Top auto service! I have found my go to car mechanic…read more I had to have my alternator replaced in my 2013 Chevy Traverse. The shop I had been going to lately quoted me $1400! Said something about that to get to the alternator, they had to take out the cooling system. I got quotes from other shops using Yelps Project feature. Another shop wanted $970. Josh with Rolling Wrenches quoted me $547! Not only that, but he's mobile and would come to me so I wouldn't have to have the car towed to a shop. Well, that was a no brainer. We set the appointment for 9:00 a.m. and he was right on time. Josh showed me that he had to take out the coolant reservoir. That was all. So simple, anyone can take that out. Not sure how that equaled to $1400 worth at the other shop. The engine cover was removed, again, no biggie, and he took off the passenger front tire for better access. Swapped out the alternator, cleaned up the engine compartment a bit, put in an air freshener, and test drove the car. I'm so pleased. the car had been parked on the street for several months because I thought I had to have $1400 to fix it. We got our car back and I love it. Josh is a very pleasant, polite, and honest man. You will not go wrong with his services. Deserving of more than 5 stars. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I first brought my car to them a few years ago for a water pump. They were cheaper than Ford, squeezed me in pretty fast, and were always so nice to deal with. Fast forward to last week and I needed to get my front axle replaced. They got my car in so quick! They let me drop it off the night before since I had work early. My quote for my axel was outdated and I had asked for a new one. They wasted no time looking at it after I dropped it off to get me my quote ASAP! Was not expecting that AT all. They found one more minor thing, never tried me to talk me into repairing it but it was easier to have them do it since they were already under there. Brett and Joe are both SO SO nice!!! I appreciate them getting my baby done so fast and treating her so well. They are not the cheapest in town but you get what you pay for when it comes to cars. I won't ever go anywhere else!

After coming back to the shop 3 hours later to pick it up, my car was not at the shop. Turns out they took the car to another shop in town who had the correct machines to get the job done. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time instead of seeing my car driven in to the shop from a different shop. Fast forward to now, my AC went out again several weeks ago and I'll need to take it in once more to inspect what is happening. While this service was cheaper then competitors I feel it may have been worth it in the long run to take it somewhere else because I'll end up paying more to get it done again anyway at this point.

When I brought it back, they identified an issue involving the pinion seal, collar, and rear differential. I asked whether the problem could have been related to the previous work. What impressed me most was that they didn't take the easy route and simply say, "That's not our problem." Instead, they took the time to discuss the possible causes, consult other repair shops for additional opinions, and work with me to find the right solution. Most importantly, they made it right. They went above and beyond to take care of me, helped arrange a rental vehicle at a great price, and worked hard to complete the repair as quickly as possible. That's what superior customer service looks like. It's not just about getting the job right the first time. It's about how you treat your customers when something unexpected happens. Jake's demonstrated that they stand behind their work, do the right thing, and genuinely care about their customers. I can't say enough good things about Jake's, especially the ownership. They've earned a loyal customer for life, and I'll gladly recommend them to anyone who needs automotive work. This is exactly what I've always hoped for in a relationship with a repair shop.
