My husband and I both needed a smog check, so we went in on Sunday morning to get it done. After pulling in, I rolled down my window and informed the attendant that my husband, who was in the car behind me, and I were there for smog checks. He advised one of us to go inside and let the cashier know we were paying for two smog checks at $19.99 each. I went inside and spoke with the cashier, a kind older gentleman named Arsenio. He asked if I would like to save $3 on each smog check. When I agreed, he asked me to search for a 24/7 Xpress Smog coupon and click on the Valpak website to show him the coupon -- a thoughtful gesture! After getting the receipts, I returned to my car. The technician quickly finished my smog check and then did my husband's in less than five minutes. He was very courteous and offered helpful advice on how often smog checks are needed and how far in advance they can be completed. I always bring my car here for Smog Check because of the convenience and easy parking. The older Asian guy is very friendly and professional and always smiling. He remembers me even if I only come once a year. Lately there is this younger Asian guy with a long pony tail a bit on the heavy set and short who is extremely Very Rude, edgy and unhappy. I asked him politely if I should pull over or pay first and he yelled at me !?! As if I inconvenienced him and his day by asking a question. He was also rude the last time by the way too. I had to tell him to 'take it easy'. Then, when I drove my car to the freeway the next day the hood was shaking. It never ever did that before. I will bring it back and ask them to check the hood. The Xpress smog station personnel were incredibly rude and condescending. First they literally yelled at me to move my car from a legally marked parking spot without explanation until I got tired of the 3rd time the technician yelled at me and asked what I did wrong. He then proceeded to tell me that a car could hit me when backing out. So I took a deep breath and did so. I got out of my car again and he yelled at me that I was the third in line. I just nodded and went into the shell Station market and paid for the smog. Then, another technician did the smog and asked me if I want to have them handle the registration to which I said yes. He said that will be $10 dollars. I was confused and asked if it could be paid along with my registration fee and he said "if it were possible I would have told you. Do you want it or not". This review is solely for the car wash. I paid for the cheapest one, I believe it was $6 - which was such a rip off. I really just wanted to get the dust and dirt from the rain a few days ago. I wasn't expecting much since it was the "cheapest" option - but for what I go it definitely wasn't worth $6 I went thru the "put car in neutral" car wash and the soap was barely there. With in the blink of one eye - it was already rinsing time, like where's the soap? I'm pretty sure, although I opted for the cheapest one it also includes soap? - So I thought. What really grinds my tires is the drying or LACK there of! I literally drove thru the drying part of my fabulous car wash and it didn't even dry my car. Guess what? I drove to the "complimentary" vacuum area to dry my car off with paper towels. Lameski.I usually go to the Chevron car wash on St. Rose - there is actually someone that puts the soap on my car and dries it after. Customer service/ Cashier is FAILING to represent the company well. One particular night this boy that works at the cashier was displaying RACIAL DISCRIMINATION to a paying customer with ill intent. When customer asked what the reasoning of the action from the boy working the register, the boy Continued on with intimidation ignoring the customers concern, while the other Co worker laughs at the act encouraging the ill behavior. RACIAL DISCRIMINATION isn't to take lightly. Distraught with the experience this should be resolved. As a paying customer I do not tolerate this type of behavior and shall be justified. Smog station I went to get a smog check At the Shell station at Stephanie and Pacific American, the employee didn't have on a mask and I had mine on. I roll down my window and ask him where his mask was? He said he wasn't wearing one and he wasn't going to. I told him that I was wearing this mask only to protect him - did he not care about me? I said, I thought you were supposed to wear a mask. He said he thought this whole thing was blown way out of proportion. I am only shopping where employees wear masks. read more

October 4th around 7:45 pm, my husband and I go inside to purchase some items and I IMMEDIATELY began to feel uncomfortable, as if I was being watched/judged. I mainly go here for my least favorite time of year , which is car smog & registration time. I have been stopping by and this place each year that my registration is up and I have to get my truck smogged. The DMV helper folks can useful depending on which one you talk to. This year for some odd reason I did not get my renewal notice they usually send it to me right before Christmas almost as a cruel joke. Anyways I had to have a replacement one emailed to me so it had the bar code to scan. Had my smog done and snagged a coupon which included a free car wash. The car wash and Free vacuums are a nice addition to the area. Most of the cashiers are decent some just stare blankly and mutter a word or two . Prices on the shelf do not come up at the register so they charge you more then the shelf price and when you tell the clerk they don't care and don't even blink or check the shelf, a real store would check the shelf remove the wrong price and charge you the stated price for your troubles. Great location on the NW corner of Stephanie and American Pacific. Pretty good parking to go into the store. The gas prices are always very competitive and we all need to save a few bucks with the crazy high gas prices out there right now. Plus get a free car wash with 8 gallons of gas. You have to go in with your receipt and the clerk will give you a car wash ticket for their automatic car wash. The car wash is ok as auto car wash goes...but don't complain when it comes free with purchase. The store is well stocked and has all the normal convenience store stuff but always a couple extra items like local dried fruits or other specialties from local jobbers or vendors which is pretty cool. I always buy some of them just to try and support local small biz. Staff for some reason appear and I see different people always "look" like they're not having a good day, but they always are helpful and get you out quick. Winner and works for me so I keep coming back. Gets Like 4.5 stars over the last 4 visits. read more

I have been a customer here on a regular basis for five years. I was shocked and appalled to see a young man standing in extreme heat outside at the entrance of the car wash. The car wash is self serve and isn't great by any means nor is it busy, so why do they have a young man standing out there in this brutal Heat ????it's just plain cruel !! I went in and asked for the manager and let her know that it is wrong and cruel to have a young man standing out there in this heat, her answer was that he was free to come in when he wants and he can have as much water as he wants. I would suggest she stand out there for the day and then let's see if she wants to send another employee to stand out there again. Went inside to pay my bill, stepped up to the counter, and was confronted with a young man named "John" who claimed to be the assistant manager. We have always gone to this 24/7 Express smog check (located behind the Shell Station 201 Stephanie) because of the kindness of the personnel, in particular, a very courteous and happy Hispanic man that we saw for over 5 years. ( The last time we saw him was February of 2023.) This year we expected the same courteous treatment and went back for our smog check. Today there were two new people doing smog checks. Both were Extremely Rude! The lead guy came up to the car with a huge attitude. He demanded, loudly, that I get out of the car. Now, we just pulled up. I told him that my son would go in and pay, and that I recently had back surgery and would need to stay in the seat. Remember, the computer plug in is located right by my left knee and he could plug it in just fine. After his outburst, I told him, 'I don't understand, the plug is right there. Furthermore, I explained to him about my physical issues and ask if there was anywhere close by I could sit if I did "need" to get out of the car. That really set him off for some reason. He threw up his hands and repeated in very loud angry voice: "Why is there so much drama? I get many disabled people in here and They can get out of the car just fine!" My son, who was with me, told this creepy guy 'she can't stand for very long'... but This guy just keep yelling: "What makes her so special?" etc. This went on for a few minutes, so I just stopped talking, managed to get out of seat and hang onto the outside handle of the backseat door. He plugged in the gadget. My son came back from paying right away and told me to go ahead and sit back down into the car seat, which I did. Luckily he was there to help. Interestingly, there were no other customers waiting for a smog check... now I can see why. He had me so nervous, I left without getting gas. Seriously, if this is the way to do business now, by harassing and embarrassing customers, good luck. We will Never go Back there again... Ever!!! read more

I asked him if they had screwdrivers so I could put on my new plates after I vacuumed (free with wash) my car. 24/7 Xpress - Gas Stations Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

This review is for the smog operation. Went in for a smog. Usually have 2 gentlemen working there. The older guy has always been great and does great work, very thorough. The younger guy always seems to rush everything so he can get to the next vehicle. Well, today it was only the younger gentleman there. My vehicle is an older vehicle so the smog check needs to be performed the old school way, not using the obd2 port since it's an obd1 and includes putting a rod in the tailpipe and also connecting a wire to one of the spark plug wires in my vehicle. After performing the service he was in such a rush to get me out and to the next customer that he carelessly disconnected his equipment off of my vehicle. He closed the hood, gave me the paperwork and sent me on my way. I immediately felt a sudden lost of power when I pulled away so I stopped around the corner where the entrance of the carwash is and opened my hood. I found that he had pulled off one of the spark plug wires off of my distributor cap. This causes one of the cylinders in the engine to shut down. Careless mistake that could've maybe cost me a lot of money if I kept running it. It could have been avoided if he took his time and double checked his work before he closed the hood. I work on cars myself so luckily I knew what to look for. Make sure to watch this guy if he's the one that performs the service on your vehicle. He doesn't seem to have respect for other people's property, just wants to get paid. I've also included a picture of what he had pulled off while carelessly disconnecting his equipment from my vehicle, just in case it happens to anyone who doesn't know much about cars and wouldn't know what to look for. read more

This review is specifically for the XpressSmog operation, though the attached convenience store was also a positive part of my overall experience. Got a coupon in the advertising mailer for XpressSmog for a $14.99 snog check, and decided to go there. Last year, the annual smog check for my car (elsewhere) was a traumatic experience -- the first couple locations I went to, their machine was down, or their link to the Nevada DMV was down, etc. so as I pulled-in to the Shell station that XpressSmog in in the rear of at about 4PM on a Tuesday, I already felt some anxiety. They can handle two cars at once, but spots were occupied, and there was one other customer waiting. But my timing was pretty good, because within about 5 minutes, the XpressSmog attendant motioned for me to pull on up. I gave him the DMV form, and he advised it'd just take a couple minutes, and that I'd pay inside the 24/7 Xpress store and then bring the receipt for him. Going into the store was nice, because it helped kill the few minutes while he did the smog check. The store was very clean & seemed to have a little of everything. I bought two drinks, plus gave the employee at the register the $14.99 smog check coupon (a very good deal - smog checks seem to usually cost $18-$24 at places in the LV area) and she was quite friendly. Went back outside & around the back to where the XpressSmog place is, and the work was completed! I handed the technician my receipt, and he gave me back the original Vehicle Registration Renewal Notice paperwork I'd handed him when I arrived, and he gave me a printout of the passing test result. I know that Henderson & the LV area in-general have many, many smog inspection places all-over. In the past, I've just gone to one that I was near, or had a coupon for, and have had varied results -- one being closed during the middle of a weekday afternoon, one having a technician that looked & acted like he'd just gotten out of prison, one whose equipment was often broken, etc. BUT I'm happy to say that from now-on, I'll use this XpressSmog location, even though it means passing by about a dozen other smog check stations just to get there. It was about 100 degrees out, in early May -- a time when we're all somewhat miserable when outside, as we try to acclimate to the Summer heat, and this technician guy (last two digits of his Inspector # were 68) it outside with a little shade, and is in the sunlight when testing cars. Yet he was not only polite, but genuinely FRIENDLY too! One other nice thing: It seems like plenty of the small smog check operations have tip jars. I'm guessing it's not sanctioned by the owner of the business, but the tech places it where it's highly visible, just to try to squeeze *extra* $$ from the customer that will go directly into the pocket of the technician. Your opinion might differ, but I find them highly annoying in the context of some drive-up smog check service where tipping is not exactly an accepted industry practice. I'm happy to report that I saw no-such BS at XpressSmog. read more

Sometimes I throw a straw wrapper on the floor of my car just to have a reason to use the vacuums in this glorified haven of peace and serenity. Sadly, the only thing this refreshing oasis lacks is the sale of hot dogs with steamed buns (those are key). His name is Jason. He is younger but dumpy looking. We have several vehicles and i find myself waiting for a day when Will is at work. Will is so courteous that i always tip him $5. I was determined to get my SMOG check done yesterday 11/30. I went to my usual place that does it for just under $10, but they were too busy to even acknowledge me for my first 10 minutes of waiting. I checked Yelp and saw that 2 places were not far from me and were about equal in price with a Yelp Check in coupon. I went to the farthest one first and saw they had a line, so I made my way to 24/7. I went inside and the cashier was friendly and quick. For the last few years I've endured loud music playing and rude cashiers talking loudly to each other or singing while I'm paying for the purchase. I've heard profanity-laced rap playing in behind the counter and watched overly comfortable employees ignore the customers at the counter. But my experience tonight topped everything. As I was walking in the store, some shady-looking people were exiting the store so I stopped inside to watch them as they were walking towards my car and that's where my wife and daughter were. I don't know if my caution was a cause of concern to the cashier or if he perceived or suspected ill-intent because of it, but when I placed my intended purchase on the counter, the cashier (John) was extremely rude to me. He barked out "four dollars" to me in an aggressive tone, and when I looked up from the card reader, he was glaring at me. I asked him if everything was alright, he said,"Why wouldn't it be alright?" I said because you're staring at me and now talking to me in a rude tone. He said," I'm just talking, do you have insecurities?" I told him that I didn't appreciate his tone and asked him if he spoke to other customers that way. He said, "If you don't like it, I get off work soon and we can deal with it then." Nice place! I never thought I would walk into a convenience store in Green Valley and be challenged by a disrespectful kid half my age. I thought I was in Green Valley, not "the hood". I've never met such a rude and disrespectful person at any other store, and the fact that management has kept these low-class employees for so long, speaks volumes about them. I won't spend another dime in that store or the company ever again, and I will do my best to spread the word about the lack of customer service and the disrespect I received. After this incident occurred, I spoke to my son about it and he told me he was berated by the cashier who appeared to be under the influence of something, because my son walked back into the store after a purchase, to inform the cashier that he was given back too much change for his purchase. My son was trying to give back an extra fifteen dollars in change that he was mistakenly given, and the rude kid behind the counter was yelling at him! I'm done dealing these rude employees, and I will keep spreading the word every chance I get.
