While the kitchen, living room, and bathroom #2 may have been cleaned it was poorly done as there is still debris visible on the floors (hair, carrot, tracks from trash can, etc). I thought my house was outside of the hail damage area, but another neighbor 6 blocks from me had turned in a successful claim for hail damage from that storm. To my untrained eye, I saw no damage on my roof whatsoever, but thought it might be a good idea to have someone inspect my roof just in case. I am very glad I worked with Brandon Turner, and I was greatly impressed with him and All Around. First off, Brandon spent over an hour inspecting and documenting my entire roof. Then he took the time to show me and explain to me what he had found (and there was a lot). I couldn't believe the amount of damage that I had missed, but that Brandon saw clearly and properly documented. Unlike many other roofing vendors, he wasn't pushy at all but just the opposite. He was patient with me, he took the time to explain things to me, and then let me make the decision of what was the right decision for me. I was very impressed with the level of detail he took to document the damage done to my roof. I then turned it in as a claim to my insurance company and Brandon and All Around took care of everything else! Brandon and All Around did all the work and communications with my insurance company. Then they installed a high quality and great looking roof with the extras we wanted (vented roof-cap, lifetime shingles, etc.). Also impressive was how fast they got the roof installed once they started working on it. The roof looks great! Brandon was very responsive, and either picked up on the first ring when I called him, or returned my call within an hour if I ever hit his voice mail. I ended up getting an entire new roof, 100% paid by insurance (less my deductible). All Around did all the negotiating with the insurance company. I also paid no up charges, no hidden fees, no junk fees, etc. at all by All Around. They did what they said they were going to do, for the price agreed upon, and they did a great job of it. They also did an EXCELLENT job cleaning up afterward (better than I had expected). I was so happy with my roof that I referred my mother-in-law to Brandon and All Around and they did her roof. Now she rants and raves about how nice her roof looks and how nice a guy Brandon is. Historically, price transparency was something they were willing to provide. Unfortunately, something has changed. Most recently, we were quoted $30-35K for a relatively straightforward mudroom remodel and back door installation. When the formal bid came in at a single lump sum number over $40K with some modest scope additions, we asked for additional transparency into that singular number to understand how much each part of the project was costing so we could determine where adjustments could be made. We were told that a further breakdown of the lump sum would not be provided. Over the next two weeks, we removed multiple significant items from the project scope, yet the total price barely changed in response. We asked repeatedly for greater transparency to understand what was still comprising the lump sum price we were being quoted and never received it. At a certain point, the math just did not add up, and it became increasingly difficult to reconcile the number we were being quoted by Plekkenpol with the project scope. When we expressed frustration with the lack of clarity, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. We were told that regardless of project size--even on significantly larger projects--additional price transparency would not be shared and that we should trust them that we are getting the best price. To be clear, this was not about the money--it was about transparency and partnership. We simply wanted to know what we were being charged for. Because Plekkenpol would not tell us how they arrived at their lump sum price, we ultimately chose to end our long-standing relationship and move on. We recently recommended to another family that they consider Plekkenpol, but after this experience, feel obligated to advise them not to proceed due to Plekkenpol's unwillingness to provide transparency in pricing.

I was told several times the job was sufficient but…read morewhen I finally got a second person to come look at the gutter that was falling off after 3 months, I had him look at the windows. He said they looked like they were "wrapped by my 4 year old grandkid." There was a leak on my porch roof twice during and right after construction and was told to move the A/C out of that window. They had me work with a door installer who told me box store doors were cheap and he doesn't install them but when it came time to install the door they gave me a cheap one from Menards that wouldn't lock. The person who installed it told me to go buy a new spring and lock for it. They left the siding around the door cut unevenly and unpainted and said they would come back for that and to install a new lock. I gave up on arguing over the cheap door. They never came back. They left garbage on my lawn twice and killed a bunch of my plants that never grew back. I got one B.S. line after another. They did fix some things after I pushed but didn't follow through on the rest. Really disappointed.
