Great place to eat in a small little town. We love the hand made pizzas ... the drinks aren't bad either.

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, an open kitchen, wonderful smells, and the kind of friendly service that makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. The staff is upbeat, attentive, and genuinely seems to care that you're having a great experience. The pizza is phenomenal! It's perfectly crisp crust, generous toppings, and that ideal balance of sauce and cheese. Every bite tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. We had a pepperoni pizza with hand tossed crust, and a mac and cheese pizza with a thin crust! Both were fantastic. We also had the balsamic chicken and arugula flatbread; another winner! Hands down one of the best places in Green Bay for pizza, we look forward to trying some of the sandwiches next time. Five stars all the way! We'll definitely be back!

What a hidden gem, a half mile off the highway, but you may need your GPS to navigate to it. Being from New England originally, I was delighted to find what they carried main lobster rolls for a limited time, so I had to order one of those and then we ordered a spicy Italian sub and split both for variety. Both sandwiches were superb, and the lobster rolls were significantly less expensive than the small handful of places that you can find them here in Northeast Wisconsin. The place was fairly empty because we got there well after lunch hour, but we were surprised to not see anyone else in there because this place is far better than most other options, including, but not limited to the corporate franchise options like subway, Jimmy John's, firehouse, subs, etc. Nothing beats Local small business owned restaurants like this! The staff was very friendly, and although the place was empty, they were processing a bunch of phone orders and we've watched a bunch of people come through for pick ups. Our sandwiches were prepared within five minutes, and they were absolutely delicious! We highly recommend this place and plan to go back next time we're off the Door Peninsula and down in that Green Bay area around lunch.

Our Lady of Good Help Shrine is located in the middle of nowhere, in a field far from anything. We found a Groupon for 4 people - $40 for $22 at a place called Rendezvous. After mapping the location we proceeded to drive from Our Lady of Good Help Shrine to a location in the middle of nowhere 9.2 miles away on a country road intersection. The Rendezvous is a combination restaurant/bar/bowling alley down by 2 county roads. When we walked in we had to go down about 4 or 5 steps into a very dated establishment. There were a number of people sitting at the bar having drinks and watching college games on tv. The bowling alley was empty when we got there. We asked the bartender if we could grab a seat and she said sit anywhere. The dining room looked like the basement of a old 60's condo that I use to live in. There were folding tables and chairs set up so the 4 of us grabbed a table. The waiter came with 4 menus and gave us a brief rundown on some of the items. He was a young guy that was very pleasant & was willing to put up with questions from the Illinois city folk. Overall the service was good, a little slow, but good They have a variety of items for dinners and were reasonably priced. I orders the family style broasted chicken (as much as you want) which was very good that came with way too many sides. The sides included mashed potatoes (ehh made from a powered mix), coleslaw (which was very good, seasoned well with fresh ingredients), stuffing (ehh not worth mentioning), gravy (kind of a grey color and way too much cornstarch), corn (not too bad) & sauerkraut (ehh I could have done with out it) & desert (cherry cheesecake, brownies, pumpkin cake& homemade kit Kat cake). Did I mention I tried all of them? The broasted chicken was delicious and by far the best item in the family style meal for $8.95 all inclusive. My wife's friend ordered the 4 piece broasted chicken dinner. Her husband and my wife ordered the short ribs which were pretty blahhhh It was an ok meal (broasted chicken was pretty good I would give this a solid 4+ stars) for a reasonable price, huge quantities and good service. The short ribs were probably not even a 2 star. I doubt if I will ever be out there again in the middle of Packer country, but hey if you don't try it you never know what you are missing.

During trip we got the Krohn brands Mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, regular cheese curds and cheese curds with garlic all fresh made on the premises. All the purchased cheeses were very flavorful and fresh where the mozzarella had a creamy texture with nice milk tones, some of the best I have had and the cheddar had a nice tangy earthy note. High marks for both. The cheese curds, while not my cup of tea, were well received by my Wisconsinite brother-in-law who thought they were quite good as well. Aside from the cheese products this business also carries a large assortment of fresh made ready to cook pizzas, a large assortment of home made dog treats (definitely dog lovers own this business), and other assorted small merchandize. The other thing to mention relative to Covid is that this business practices good safety protocols where everyone is wearing a mask, hand sanitizers are readily available for customer use and most importantly free masks, if needed, are available as you enter the store. Nice!! Overall a nice cheese store to visit if you are in the area as there is nothing better than fresh cheese when you can find it.

Their cheese curds could very well be the best I've had anywhere - every bite squeaks! You know they are fresh when they bring them out of the back and stack them on the tables before chilling. The lemon pizza featured lemon flavor, of course, but it was perfectly balanced with the flavors of the smoked mozzarella, basil, arugula, and EVOO! The Beef Marsala was rich, but not too rich, in flavor with very tender pieces of beef braised in a red wine reduction and accompanied by mushrooms, creme fraiche, basil, mozzarella, and a delicious Marsala demi drizzle The crust on both was perfectly crispy with a slight chew. They call it Roman style pizza, in that the dough is made fresh in-house in the same manner the traditional Roman pizza (think thick, rectangular pizza) dough is made, but as a "pie" shape, you get a light, crunchy edge and crispy thin crust. It was unlike anything I've had in the Milwaukee area. My friend and I also started with glass of Macedonian pinot noir and finished with a traditionally small pour of Vin Chaud, which is similar to mulled wine. Both were fantastic! There are some gems in Elkhart Lake, and Harry's is one of them. I highly recommend you add Harry's to your list when in or near Elkhart Lake. This is the same family that opened Harry's Prohibition Bistro and Harry's Diner in Sheboygan, which I've also enjoyed in recent years!

I would say a more "upscale" or wood fired pizza with crispy crust - however the pizzas run on the smaller side, so make sure to order more than normal. I loved Bridge Up Brewing even before I tasted their beer. This is a little local Wisconsin brewery located on the basement-level of the building that houses Sonny's Italian Kitchen. When you walk into the lobby, instead of walking up the steps to Sonny's, take the ramp down below to Bridge Up and enjoy a beer or a flight of beers. They have a small menu of appetizers, mostly wings and fried things, but if you want a full meal, you should probably go upstairs to Sonny's. I didn't want a full meal, so I stayed at Bridge Up and ordered a flight of beers. One of them was a sour (I love sours), and the others were some of the more popular beer flavors. I picked the U-Pick, which is a flavored with Door County cherries, and was one of my favorites. The others were the higher ABV beers: Flip Flops and Bikini Tops (an imperial IPA) and Stubborn Sturgeon (a New England hazy IPA). I loved all of the beers I chose, but the cherry-flavored U-Pick was my favorite. When in Door County, always choose the cherry-flavored thing! If Bridge Up has U-Pick available when you visit, I highly suggest trying it. The people who work here are very friendly but also stay out of your way, which I appreciated. They encourage you to play something on the jukebox, so go ahead and put on your favorite songs.
