Since they are now doing construction for the new building, I figured this would be one of my last opportunities to see a show in the old theater. It was easy to buy the tickets on Ticketmaster. The shows rotate every couple of months. Right now mean girls is the play for most of the summer. The price includes the play buffet and regular fountain drinks. Any specialty drinks or alcohol alcoholic beverages cost extra. Arrival was easy I didn't have physical tickets, but when I gave my name at the front table, they were easily able to locate my reservation. If you have a small group, you will be seated with the strangers that you can make friends with.. It is a very unique place because all of the staff are also the actors. So you will have to place any orders you want at intermission early because they don't have much time since they have to prepare for the second act. Overall, the show was very entertaining. You can tell there is a need for a new theater due to the age of this one, but it was still quaint. I do recommend that you tip based on the original ticket price and not just on the drinks that you get. Speaking of drinks, the prices are very reasonable. If you get the signature show drink you also get to keep the souvenir cup. For this show, it was a cream sickle that you could either get with alcohol or without. I think it was only 1250 for the cocktail that included the souvenir cup. I think I will try to make one more show this year. I know my dad would probably love it so I plan on bringing him before the summer is done.

It's pretty good, but it was was more warm than hot when brought out to us. They're trying to feed a lot of people on a kind of stagless schedule, so it's obvious that each dish is prepared pretty far in advance and probably sitting under a heat lamp somewhere waiting to come out. The lasagna came with a couple of very nice dinner rolls and was pretty tasty. The salmon was very well done and came with some roasted potatoes. Also pretty good. There was a risotto dish that wasn't bad but wasn't great just okay. Everyone also gets a small very basic salad. For dessert they had a very nice Bundt cake, some strawberry cheesecake, and Pondoro. All were very good. Now, for the show itself. I have been to many Community Theaters and I don't think I've ever seen Talent like this one before. They really were top notch. Very talented group. The actual building itself is a little rundown, especially the carpeting. I would definitely recommend this to other people. It's a high quality show with pretty good food recognizing the limits of what they can do with the number of people with their serving on a stagwood schedule. The service was friendly throughout

An Alexandria native, Brookes grew up playing a variety of games on Super Nintendo and other various consoles throughout the 1990s. Bauer is originally from Pittsburgh and spent many days playing "NHL Hockey" on his Sega Genesis. Fast forward to the 2020s: Brookes' friend Jeff Yates Jr. asked if him he had any ideas for an empty warehouse space that he owned. Brookes envisioned turning the space into an arcade and restaurant, and reflected back on his childhood when arcades offered an escape for children seeking community, friends, and family through games. Brookes partnered with Bauer to make the dream a reality. Chefs Brian Lacayo and Spike Mendelsohn were hired to handle the kitchen duties. Continues features more than 60 vintage arcade games and the kitchen offers menus for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. My family and I recently had brunch at the Continues while we were on an East Coast Road Trip. We met up with some family friends of ours that live in the Alexandria area. We absolutely loved the vibe at Continues. In addition to classic arcade cabinets, pinball machines, racing games, skee-ball, and rail shooter games, they also have TVs that are hooked up to gaming consoles. We first grabbed a table and looked over the brunch menu. For drinks, I had the "Espresso Tonic" (espresso, tonic water, lemon bitters) and my wife had a "Pineapple Commodore-Mosa". For food, I had the "Saturday Morning" (2 eggs, 2 strips of crispy bacon, chicken sausage, rye toast), my wife had the "Waffles of Warcraft" (w/ house whipped cream, cream garnish, & fresh berries), our older son had the "Bowser's Benedicts" (poached eggs on salty ham atop a fluffy and crusty croissant, covered in house-made hollandaise, served w/ tater tots), and our younger son had the "Chicken Tenders" (served w/ fries) and a "Butter Croissant". Everything was perfectly plated and delicious! After our meal, we bought some tokens and set out to play some games. We had so much fun sampling all of the various games but we probably had the most fun playing together on "Pac-Man Battle Royale", which is always a blast for our family of four. Overall, we had a memorable experience at Continues Arcade and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Alexandria area.

The bar is fairly small and that can fill up too during peak hours, so making a reservation a few days beforehand is the best. I like to order their veggie burger, buffalo chicken wings, chicken tenders, or steak frites. The salad that comes with the steak frites has an amazing, lite dressing that I wish I knew how to make. The food has always been great and the service is extremely attentive. Within the last couple of months they've added mocktails to their bar menu which is great if you're sober or under 21 and want something more than water, lemonade (which is good there!), or a non-alcoholic beer. A pro move is to order the arcade tokens with your meal so you can close out your tab all at once. I love playing their pinball machines after the meal as a fun way to end the night. They've also got two skee ball lanes, two racing games, and a few shooters. A lot of it is nostalgic and great for kids and adults alike. It should be noted they have some "adult swim" nights where customers under 21 are not allowed. However, those typically don't start until 8 PM. They'll post these nights ahead of time on their website, social media, and front door. I've never had a bad meal, bad service, bad drink, or bad time in the arcade area. The only negative experience to note was the TV sound volume during the World Cup third place match. It was almost deafeningly loud, and pretty safe to say everyone knew it including the staff due to how everyone had to almost yell to be heard. I guess it was so kitchen and backroom staff could hear. The TV volume or music has never been that loud on any other visit, so I write it off as a one-off.

Once on the compound, it was difficult to miss; large glass doors and walls with the humongous crest on the front of the building. We decided to do a walk in tasting and were lucky enough to have Jonathon be our guide to all the outstanding spirits made at the distillery. Jonathon was extremely knowledgeable about the distillery's history, products, and merch. Jonathon's passion for the distillery was continually on display, and he kept the spirits light with his unique brand of humor. Be mindful that the tasting room was packed, so I also recommend making a reservation to ensure you can enjoy the experience. The options for the tasting were the clear or amber flight options. The clear choices being some of the steeped fruit and tea liquors, served with mixers for their signature cocktails. These drinks were what the distillery was most known for. The ambers were their more recent whiskey offerings, consisting of differing ageing and steeping techniques, to create their very different spirit flavors and textures. Jonathon was able to give us the history of each spirit, as well as provide mixing options, if they were a little strong for the palette. The ambers were all unique and each provided a little something for you to think over and you tasted your way through the Murlarkey display. We really enjoyed the tasting, the whiskey, the ambience, and especially Jonathon, who made the experience totally worthwhile. We grabbed a couple bottles, some of their great Bootlegger Boys merch, and made our way to their cocktail bar, Proof to taste some more of their signature cocktails. If you're in the area and looking for a fun way to spend a couple hours, look no further than the Murlarkey Distillery. Hope to see you soon.

When I found out my husband had never been to one and that there was one in Hanover, I decided it was an experience he simply had to have before turning 40. So about two weeks ago, we did it. I might be 25-ish years older than the last time I went to Medieval Times, but it's still a very good time. A jousting show, cheering, fun souvenirs, surprisingly decent food, and just a fun time! You may know that they don't do utensils (you're in medieval times now, after all), so everything has to be able to be eaten with your hands. The soup is served in a cup with a handle, but the rest are all things that are eaten with your hands: corn on the cob, roast chicken, a roast potato wedge, garlic bread, and an eclair for dessert. The show was still fun, and it was such a great atmosphere - everyone got so into it, cheering, waving flags, shouting... Is it cheesy and kitschy? Yes. But I still think it's a fun time! Nostalgic, too!

Very impressed with the food quality being that they have to serve a ton of people. You're getting an entire half of a split chicken, half of a potato, corn, soup, bread, & dessert. Quite literally the only complaint was the dessert since it was just a measly little eclair. They don't play when it comes to their alcoholic drinks either! And thank goodness for the price they want. The show was great, definitely entertaining, and the one-on-one combat was hilarious. You must go to medieval times at least once!
