Located in the city-owned athletic complex that includes Joe Martin Stadium, Arne Hanna Aquatic Center, and the Sportsplex this basic-but-functional concrete monstrosity features a huge parking lot and two stadium-style covered seating areas (the larger of which is generally reserved for the home team fans). I've been to any number of events here: cross country, track & field, football, soccer, heck even a food truck festival. It's no fancy big-city stadium, and the concessions are pretty limited, but it serves a great purpose in our community.

I especially love giveaway nights where they give the first 800-900 fans a business sponsored gift.. baseball, hat, cup, or another fun gift. There is bleacher seating, or bring a blanket or chairs to sit in the grass. One of my personal favorites is the All Stars game with all the mascots, and my favorite of all time.. our very own Dinger! Sometimes they have fireworks after the show, and that's always fun! There was no designated parking lot for the park, so I went with street parking on one of the streets bordering the park. It was a windy and chilly autumn day with the orange leaves and green grass contributing to an overall magical feel. In the time I spent strolling around the park I was the only one about and about on foot. A large grassy area was encircled by a paved path with trees closer to the edges of the park. Benches speckled along the paved walkway provided places to sit. A cluster of amenities abutted a tree-covered hill with small trail system. Included was a covered picnic table area, a playground, and a swing set with swings both for the young kiddos and more adult size. It was a pleasant place to go for a stroll.

Best known as home to the Farmer's Market, this venue is actually owned by the City of Bellingham and boasts any number of events in its unique indoor/outdoor setting. Outside there are long rows of covered areas to protect vendors from sun/rain, and inside the vast, naturally lit space is flexible enough for anything from meetings to weddings to dances. There are also convenient bathrooms, and up in the SE corner of the building you will find the Depot's only permanent resident: Ralf's Bavarian Pretzels. I've spent many an hour (perhaps even several entire days) at the Depot, and I never tire of its classic Bellingham vibe. See you at the next festival!

He then was put on preteam, and then on a team, at a level 4. He is on a level 5 team, as of summer 2018. I like the coaches he has had and has now. (Loved Coach Max) This program has helped my grandson mature, bond with teammates and focus on improving his skills. I am sure this program may not work for some kids, but it has been amazing for this one! I am a former elementary school teacher, and have a pretty good sense of kids and how they are motivated. I watch between 4 and 6 hours of practices week. So my comments are based on a good deal of observation.
