We have lived here for 2 years and just renewed again! Adam, Gena, Ardi and the entire management and maintenance teams are fantastic to work with and make living here very enjoyable. I've lived in Chicago for 11 years now and this is the best place I've ever lived. I recently resigned for another year after my 15 month lease ended because I can't imagine living anywhere else. The building gets cleaned every day and always smells amazing. The property manager is extremely responsive and communicative and makes sure that everyone is comfortable, safe, and happy. I never have issues with noise and the location is amazing. Also, the staff is so sweet to my two little pups and this is the cleanest, most peaceful, pet friendly building I've ever seen. read more

Words cannot express how regretful and disappointed I am to have lived here 13 months. I was there was a negative star option. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! 1. This building sat open to the elements for 3 years prior to this management company buying it due a botched deal with a group of middle eastern bankers. - this pertinent to the conditions of the building 2. They do NOT tell you when you rent in this building you can NOT control the heat or cooling until they "switch" one system over to the next. So if you rent in April as I did - you are left with two months of no A/C. These windows have no legitimate tent and are a sieve- there is no deal. Be it winter or summer. When it's 60 degrees outside it's 75 degrees in the unit. When humidity exceeds 60% as per weather experts this creates an "uncomfortably wet" environment - then as it approaches 70% as it happens to have been over last 4-5 days the heat in any amount becomes "oppressive" I almost had a nervous breakdown the last few nights, just can't breathe especially if you have seasonal allergies as I do. The only A/C I could attain is in my car in the bldgs garage which was cooler than my unit. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! How is it we have a stay at home order you do nothing to change your "68 degree for 3 days" policy (which it has been) or at least closely monitor it. It's bad enough the heat (Nor the thermostat) goes beyond 78 degrees in the winter so again with windows that have no seal you are left with a draft. Then you're left with a choice to buy an electric heater and jack up your electric bill. For last 4 days it has been 82-88 degrees indoors! For the record- when humidity exceeds There aren't enough curse words in the dictionary. I'm so livid to have endure this at the tune if 2300/month. This inhumane and downright cruel. How give us a F'ing fan- anything. Mgmt doesnt 2 sh*ts cause they don't live in it. I will be making a formal complaint with the city on this and lack of accommodations to those handicapped or medically impaired inducing systemic problems caused by high internal heat which they have failed to address. 2. Window treatments. So when it's hot- the brilliant management team had a directive to residents to close the shade (because this magically blocks humidity generated from heat, a concept a 8 yo knows is foolish). These dingy dirty white window treatments with small holes throughout them. Windows. Oh my one and only window that opens from the bottom with no breeze and whose frame is bent- that doesn't close properly. Yea no relief here. 3. Package - a human sh*t show of epic proportions. No order. No consistency. The machine to even get in the package room barely works. You can no longer scan a code. So now - during a pandemic where it has been alleged that touching surfaces should be avoided as much as possible you want us to touch the screen- being that more packages are being delivered because we are doing our part to stay at home would make logical reasoning that this should be fixed! Genius. I swear nothing being geniuses run this building. 4. Garage Door- I think I have lost a year off my life for waiting for this door to go up and down that is rusted, bent and unsightly in appearance. - garage door is an alley, which this building makes no effort to ensure all the big trucks that service industry on Madison tend to park and load in. At the the tune of 250 bucks month to park. Yea good luck 5. Countless repairs. One good thing I can say is the appliances are high quality. But being inside an antiquated building structure it's a car with no gas. List of things had to be repaired in 13 months- -wooden slatted door to laundry closet. when I first moved in, the bottom corner was glued back and painted in an off white lending to signs of previous repair. So off course it broke. Waited a week. Replaced it. Few months later- yea broke again. And now I have another- hardly works well. -bathroom door to bedroom, not only falls off the track- recessed into the wall. -hole in sink U Pipe DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! **response to review below- there was no mis communication. Kati has been inefficient and ineffective since the day I moved in and there is email trail to prove it. You will never been in good standing with me. Period** ***update 5/26/20***5pm I return home to enter my unit the office manager Kati H has fully maintained her discrimination towards my needs and requests as a legal tenant. They still have not addressed with my U Pipe. They claim to want to contact me but have now ignored my emails and attempts to connect via building concierge. This is the 24 S Morgan Experience. I pay 2300 to live in squalor because a simple 5AM email request was not followed up on. ***update 5/27/20**5:15pm This property management has avoided my calls and illegally entered my unit. This has got to be the most poorly managed building I've ever lived in. You can't get a response from management on issues as important as my keyfob stopped working. Maintenance is lazy. Takes 2 weeks for them to respond to your request and then they patch it up never really fixing it. They walk on your carpet with dirty shoes. Construction goes on forever, we don't really have adequate facilities. The construction manager is "in over his head", has a sour face all the time. Things break all the time-- there have been gas leaks, heating is off in the entire building all of the sudden. The gym is filled with outdated machines, one of the ellipticals has a creak. The manager is always "sooo crazy busy", never has time to attend to your issue, commits to big actions yet never follows through. She doesn't answer emails. She doesn't pick up the phone. Staff all walk around with a sour face and filled with stress. There is always "a problem." It's a pain in the neck to get a package. There is a TV in the lobby that is supposed to tell you when you have a package, but it is never updated. You'll keep getting daily emails about a package ready for pickup weeks after you already picked it up. Also you should know... (Google it!) that the building is part of a failed bankrupt condo project, an alleged Ponzi scheme. (Google it!) Developers were found to have defrauded investors of about $40M and were sentenced to federal prison. (News says a few of them fled the country.) The building was repossessed by the bank in 2008. - HERE's WHY THIS MATTERS: The building feels like it was made cheaply (imagine how a criminal real estate group builds when defrauding investors.) The new owners look desperate to show profit, so seems that they operate on a LOW budget. Someone wrote a 5-star review without even having lived here. Don't believe that fluff. Do your research and talk to people that live here, you'll get the truth. There is one positive- which is why this is a 2 star and not zero star- facilities are kept pretty clean. Hallways vacuumed and floors clean. You can count on that. I'll be looking for a new place to live. Save yourself! read more

This review is strictly for the terrible communication and application process. I made an appointment to view 2 units in my price range, and was told that I would hear from property management exactly one week from the date of my appointment to see if the units become available. This was AFTER the showing. I was then prompted to send in the application, paying $50. After me having to follow up twice, I was told that, in fact, no units were available for my move in date (but MIGHT be available for August). I requested a refund on the application fee, since I was misled to believe units would be available. I was denied. Beware future renters: it may not be worth checking this place out, despite the nice building. Too much of a hassle, and terrible communication. read more

It has only gotten worse in this building. There are now notes being left by tenants on the management office windows because they are never there when they say they are supposed to be there. There is so much double speak from the management office to all tenants and their fix to the mess is to provide free coffee in the club room. Trust me do not move in! I have lived here for a year now and sad to say I am moving at the end of the month. Reason being I need to pay a lower rent BUT super sad to leave this area and this building. I keep laughing at the review below from Bebaxa T. Yes, construction has been going on for awhile now but it is because of the owners before who did go bankrupt; the new owners now have taken over. They are finishing the apartments in the building. And they are not cheaply made. I've been in the new ones; they are just as nice as mine. Actually nicer, they have the dark hardwood floors and are bigger. The apartments are all nice with incredible kitchens. The new exercise room is nicer and bigger with more light and t.v.'s The machines are not outdated. They are nice and for what it's worth, it's a nice exercise room that gets the job done for someone like me. And ummm seriously Bebaxa T.?? The gas leak and the heat going off all of a sudden was BECAUSE OF -52 WIND CHILL TEMPS DURING THAT WEEK IN JANUARY! LOL It was off for not even two hours and they got someone on site to fix it asap. It was a Sunday night too..so I think two hours without any heat and the email we got letting us know was pretty good. Curl up under a blanket and you should have been fine. The staff here is incredibly nice. Sara is cool and personable. Kris is awesome and always says hi to me. They are a cool group of helpful people. I don't see "sour faces" on these people. Also, I've never had anything break except the smoke alarm need a new battery or something and that was taken care of within two days. The staff has been helpful to me in regards to parking for a month during Chiberia when I needed it otherwise I park on the street. There is always street parking available and easy to find after 3-4:00. Everyone is friendly in this building and let's you pet their dogs. lol The sun deck is sweet with a great view. The party room is awesome to have and when I was the first one to use it last summer- the staff was very accomodating and it is free to use. I also had 70 people at this party and went off without a problem. The location of this building is awesome! I am really going to miss living here. They are helpful and the apartments are great and it's quiet. I recommend this building and staff to anyone! read more

I have lived in this building for 4 years. Up until recently, the building has been very poorly managed. I won't go into the details, but trust me when I say, it was terrible. However, I am pleased to say that the new management is excellent. The building manager, Valerie, is friendly, and most importantly, she is good at her job. She gets things done quickly and without you having to ask for anything more than once. Likewise, the maintenance manager is great. He is nice and is very good at resolving issues in a timely manner. This building is now one of the best managed buildings that I've ever lived in. read more

I have legitimately never met such a delinquent (yes that's the only way to describe it) leasing office. And by leasing office, I mean the girl who runs it Sara. This has been my experience: 1. Showed up during regular leasing hours on a Saturday. Couldn't get into the building to the leasing office because no one was in the leasing office. Finally got in behind a tenant in which a tenant said "are you looking for Sara? Good luck." Sat outside the leasing office. Talked to Sara who seemed extremely disheveled and seemed unsure of apartment availability but nonetheless we made an appointment for the following saturday and took my number to confirm our appointment during the week (my mistake, I should have gotten her business card). 2. Called the leasing office several times/days throughout the week to confirm our Saturday appointment. Voicemail every time. 3. Showed up to the leasing office for my scheduled appointment. Locked out again. After waiting for 30 minutes, Sara shows up for the appointment. Barely apologizes. During this appointment we were supposed to see an available apartment. Sara said she "completely forgot to check with resident" to see if we could see his apartment and said she had to have his consent to enter. If she knew this, why didn't she ask him when she had a whole week? She clearly forgot about our appointment. She tried to call and text him while she showed us the communal parts of the building, was such a waste of time. She barely apologized for wasting our time and this time gave us her personal cell and said she could arrange something for maybe a couple hours later or Sunday and would call us immediately. 4. A couple hours later I did NOT get a call. Nor did I get one on Sunday. I have called and emailed her several times since all of this and nothing. Is this girl seriously trying to get fired? Nevertheless, if she is the only leasing manager there is no way I could possibly live here. Imagine if you had a broken appliance. Nightmare. Would definitely not recommend anyone to live here until this woman is let go. read more

Luv Lux24! I recently experienced a showing of available units within the Lux24 apartment complex and was blown away by what this building and its management has to offer! The location couldn't be more perfect! Grocery stores, coffee shops, top restaurants...all within walking distance---which was something that I had been looking for---not to mention "affordability." The units are strikingly beautiful. I've been apartment hunting for a few months now within this loop location, and coming across affordable units with floor to ceiling windows that allow for the most amazing sunlight and views to add comfort to city apartment living is a rarity! The amenities are awesome and the finishes are definitely top of the line, with the most modern features! I was told that there are even more exciting plans to come for Lux24---which is one more plus to add for this building on my list. Can't forget to mention the Community Manager, Sara Mock at Lux24! Last summer, I had the pleasure of meeting Sara, as I contemplated a move to a new complex on Randolph street. Sara happened to be a part of the management team at that particular building---and before she even showed us the units---we were completely sold---as this young lady's passion and enthusiasm for her job would make anyone feel as though they were making the best choice of home! To my surprise---Sara is part of Lux24 management now, and has made going through this strenuous process of "apartment hunting" and decision making so much easier---as her outstanding professionalism, knowledge and personal attention to a customers "needs" are far and above superior to anyone that I have yet to meet at all of the other various complexes we've seen thus far! After having met Sara twice now---I have every confidence that ALL of my needs and concerns as a new tenant would be addressed in short order! When I moved into the property, 5 of 70 units had tenants. Over 8 years the building has changed hands many times with a number of faces and employees coming and going. I have to say that the latest managerial staff with Calibrate are doing a great job bringing a quality experience to those living there. The buiding's maintenance team led by Tom are on top of every need that comes their way and are willing to get creative when needed. Valerie, the leasing manager, has been the most proficient of all those before her and while change is taking place, she still treats former tenants with respect and tenure. The neighborhood is amazing, the neighbors are friendly and pets are allowed.. A little pricey but it's a great place to live! read more
