When technician showed up he could not fix the problem because of wrong information given him. I lost my keys 4 days ago. Called 24/7 Locksmith. They came out right away, charged me $350. I felt like I was being robbed, but I was desperate and happy to get my new fob and be on my way. Today, 4 days after I paid $350, my key fob won't work. I called the company, they put me on hold and left me there. 30 minutes later, still holding. Definitely don't recommend. read more

Case Description: I accidentally locked myself out of the house. When I initially called, I was told a technician was nearby, he would call me in 15 minutes or less and that the cost was usually $59 but could be more, that I would be told beforehand if it was more and what that cost would be. After 25 minutes with no word from the technician, I called back. I was told they would call him directly and have him call me. About 10-15 minutes later, he finally calls and says he'll be there in about 35 minutes. Closer to an hour later, he actually shows up and takes less than a minute to open my door. Nothing was said about it costing more than the $59 I was told over the phone, so I assumed that was the cost. While he processed my card, he wanted me to get mail with my name and address on it. He didn't have any receipt books with empty pages so he asked to email the receipt. He did and was already gone when I got it. The bill was for $275.35. I was shocked to say the least. I called to dispute the charge and found out that this seems to be some kind of on call business that sends subcontractors out to do the work as the business name on the receipt was for SNJ Locksmith Services. They didn't seem to know who the they called out and that they had to figure out who the technician was so they could see what the deal was with that charge. I looked for this SNJ Locksmith Services online and couldn't find them. I googled the address and Google maps shows a residence, rather than a business. I also found out after that other, reputable locksmith services in the area charge a flat $60 fee for unlocking a door in my neighborhood. I will happily pay $60, but I feel like I was taken advantage of and it felt like a scam. At the very least, this is a company that needs to be more careful about the technicians they send out to represent them. read more

Lady of the phone stated it would be $14 for service call and then $45-65 labor charge... after waiting 50 mins (not the 20 promised) turned out there is also a $66 tool charge. BTW they keep the tools, and they use the same tools for everyone. If I'm getting charged for tools, I want to keep what I'm purchasing. Misleading - total rip off - Late. read more

DO NOT CALL - SCAM LOCKSMITH. This is one of those scam locksmith companies you hear about on the news. Will show up fairly promptly, then charge an outrageous amount for service. Will then threaten, harass and intimidate and force you to pay them. The pictures are misleading as they have no actual "store", they are totally mobile and go around scamming people. I was charged $218 by S & J Locksmiths after locking my keys in my car in my own garage. I was quotes $20 for referral and $39 service call. Price was not brought up until after the work was done and i was completely taken advantage of by the company. read more

Where do I even begin. I guess I'll start with a suggestion. Tell your clients how much it's going to cost before unlocking the door. Also don't bullshit a price and say "all business start at $300". I Called the number to see if that was true, the guy on the phone (who was super rude btw) couldn't confirm that information. The kid who showed up looked like her just rolled out of bed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME CALLING THIS COMPANY. I thoroughly explained my lockout issue to the dispatcher and was assured there would be no issue getting my keys retrieved from the trunk. They quoted me $100 for this service. I never received a follow up call letting me know when the technician would arrive. After 5+ calls and 45 mins later, the tech said he was 10 -15mins away. it took over a hour and half for the technician to arrive when he said he was 10-15mins away!!! He came pushed down on the trunk a couple times and said that dispatch never told him my trunk button didn't work, he then said he couldn't help me but could send someone else over at a starting price of $400!!! I immediately phoned the manager and explained how huge of an inconvenience and issue that 2hrs of my time was wasted and that I'm screwed since it's a Saturday and that I could have saved my valuable time finding a reputable business to assist me. And since my morning is gone and I'm still late for work I have no options now! The manager didn't care or try to accommodate their offices negligence. He still quoted me $400+ price tag and only God knows how much more of my time would be wasted dealing with this horrible unreliable company. I'm still locked out and still late for work and the dealership that's 40mins away, that could have helped me closed while dealing with this horrible company. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Just have to say that after a week of dealing with my son's car and calling every locksmith possible Matt came to the rescue! Not only did he have to make a key and program the computer the car battery was dead and he jumped it! There was another issue as well and he stayed an hour to see it through! That's great service! And it didn't cost any extra than what I was quoted! read more

Horrible experience! The guy they sent out blew a fuse, damaged the security system, and told me "google how to fix the fuse and manually program the key in" and then left. He also over charged me by $75 dollars. In the end, it cost me $180 to fix the damage he did to my car! read more

They arrived several hours past the agreed upon arrival time. Also, upon their late arrival a significant up-charge was suddenly needed to perform the service. Should have immediately cancelled the entire service given their tardiness and significant up-charge. But sad to say, given how late it was in the evening, I reluctantly agreed. After more thorough research I have found that a locksmith company with the exact same telephone number but different company name had an F rating with the BBB.
