We were locked out of the house and called. They were there in about 30 minutes and showed up in an escort with a headlight out, no uniforms or name tags and didn't ask me for an ID. Felt uneasy about this and called the company back to get names of the people who showed up and they refused. When I continued to push, they put me on hold and after several minutes of holding, they picked up and hung up and didn't answer when I called back. I sat on hold for 10 minutes and then was told he would be here any minute. 30 minutes later.. still nothing. I called back and asked for management. She says there is no management. I asked who pays the locksmiths? She says she doesn't know. Then she told me "he must not be coming or he would have been there by now." Are you freaking kidding me?? I wish I can give them lower than 1 stars. We got locked out of our house in the cold and I called at 6:18pm and they gave me an ETA of 15-30 min to come to my house. Thirty five min later I call them and they said he'll be there in two minutes. Fifty five minutes later still no one and I call back, the dispatcher calls the technician and it turns out he went to another house for a child emergency lockout. Well I have a child who is locked out too! In the cold Iowa winter! WTF! Then they tell me he will be here in another 12 minutes. They finally arrive 1hr30min after the initial call, with 3 follow up calls to them. A car arrived with two people in the car, looking like regular folks and the technician tried to get in our house with regular tools that someone would use to break into your house... then I receive a text message to review them and the link takes you to some untrustworthy site that says it might scam you. The whole experience is very weird and suspicious to me. I may look them up on the BBB, nothing feels right about them. These people are totally unprofessional with your time. If you have other choices call them first otherwise you will be told an ETA that they give you willy nilly and you'll be put on their priority list without knowing where you stand in that list. read more

This place is awful! I was out of town for business and locked the keys to my loaner inside the car. I called bc the prices on the website seemed affordable. NOT! They got to my car after 35 minutes. When the locksmith got there it took him about a minute to unlock my car. He told me the total was $119.95. I was in shock. I asked why it was so much and he told me because he was located in DM and I was in WDM and because it was a newer vehicle. $120 for a service that takes less than a minute seems ridiculous! I waited 40 min for someone to arrive in a regular unmarked car with regular clothes and no ID. He charged me $90 and said it's $20 for dispatch, $15 to unlock, and the rest depending on how far he had to drive.....it's Des Moines. It doesn't take 40 min to get a few min off the interstate. I was locked out of my car on Saturday and called two other locksmiths that didn't answer. 24hrlockouts was my third attempt and they had someone help me within 30 minutes from the time I placed the call. I paid $119.95. Great service, would use again! The guy gave me a receipt and said I could turn it in to my insurance if I had roadside assistance. Turns out I did and my insurance reimbursed me! I used them for a lock repair on a door for a business. The dispatch lady told me the guy would be there in 15 minutes and that the starting rate was $19.99. She was trying to end the call quickly and didn't even ask for the address. I had to stop her and give it to her. Almost an hour later there was still no locksmith. I called back and was told he was 5 minutes out. The locksmith showed up 10 minutes later and took a long time to fix the lock which he didn't even do correctly. He then wanted the employee to pay him cash which she refused. The locksmith came back the next day saying he wanted $250 for the work. $250!!! He didn't even fix the lock right and I had to have another repair guy come out and fix it. The employee called me and I had her put me on the phone with locksmith. I told him $250 was outrageous and demanded to speak to his boss. After some mumbling and false statements that his "boss" told him to ask for me he finally said "what would you be willing to pay to resolve this situation". There is obviously no clear guidelines for their locksmiths and they can charge whatever they feel like. I ended up paying $80, which I still think was too much. read more

Yesterday we called and inquired about having them come and unlock a door. Having called 24 Hour Lockouts, we were told a quote of $35. However upon arrival the price almost doubled to $65, with a $20 call charge we had to pay upon arrival of the gentlemen with the company, even if we didn't use the companies services. The tech came, was rough in demeanor, looking angry and quiet. I let him do his thing and didn't wanna bother him, Literally 60 seconds to unlock the old car and he charged $65! Ridiculous. Worst service ever. I waited over an hour to get a locksmith at my location and then he finally got there. He asked me how my night was and in a normal conversational voice replied back "Its been good I have just been waiting for over an hour." I was being civil with him but then he instantly starts giving excuses and yelling profanity at me. The dispatcher told me the fees will start at $35 but that is completely wrong. The man that came got the car unlocked in less then 5 minutes and was ranting about my comment the entire time. As soon as he gets the car unlocked I start my car to stop the alarm and take my keys and put them in my pocket. He asked for my license after that and started to write the bill. He stated "Since you gave me such bad attitude I am going to charge you $89" Outrageous. The man told me that since he is an 'independent contractor' he can charge anything he wants to. I went and took my license to put back in my car because I did not want him to get any more of my information. I opened my car door to put my card in there and he must of thought I was going to drive way so he tries to jump into my car and get the keys to lock them back into my car. (His dispatcher for the company told him to do so because I was "giving attitude and didn't want to pay $89 for a 5 minute job." There was so much more to this story but to whoever sees this: Do not ever use this company.
