I'm not sure that it wasn't the BLT and French Fries that resulted in such a strong game at league tonight. It would be inaccurate to say that the sandwich was a 300 but at least a solid 190, and when you average 125, that says something. Come for the bowling and leave with the calories. This place sucks. My first issue was with the bar. The bar has recently been in trouble for serving to minors according to their own bartender Connor. I am a 26 year old with an enhanced drivers license which has never given me any issues anywhere. He refused to serve me because he claimed my ID "was missing some of the UV stuff." I told him to scan it because it's a real license and apparently 20th Century Bowling can't afford a scanner. That aside, the lanes were terrible to play on. Not to mention the pin setter on lane 6 was constantly breaking with really slow repair times. Service all around deserves 0 stars but apparently 1 star is as low as I can go. I will never come back here or recommend to anyone. read more

We have been here twice and had a good experience each time. Shoes are nice and clean. Clean playing area. Lots of balls to choose from. Excellent beer selection. Plenty of street parking. called ahead and they told me to come in at 3:00. We drI've 30 minutes to get there but the lanes had filled up. I tried to enquire about getting on the wait list but the person behind the counter couldn't seem to understand what I was asking about. we were more than happy to wait till a lane opened up but she just kept telling me that "these people all had reservations. Not sure what that had to do with wanting to get on a wait list. finally lost my mind and left. Park and Bowl was open and when we got there they were very friendly. Small but quality experience. The times are a bit wonky and I've updated them here. I wish they were open earlier during the weekdays but the experience here is excellent. I haven't bowled leagues here but the lanes and scoring equipment has all been updated. This is a clean establishment and we look forward to bowling here more often. read more

Super cool & small bowling alley that keeps things old school, which I appreciate! Also has multiple pinball machines! What's not to love. Bums me out to see bad reviews, most of them are from years ago anyway. I've been here multiple times and had great experiences! There's not a million lanes so it's understandable that you can't walk in on a busy weekend and expect to bowl right away. Went here with my friend last night. He has a service animal that he needs for his disability. The "manager" denied us service because he didn't want my friends service dog there. It is against federal law to refuse service to someone who has a service animal because it is discriminating against that person who has a disability. i.e. Title II and III under ADA. Maybe the "manager" didn't know about this law, however when trying to explain this to him he let us know he'd be happy to call the cops to kick us out. Terrible experience, and I do not support any business that is going to discriminate against others. Surprised this happened in Bellingham tbh Just because my friend isn't in a wheelchair doesn't mean they don't have a disability. **update: when posting my review on google the owner tried to play it off as a refusal to serve alcohol. Nobody in my party had been drinking, or ordered alcohol. We only requested a lane to bowl and they clearly said sorry no dogs allowed. It bothers me that instead of apologizing they are trying to play it off that it was something wrong that my group did. read more

I used to love coming here until last night. I was out with friends after a long, and emotional day. I was excited to bowl and enjoy some beers. When I showed up with my boyfriend we went up to buy shoes. The man at the counter was so incredibly rude to us. We kindly asked for shoes and the man at the counter rolls his eyes, makes us seem like we're unwelcome and goes "here." The whole night he was on his phone playing games and not doing his job. He would ignore people and roll his eyes anytime someone needed help. When my group of friends was ready to leave we all brought our shoes up to the counter and proceeded to pay. He became so irritated and started yelling at us for not untying our shoes. It was an honest mistake, I didn't understand his need to get SO angry. Then, my boyfriend went to go pay, we only played one game since we showed up late. He was charged for 3 games because the guy at the counter wasn't paying attention and charged him as one of our other friends. He blamed it on my boyfriend saying he wasn't loud enough. Maybe if you opened your eyes and ears and did your job you wouldn't have made such a mistake. After that ordeal happened I leaned over to my boyfriend and simply stated "that's irritating." Because it was. The man at the counter started yelling at me and harassing me saying "don't ever come back here with your little mouth saying stupid comments." All my friends backed me up thankfully. However, that was uncalled for and EXTREMELY unprofessional. I did not feel welcome even in the slightest. I will not be coming back nor will I promote this place. read more

Went there today to celebrate some birthdays and the two men there working were incredibly rude.

This bowling alley is located off of State St. in downtown Bellingham. I went on a Thurs. night and street parking was aplenty. Another perk of this place is that it's close to my favorite ice cream shot, Mallard's. Upon walking in, you notice that this place is like most other bowling alleys; nothing in particular really stands out. This place is a bit dated but still lively. There are the typical bowling lanes and some arcade machines. You can order food from the concession stand and consists of french fries, burgers, etc. (the typical unhealthy, fattening grub you find at most bowling places). Hence, this is why I keep saying, it's just your typical bowling alley. What would impress me? If they served some gourmet food for the bowling patrons (how about lobster or king crab?). Anyhow, on a weekday, we bowled two games and with three of us, the total bill was $30. That's $5 a game if I did the math correctly. read more

Coming up to Bellingham on my birthday, i thought i was going to have a fun night and we planned to go bowling. When we entered the bowling alley, the first employee encounter we had was a male with long hair saying "sorry we can't have you guys here we are understaffed". We then explained that i was my birthday and we just wanted to play a couple of games. He then responded and said "you have 30 minutes to play one game." We agreed and started our game. And half way through we were told by a female employee that "you guys should leave". At this time it was 2 hours before closing. This was the worst and hostile customer service I've ever encountered in my life. I work in the hotel industry and have never seen employees treat customers with such disrespect. I will never come back to this bowling alley as long as live. These employees should be terminated and never work at this company. I've never written a yelp review until today because i have never felt obligated to. The only reason i have to come back to this bowling alley is to telll these employees that they should be fired and whoever is working on 3/7/20 that should be fired. Me & 5 of my friends came in for my friends birthday an hour and a half before they closed & the guy working said "we're closed because we're short staffed" when there was practically nobody in the place. I actually bowled here when visiting relatives early March. The bowling alley does have an old school feel to it as all the lanes are close to each other. In addition there's only half as many lanes available compared to a modern bowling alley. I had fun bowling but paying was a different story. The price was somewhat expensive in my opinion. Maybe I should've asked for the student rate or bowled during a late night promotion. I also wish they had more of a variety of bowling balls to choose from. This bowling alley has been around for over 70 years and has not lost its quaint charm. Even though the lanes and building have been refurbished, it still has its retro feel. The alley has 16 lanes, several beers on tap, a decent sized menu, cafe lounge area and a pro shop. The staff is friendly and even remembered my name after a few return visits. This place is typically awesome and has good prices and beer by the pitcher. Today we called before coming to make sure we could get a lane. The gentlemen told us on phone that there was a league playing from 6-9.. we should up to play from 5-6 for a few short games and we're turned away due to "oiling the lanes". I'm not upset About the maintenance, but I am with the guy who said it would be open and then after driving all way there was told I can't bowl. Just hosted an event here and they really were nice and friendly. It's in downtown b'ham and it's open late. So if you ever need to host an event and need all the lanes, it's doable and affordable. They have all you need if you have kids as well. Bumpers, light balls, and even those rolling racks. We're definitely coming back to host another event. read more

While it's not the highest quality bowling alley, I had generally really liked 20th century for a couple decades until recently. The guy who frequently works the counter has become known around town as a rude dude, and that was on full display the other night when I was there. He refused to make a list of people waiting for lanes and instead seemed to arbitrarily decide who was next in line for a lane. He was blatantly rude to anyone who stepped up to the counter, and he started a big fight with a guy in the bar area who did not appear to do anything before he and another guy started attacking the customer. I like the location of this much better than park bowl on Meridian, however it's not as nice a facility. It's small with ~10-15 lanes. Small selection of house balls. But, it's fun bowling and conveniently located. Grab a ball. read more

We have experienced many good times bowling here but this time ruined it for us. From the moment we came in it was as if our business was unappreciated and we were just getting in their way. The guy behind the counter greeted us with a more then sarcastic attitude. It was completely empty in the place yet we were asked to move lanes twice and our food took 30 mins to make when we ordered fries. Once we got asked to move so they can clean our lanes we had more then enough. I have to say the service sucks! You can bowl, drink, and have a great burger. This place is a classic joint in town. It's a good experience all around.

Lanes are only a couple years old. Scoring computers are only a couple years old. All newer than the other houses in Whatcom or Skagit counties. Good food, staff is pretty awesome with a low turnover rate. Love this place. read more
