And we weren't wrong. Alan's process to prepare for our big day was thorough and thoughtful. Music and dancing wasn't a particularly big part of our day, given most of our guests weren't big dancers, but Alan's wealth of experience led him to provide value in other, much needed, ways. He advised us on the flow of our timeline, offered suggestions on the best photo opportunities, and integrated a clever way to get as many guests on the dance floor to start the night off right. What I saw in Alan, that I didn't see in any other of the 7+ DJs I talked to, was his ability to see himself as a part of the bigger picture and not "just a DJ." He wasn't just thinking about the music, but about where the guests were, how to flow from one activity to another, and the pacing to make the experience for the couple AND guests an incredibly memorable one. On the day of, we had to remain flexible with the timeline & Alan stepped in to coordinate with the vendors on real time, live changes. Peter and Karen were a joy to work with; they were excellent, quick communicators. As far as wedding/reception venues go in Seattle, this one was really well priced. Loved that tables/chairs/dishes/flatware were included in the price. The only things that may present slight issues are that there is no parking onsite (although lots of parking options close-by), and that the space is maxed out at 160 guests. We had 115 and I think it'd be too crowded to go much higher than that. There's also no elevator for older folks, but there's not too many stairs and they aren't very steep.

He spoke about music, sure, but he also talked about the little things he was willing to do during our event - including coming by and busing our table if he thought it wasn't getting done so that our pictures looked great. He was just so thoughtful and really made us feel like he really wanted to be part of the team that made our wedding day as special as possible. It turns out that sitting down and trying to plan out what music you want to hear at your wedding isn't quite as easy as it sounds on paper. Everybody knows what they like, but trying to explain that to the person that you are entrusting your party to isn't always easy. Luckily, Danny is extremely organized and helped us break down our big, complex day into smaller chunks which made picking music to match so much easier. He also had a ton of recommendations so we never felt like we didn't have somebody to point us in the right direction. We told him we wanted the vibe to feel less like we hired a DJ to press play on a playlist of generic wedding music, and more like we had hired a DJ to come play bangers for us, our families and friends - this included mixing tracks to help us keep the energy up. Danny could not have been more receptive to the ask and it showed in his excitement! Our wedding has come and gone, and we're so happy to share with you that Danny absolutely killed it! He exceeded all expectations at every stage of the day -- His passion and energy came through in his work and we just can't imagine our day with somebody else. We received sooooo many compliments on his behalf from our guests, and a pair of our friends was so impressed with his work, energy and attitude that they booked him for their wedding! Our engagement session was so comfortable and beautiful despite us not knowing how to pose correctly, and with our dog in the pictures! But Jason's patience and guidance helped us get beautiful natural looking pictures. At our wedding, Jason arrived early to grab some amazing drone footage of our beautiful venue and scouted for some of the best spots to take first look, sunset, bridal portraits, etc. Jason really helped us plan out our schedule for the day and how the wedding party, family portraits, and cocktail hour would fit together so we could prioritize spending time with our guests. Jason and Sean did a beautiful job doing photo and video together, and all of our guests enjoyed the candid portraits photos from the wedding. We're so thankful we also got Jason's photobooth for our wedding package because it was so easy to use and could print in multiples so everyone one of our guests would be able to get the copy they wanted!
