They took great care of our guests, were professional, and made the drinks portion of the night easy as can be! In addition, Eddena worked with my crazy self trying to figure out last minute cocktails and provided great advice on garnish, mixers, etc. She even made the cinnamon simple syrup we used! I used DeGruv Liquid Catering for a holiday party that I threw for 100 people in December and had a great experience. Eddena was easy to work with and the bartenders showed up on time and stayed even later than they were supposed to as my party was still going strong at the end of the shift. DeGruv Catering is, dollar for dollar, the best bartending service in Seattle. Eddena is a professional. She was pleasant and solid to work with leading up to the event, answering questions, offering services and then she just rocked the wedding. Her and her team of bartenders helped me forget all the planning and managing and just enjoy myself because they had it. They took care of business and everyone was satisfied. I'm a little late on the review here, but I worked with Eddena and crew to cater and bartend our 90 person wedding reception on August 29th. Despite power outages in various parts of Seattle and trees down in the roads, they quickly got everything set up and everyone loved them! Eddena was very easy to work with and really made the event go smoothly. Very cost effective and flexible! I also loved the various bartending packages they offered. We purchased the beer, wine, and liquor, but it was so nice to have them purchase the mixers for us. She also made sure that we had the right equipment for our kegs (because I was very clueless about all of this). I felt like I was in very good hands from the moment we started working with Eddena. DeGruv was hired earlier this month to cater a celebration dinner for our non-profit organization, and they did an amazing job! Over 150 people attended our sit-down dinner, and the food/service was great. All courses (salad, main, dessert) were delicious. I ordered the fish, and my fiancé ordered the chicken. Eddena is helpful and easy to work with, supplies were included with her quote which eliminated us having to do the extra work. We used their bartending and decoration services for our 60 person wedding. Each experience is different, however I see an opportunity for their staff to be a little more organization on the day of the event. We covered the agenda for the day about two weeks prior to the day of. However, right before walking down the aisle I was asked "who walks down with who again?", then "who are the people who sit in the front row, what do they look like?". Perhaps communication approach or choice of words when interacting could be handled differently. As a bride and a coordinator myself, this caused anxiety right before walking down the aisle and made me doubt if we were all on the same page (which set the tone for the event). I really wish I could give 5 stars... the portable bar setup looked amazing and it was great working with Eddena since she provided a list of what to purchase but... they arrived at my wedding a little later than I would have liked (I was starting to worry they weren't going to show up!) and that just added stress to my day. Also, they announced "Last call" 2 hours before the end of the reception. Luckily, they were flexible and ended up staying later so that wasn't a huge issue. I heard from a few guests that they were given a hard time when they tried to order a drink. One guest was told they ran out of cups, then the next day during cleanup we noticed about 75 cups leftover. Overall, we weren't disappointed but it was not what we expected. read more

She made a custom list of all of the items we needed for the drinks we wished to serve at our wedding. I have hired Degruv for the past 2yrs. If you want the Best professionalism money can pay for look no further! There are many levels from timeliness to knowledge of the biz and paramount in my book ease of Mind knowing that part of your event is handled. Degruv comes very highly recommended and worth every penny and then some! I travel a very high amount so when I come in to town and set up for something I have a high level of expectation that things will be handled and not babysit it. If Degruv didn't meet your expectations it's because you didn't open your soup cooler and say what you want in advance or your just cheap. Communication is everything and I doubt when you know what you want in a deal your crystal clear in your delivery. You get what you pay for! So don't have reserves about paying what they are worth. Eddena is quick to respond and super helpful during the whole pre-planning process. Their extensive menu makes it easy to fit things in your budget with out any compromises. Day of the event - they are timely, professional and pull together all the last minutes details with out a hitch - which is HUGE because it makes it easier for the host/hostess to relax and enjoy the party too. Eddena's bartending skills are second to none, she remembers every guest's drink after the first round, she's fun, friendly and the guests all loved her. The prime rib carving station was cooked to perfection, the platters where gorgeously arranged and all of the passed appetizers were absolutely delish! :) This party wasn't even over and we were all planning the next one.
