people in my house to start the clean-up and estimate but slow to finish the job or manage the completion of the job. It was too good to be true. They made me feel at ease with the initial phone screening and getting me to work with them but once the contract was signed, I had the worst experience in this cold MN weather and can't even live within my own home with running water or heat. If anything, they should be out of business taking advantage of customers like me and my insurance company because I have been suffering for weeks without access to a proper home when they guaranteed everything would be completed in a couple of days. read more

Hired 24 Restore and regret it. Bad service, poor communication. Recommend not using this company.

Be weary if your Insurance company chooses 24Restore to do your "work". My exeperience with them is graded at D+. My first issue is they provide a line item estimate indicating everything they claim they are going to do (which technically is turned into Insurance). Problem is, when it's over and done, they actually don't do all the line item things. I had two major items that were never completed, and when I questioned it, at least for one of the items I was asked "How do you think we're supposed to do that?". Then why is it a line item of work? Second, they missed at least THREE major deadlines. My 6 week restore project took FIVE months. There is very poor communication, and it wasn't uncommon to go days or weeks without anyone showing up to do anything. In fact you need to keep on your toes and keep calling them to figure out what is going on. And if you start to complain, they hang up on you. They apparently have other clients that will be more important than you. But they do provide great Lip Service. They tell you a lot of things, but they just don't happen. One specific event that was promised during our final walk thru was to have a professional cleaning service come out (that was a line item also), but it never happened. (I'm writing this 9 weeks past). Lip Service: if it isn't documented, it must have never happened. During our final walk thru, I brought up some of these issues again. One such item was the missed deadlines ("it wasn't their fault our basement flooded"), which has nothing to do with deadlines. But we were verbally told by the PM that they have a policy that allows a refund for missing deadlines. Remember, they missed THREE. So I deducted that from my final bill. Now they're harassing me for that. This is where documentation comes in. Lip Service: Apparently they don't support or back their own people who verbally tell us what they will take care of. Back in the good old days, a persons' word was all you needed. On a somewhat positive note, they did come and redo the terribly poor quality initial work, though they acted like they were doing US a favor. Bottom line, stay away from this company. They're bottom line goal is collecting money, NOT servicing the customer. read more

Initial cleanup went well. They no-showed without notice on the reconstruction estimate appointment 4 weeks ago and haven't followed through on two messages we've left with them since. Our kitchen is torn apart and they're MIA. On the positive side, the billing department is right on top of things. They want they're money. read more

My home flooded from a broken pipe January 11, 2022. I was not able to live in my home for the next five months. The 24Restore mitigation team came in and did an excellent job of cleaning up from the flood. That is where anything good about 24Restore ends. I requested an estimate for restoration. Jason Bates, project manager came and told me they don't do estimates. Said he was told not to leave the premises without a signed contract. The mitigation team had done such a good job, so I signed having every intention of canceling if other estimates brought theirs into question. Work proceeded finally in mid-April. I was NEVER advised when someone was going to be on site-even though Bates had PROMISED that I would be contacted the day before. Work didn't last long as Bates had ordered the wrong carpeting. He lied profusely hat he was right, offered a discount to keep his. I refused and work was delayed another two weeks. Nothing to expedite the work and my insurance was running out. Supposedly there was a project manager assigned so that work would be completed in the proper order. It was not. For example, the carpet layer arrived, but none of the furniture had been moved yet. I was told me that the work areas not being properly prepped was the norm. I had get others to move my furniture back in, those who were supposed to arrived a date LATE. They left my front door hanging wide open. ince May 26th I have had to fight their charges as there was close to $5000 of work billed that was never done. Nor have they ever come back to correct their poor workmanship, of which pictures of everything were provided. If there had been competent project manager, what ensued would never have happened, as he knew what was or was not done. The operations manager came to my home, completely unprepared. He advised he was there to "help" me understand and pick up a check. He got no check. His final words were "GOOD RIDDANCE"! I have been constantly dunned for money. Accused of fraud. Been insulted by the AR girl, Kristie Nelson and never any apology for what they have put me through and the attempted fraud they tried to pull off. read more

One of your drivers was heading West on 694 before intersecting with White Bear Avenue in Maplewood. He rode my bumper in the left lane for about two miles. I was driving as fast as I could without tailgating the person in front of me. As soon as we cleared the 16 wheeler in the right lane, your driver screamed past in the right lane going at least 85-90 miles an hour! He then proceeded to nearly cause a nasty accident when he barely missed hitting the car he was approaching in the right lane and the car he was trying to pass in the left lane! Unbelievably stupid and dangerous driving!!! I will never use your business or recommend you to anyone. read more

Our kitchen is been out of commission for almost a year (June 2021). We recently got our floors and cabinets in at the beginning of this year 2022. The cabinets were measured incorrectly!!! And I honestly hate the cabinets, we lost storage due to the measuring. Need a Smaller sink because of the measurements and need new counter tops as well. The countertops were a bit damaged from being torn off the cabinets, so we needed to fill out a form for that, I feel the company needs to pay it. Not my insurance because of the measuring. They also fired our first project manager and I believe we've had two since then. They failed to tell us they fired our first one.. Never came back to remeasure. We have called this company numerous of times without a call back and still have yet to get ahold of them. We hand delivered the first check to the office and somehow they LOST it. Our trimming in the kitchen doesn't match the color of the siding on the walls. They missed an entire wall completely for trimming. They cut a wall out from behind our washer and dryer due to mold.. Months ago.. Haven't fixed it yet. We told our recently project manager who had NO IDEA about this cut in the wall.. Yet the person said they proved it. They were going to have us pay for the labor and fixing the wall that they proved. The floor was cut incorrectly by an air exchange, it needs to be cut again and you can see the sub flooring in places. Most of the things they have placed looks unprofessional or incorrect. I could go on and on about more issues I've had with my kitchen due to this company. We have been very patient with them throughout this pandemic and understand it is hard to find workers and supply is hard to get as well.. But this has gone on for too long. When we do talk to someone from the company, they say our project manager will call back and we explained our frustrations. It just doesn't seem to matter to them. I will never recommend them and I will never use Genz-Ryan ever again since they recommended 24 Restore to me. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They are the most unreliable and unprofessional company that I've ever come across. They never showed up, never pulled permits and they didn't pay the subcontractors who then vandalized our house. They won't answer or return our phone calls so we had nobody to discuss the issues we were having with them too. In 11 months they only did the demo, cleanup, exterior framing and the roof and some of the siding. All the while making promises but never delivering. read more

They were very good about coming out quickly and setting up many dryers in our house after we had significant water damage in our kitchen and basement. However, for the next 2 weeks their communication and customer service was poor at best. They would come to our house unannounced and enter without even letting us know that they were there. The project manager communicated with us twice in 2+ weeks. We ended up having to terminate the contract with them due to such poor service and communication. read more

Came out quickly to deal with water damage. After initial contract was signed, communication was poor- and they showed up with limited notice on two occasions, and required signing of additional documents by Docusign while I was at work to complete the mitigation work (and the documents sent were clearly wrong and were liability waivers that indicated I was refusing to do the very work I was agreeing to have them complete). Mitigation workers destroyed and removed brand-new waterproof vinyl flooring I had just installed despite my asking them NOT to remove it. Accounts receivable ignored my requests to settle this charge for the flooring and kept sending me bills despite my proven damages. read more

DRAKE HOLLEY has been an awesome claims coordinator. He is very thorough, and that's what we need! Dealing with insurance companies is not for the faint of heart! The average home owner has no skills in this area! Grateful for Drake and the entire team. 24Restore is professional, organized, thorough. Anecdote: was looking for a phone number I couldn't find. Called the main number after hours. They looked it up on the computer, because Drake had made note of it. Could have been a long slow process, but because they are so efficient, and because Drake crossed the t's and dotted the i's, it was super simple. yay! read more

BE CAREFUL Inspect their price list thoroughly, ask a ton of questions and get a written quote. It's an incredible range of pricing for their services. For example: A Service Call charge just to visit the property is $175-$370 during regular business hours. After hours is over $400 per Drake. Could be $175 or more than twice that amount just to truck over there. Jose and Mario did great mitigation work. Had all the carpet torn out and fans in place in an hour or two. They don't really want to say how much things will cost because they honestly don't know where in that range the office will charge. Carpet and Pad removal are $0.66-$1.80 & $0.61-$1.75 per square foot respectively. That's a rate factor of 1-3 times the amount per square foot to cut out and remove your wet carpet. That means a 10'x15' family room might cost you $100 or over $300, for each the carpet and the pad, so anywhere between $200-$600+ just for tear out in 1 room. Not to mention the fans and dehumidifiers charge per day, set up and tear down, removal of trim, baseboard, drywall, and the cleaning of their machines at their shop later too. Then they charge for a floor spray, disposal of removed materials, etc... The worst part is, they won't tell you how much everything is within that range until after the work is done and they invoice you. Be prepared for what you thought might be a $1000 job to be a $3000+ invoice. The other monitoring team Fredi and Luigi? (I'm sorry I forgot his name) were good as well. Efficient and courteous. There really just needs to be more transparency as to what exactly each service costs. I was blind sided with a $5000+ invoice & I was guessing, per casual conversation with Jose, it would be $1500-$2000. Some people don't care, if their insurance covers it so that's how they get away with it. Those of you with low or no insurance coverage, BEWARE. read more

WARNING AVOID!! 24 Restore has been an absolute nightmare. Fire damage in August and still waiting for kitchen to be restored in December, have endured out right lies throughout the process, phone calls not returned, project abandoned for weeks at a time, it is now December and the wind is still blowing through open windows, cabinets are not installed. Every so called deadline for the work and "project calendar" have been pure fiction. Project manager either quit or was fired recently, and still we wait. Warning to anyone whose insurance agent suggests signing over an entire restoration project to this company; you will be at their mercy without recourse and left hanging. read more

We hired 24Restore to fix a leak in an upstairs bathroom. At first, they were quick to respond to the problem and identify the source. However, all subsequent work was frequently delayed, there was unexpected staff turnover causing more delays, and there was poor planning and poor and communication throughout the project. A project that was supposed to take a couple of weeks ended up taking more than four months. I am familiar with home repair projects and understand that not every aspect will go smoothly, but my experience with 24Restore was so far beyond what anyone would tolerate. My recommendation is to avoid working with this company at all costs. read more

24 Restore is horrible company to work with. Jason Bate was my project manager. He made a lot of false promises with working with my insurance company. Our basement flooded the clean up crew was so helpfully and came out right away. Once Jason arrive to our house and "claim" they will work with my insurance agency on payment. (the was the main reason why we signed with 24restore) Don't believe anything he say. I had to do all the leg work on getting everything needed for insurance to release funds.. My project been completed for months and still missing documentation for the final check to be release. We all know working with insurance can take a long time for payment to be release. Now 24 restore is trying to proceed with legal action since my insurance agency haven't release the final payment. Kristi in AR been rude. She expect me to pay when the insurance haven't issue a payment. All around bad service. RUN RUN RUN!!! I would NOT recommend using there services. read more

I do not recommend this company at all! They have been a nightmare! They deserve a minus 100!! They did horrible work in my home! I don't think anyone in the company knows what they are doing except ripping customers off! I received the bill by mail with no instructions to pay by check online. You are charged a fee paying online, and a late fee if paid past the due date. One of my bills arrived by mail 3 days before the due date! My late fee would have been $600 -- 10% of the $6000 bill, which I only avoided by giving the check to the 24 Restore worker. Or, pay online with a card and that charge was around $100 just to pay online by card! When I called their main number, I was told the only person that could help pay by check online was Kristi in accounting. But the other staff could take my card information by phone! Doesn't make any sense!! I can totally relate to the nightmares with 24 Restore from reading several of these reviews! read more

Water damage in your home? Look no further than 24 restore! The name matches the service, that's for sure. I have an upstairs utility room and noticed some water damage on my main level. 24 restore not only came same day, but within a matter of hours. They immediately came up with a restore plan and began the work. Second crew came the same day I called to begin the restore process. Everyone I have dealt with at this company has been a great experience from the field techs, to the office and project manager. Once you see the execution start taking place so quick, you know you're in good hands. They sent the right people, used the right equipment and did an excellent job. They sent someone out on a daily basis to check the restore process and dryness. Once complete, everything was packed up and on we go with the restore process. If water damage has you down, leave the repair up to these guys. It's take a tremendous amount of teamwork to run a company this way but the experience has really been excellent. The best part of the problem going away so quickly, they just took care of everything from the water damage, replacing the floor and ceiling without me having to call anyone else. Great company & a great team to deal with. read more

Water damage and more damages were done by 24Restore than water. They busted up tile around the fireplace and wrecked our front door and trim. They started the equipment for drying and it was very clear that they had to rip out our sheetrock. Would not do it till we told them to over and over. Told them to leave the historical wood floors. They took out the wood floors caused 5,000 dollars worth of damage. Put pictures off the wall and place them on our couch and it ripped it. They would not respond to emails or phone calls. He cleaned the floors until they were spotless and hooked up all of the fans and dehumidifiers in record time. We can't thank you enough Jose! read more

If there was an option for zero stars, I would have picked it. 24Restore was recommended to our business by our insurance agent after a vehicle ran into an apartment building we own on May 5, 2017. The timeline of the repairs provided to us by 24Restore put a target completion date of July 2017. The work was not completed until April of 2018. Their employees would show up for an hour at a time, if they showed up at all. It took 7 months (yes, that is roughly 200 days) for them to hire a mason to do the brick work on the exterior of the building. When the brick work was finally done, the color chosen was such a poor match to the existing brick work we're going to be forced to plant a row of bushes to mask it. Our own staff ended up doing all of the plumbing and electrical work because the 24Restore employees (the very employees sent to do such work) weren't licensed to do either. The only efficiency demonstrated by 24Restore is in their accounts receivable department. Throughout this entire process we were receiving calls asking for payment for work that had not been done. They were demanding final payment before generating a final invoice. I'm not sure if this process has been more of a joke or a headache. 24Restore... more like 365Restore. read more

Our dishwasher was leaking and damaged our kitchen. 24 Restore was quick to come in and dry the place out, as well as with demolition. The issue started after this when it took months to get construction started. Our project manager, Josh, did not communicate with us and was lackadaisical about scheduling work. When work was scheduled, it often didn't happen and we received NO communication that hings needed to be rescheduled. We would come home expecting scheduled work to be done and it wasn't. Much of our work was subcontracted and work was done poorly. We paid to have new cabinets installed and we ended up having to put the cabinet doors on ourselves because the subcontractor said it was not in his scope of work. There are gaps in our floors due to miscommunication between the flooring people and trim people and we have contacted both Josh and the 24 Restore office to get this fixed. It was acknowledged and they said it would be fixed, however twice they have not shown up and they have stopped returning our calls. The list of poor quality work and lack of communication goes on. When you are displaced from your home it is difficult enough as it is, but lack of communication and a poor attitude from someone who is supposed to be guiding you through the process is extremely disheartening and frustrating. read more

They were recomended to me by my insurance company. Initially they seemed great. Friendly and explained the process well. I am new to owning a house and they made me feel comfortable. The rest was a mess. I had to get a mitigation done which went okay. It was done in a timely manner but could have done a cleaner job. The restore part was terrible. It took over 4 months to finish a maybe 10by 5 foot area. I was supposed to get three rooms done and thank god I didnt. There was a complete lack of communication, they almost never showed up when they said they would. Then all said and done what took 4 plus months was not done well. My window frame was put on crooked and damaged. Curtains and light fixture was damaged and never fixed or replaced. I just gave up asking for then to fix it because I was made to feel that i was the annoying one. I would recomend going with a different company. read more

I had a pipe burst in my basement. The mitigation team was great but when it came to restoration this was an absolute nightmare!! The very first day they didn't call and didn't show up. I had a friend take the day off work to be there when they got there and ... nothing. When they finally did show up the contractors were so incompetent they couldn't figure out even the simplest repairs. I had a green dumpster bag in my yard for personal use and they threw all of their drywall and construction scraps in here so in addition to the STEEEP outrageous price tag now I'm paying for their haul away too? No... it was 1 week and they showed up 3 times and only worked one day. 3x no call no show. They left iced tea bottles in my lawn and empty Gatorade bottles on the floor in the basement. ICING ON THE CAKE: THEY HUNG THE WRONG SIZE SHEETROCK!! Then charged me for their "time" and "work". What about my time and work? I had to take down the wrong Sheetrock they put up and go buy and rehang the right size! This place is ok for mitigation but steer clear for restoration!!! What a joke! I actually feel bad for the employees that do good work in this company to have to be associated with this horrible service. read more

Late Aug, 2019, Ihad a leak in my master bath that damaged the vanity and the dry wall . It took 24 Restore over a week to remove the vaniety and dry out the area. While removing the vaniety, I heard a crash. One of the workmen broke a vase in another room and neglected to report it. Two weeks later, a workman came out to repair the dry wall. He claimed he needed to remove to toilet. For almost 3 months, we had no vanity and the toilet sat blocking the closet. In the middle of the job, the job manager either quit or was fired. The new person in charge told us we were responsible for getting the vaniety and finding a plumber to reinstall the toilet 24 Restore removed. I left a VM with the company manager. Although he never returned my call, he did send someone out to reinstall the toilet. I had to hire a different company to install a new vanity and do the plumbing. I received a bill indicating I owed 24 Restore for this work. More time wasted with this company.
